Here we can see him doing a wonderful Biellmann Spin, a very intensely difficult move in Figure Skating and particularly difficult for a man. This alone shows how much work he puts into being the best dancer.

As much as I love Waluigi, (He's my favorite Mario character and one of my all time favorites in general), I don't see him getting a game anytime soon. It's a step in a good direction though!

Rosalina is a Water type in Puzzles & Dragons SMB Edition. Keep in mind this is base Rosalina too, not the upgraded "Super Rosalina" (who is Water/Light):



Rosalina also has absolute control over gravity and physics, which would automatically mean she could control wind by extension. She hasn't been specifically shown using wind in any way (unless you count the subtle windbox on her "Luma callback" animation in Smash, though that was added in a patch anyway), but wind is literally just the movement of air particles and chemicals in specific ways depending on the environment (wind works differently depending on the gravity and atmosphere you are in). Waluigi has only ever been shown to use wind assuming Earth-like gravity and atmosphere, but since Rosalina can change that at will, she could use any kind of wind she wants in any kind of setting (e.g. she could use solar wind or planetary wind on Earth).

That being said you are grossly overrating Waluigi here.

The sports games generally aren't characters genuinely using some power, more than their specials being portrayed as a cinematic FX to go along with their moves. For example, Daisy often has flower themed specials, but the flowers are often transparent particle effects, you can clearly tell they aren't real and are just added FX. Same goes for Waluigi. It's really only the canon, main series characters that are depicted using actual powers associated with them (Mario and his fire, Luigi and electricity, Bowser's Fire Breath, Rosalina's ever-growing array of cosmic powers, etc).

Also Mario & Luigi swim perfectly fine in the 2D games, Super Mario 64 (along with Yoshi and Wario in the DS remake), the Galaxy games, and 3D Land and 3D World without any trouble, and with no power-ups. Toad, Peach, and Rosalina also swim just fine in 3D World. Not to mention the Mario & Sonic Olympics games, all of the Mario characters can swim there. Oh, and Brawl and Smash 4 too.

Waluigi is more or less a normal guy in terms of abilities, he doesn't really have much in the way of signature moves or powers, which should be obvious considering his "signature move/element" changes from developer to developer.

He's not a member of the main cast (he's never appeared in a main series title - even the Mario Maker costume lists "Mario Tennis" as his franchise of origin - he also isn't made by Nintendo EAD), but Rosalina is taller than him (and can also change height at will, such as with her giantess form in the Galaxy games), and Bowser is typically taller than him.



If they both took off their headgear, Rosalina would be slightly taller, since Waluigi's hat is very thick.

He's not main cast though, as many of the characters you listed don't even appear in the "majority" of Mario titles (there are literally about 200 Mario games). How many titles a character appears in isn't what makes them a main cast member, it's if they appear in the main titles frequently. Rosalina is easily main cast, despite being in only about 10 games (and Smash isn't even a Mario game, so).

Waluigi is just a minor side character who is considered low priority, hence his omission from Mario Kart 7.

While I don't agree, I really don't want to debate this now. Agree to disagree, since this is something I never intended to get into an argument about. I'm going to stop here.

It's not really an opinionated matter since Nintendo devs and reps have said as much in interviews and what not. Waluigi was actually planned to be in MK7, but because he was low on the list of priority and they ran out of time, they never got around to him. The way they handle it is they make the essentials first (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, Yoshi, Toad, Rosalina, Bowser, etc), then they go for whatever newcomers they want, and then they put in minor characters like Waluigi, Daisy, and Koopa Troopas and what not. With MK7, they ran out of time more quickly, so some low priority characters didn't make it, like Waluigi.
