Have you read Catch 22? If not I would really recommend it. It's a fantastic book.

HUNGER GAMES!?! *shot a lot*

Hmm, well I don't really read a lot of "normalish" fiction books, so I can't really help you in that aspect, but I can recommend Dealing With Dragons or The Search for WondLa which are two really great series in my opinion.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

1984.

I'm not nerdy I promise. It's just a really good book.

Yeah, it is pretty good. I prefer Fahrenheit 451 though.

Not really a "normal" book, but Ready Player One is GREAT.

Both are great!

I really enjoyed To Kill a Mockingbird. I just bought its sequel!

I just finished Fahrenheit 451 because it was a required Summer Reading book for my Freshman year and it was really good.

Fahrenheit 451 is a good book, but I do prefer 1984. I just felt more invested in the world.

The Swiss Family Robinson. I believe it falls under realistic fiction, and if you like survival stories this would be a great book for you. If you do end up reading that and would like something a bit similar you could read Robinson Crouse or however you spell his last name. It's a bit more of a tougher read but it is really good.

The original Dracula is pretty good. Also Frankenstein, or (the shorter) Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I could also recommend some new Star Wars books, like "Star Wars: A New Dawn."

The Things They Carried was pretty great in my opinion.
Pride and Prejudice was more enjoyable than I expected.
I've also heard Lord of the Flies was pretty good.
Oh and also The Book Thief smilie
