For an Adam Sandler movie it actually wasn't that bad, it had some funny moments. (Although to be honest it had a LOT of those 3D FU moments where they just throw anything at you because they can)

I really like the concept of the movie yet the way it was pulled off is what makes me think less of it.

Not really for several reasons
1. I just found out via the pre-movie trailers that DBZ will be in theaters (Or is already according to your post)
2. I don't watch Dragonball Z (To much anime and game walkthroughs to finish watching)
3. Century Theaters weren't listing DBZ so even if I wanted to I couldn't see it.
