Okay so I made this topic not to get sympathy but to tell you how I got in this crazy mess. Okay so I turned 16 in May and I have had my car since the 23 of June but 4 days ago I got into a car crash because this kid he was proberbly 3 or 4 years old and he was running after his toy on the road. So I swerved and went into the other lane but almost emmmedately got hit before I could go back on the right side on the road in my lane and so here I am at home just got released from hospital with a broken rib and leg. The funny is that the little kid caught his ball and ran back home he didn't notice a thing until his mum rang the hospital. I'm also in some deep **** I have to pay the owner of the car I ran into a little over 200 000 for damages which sucks, but looking back on it now I'm just happy the kid didn't get hit but man I'm so fu&$ed I need to get back to my part time job as soon as possible. But my parents are trying to sort out the damages with the other driver.

Oh **** that sounds terrible, I'm so sorry for you man, I would have done the same thing, and I hope you can find some way to get the money to that guy?..

Thanks, yeah I think we have come to an agreement that I will give him the money after I get back to work and save up the money but in the meantime ahhhh

You should think of it this way:

You may have damaged 2 cars but you, the kid and the other driver survived.

The other driver is making you pay that much? Seriously? What an asshole! This is what insurance is for. >.> That's wayyyy too much for any person to be forced to pay for much of anything, really. Unless it's a foreign currency where 200 000 is closer to like... $2000 USD

:L Like seriously, you had to avoid running over a little kid, you got injured in the result, and you're a young driver. That's like... triple whammy of being not your fault.

You saved a life and everyone's safe. That's all that matters.

Man, that's really too bad. :/ At least everyone survived.

$200,000 is a lot though... Don't you have insurance or something?
