I remember that game, but the series is dead now. It was replaced by Disney Infinity.

Yeah. I will always love this series better. Disney closed down Junction Point. This series is so special to me. The first game is my favorite game ever.

I really enjoyed all three games, though I haven't 100%'d Epic Mickey 2 yet. Thanks for reminding me. :)

Yeah! 2 was kinda disappointing, but the first game reintroduced me to Oswald, who quickly became my favorite fictional character of all time. He is cocky, but hilarious simultaneously! The final part of the first game was awesome!

As a Disney fan I always wanted to like these games, but I just couldn't get into the console versions of either. I did like Power of Illusion though!

Yeah, the first game takes a while to get good, but when it does, it gets amazing! The second game kinda disappointed me.

"replaced by Disney Infinity." You can't really replace something that wasn't similar or related to begin with.

Well, Disney Infinity took the place of Epic Mickey in the real games that Disney was selling.

I feel like the only reason why this series ended was because the fact that Junction Point closed due to poor sales with the second game.

Ah! I always enjoyed Epic Mickey! I loved everything about the first one - except maybe the tutorial level. I was really dissapointed in the second game, and wish a true sequel would be made. Disney still has the IP of the series. And no, Disney Infinitey doesn't replace it. I really don't know what could.

I played 2'bcause I heard good reviews about it
It was fun but I then got a 3ds and neglected the wii
Then somthing happened, every time a started the game it would spawn me in a random level.

I liked a few levels in Epic Mickey 2, yet I felt that the game being a musical was rather silly, and finally the game was too short. I heard that much more was planned to expand the game, but the game was rushed to stores, and the failure of Epic Mickey 2: The Power of 2 caused the shutdown of Junction Point.

Well, they both have playable Mickey. But technically Disney Infinity replaced Disney's licensed games in general, not just Mickey.

At least we still have the excellent Disney Magical World left (and there's a sequel on the way, too!), cause Infinity definitely isn't scratching any itch for decent Disney games.

Particularly since they have yet to make even a single playset about any of Disney's animated films. Not even Frozen, which you'd think would be a no brainer. All we've gotten are playsets based on Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Jerry Bruckheimer films.

With the game getting cancelled, all hope is lost. Disney is certainly not making life easy for us who want more video games from them.

We've still got Disney Magical World 2 coming up, at least. It recently got a US release date - October 14th - and hopefully Europe won't be quite as far behind as we were for the first game... I'm really looking forward to that game after spending over 500 hours with the first.

And although it's not quite my cup of tea, we got Disney Art Academy, too.

Disney Magical World 2 is a 3Ds game releasing October 14,2016
Quote: Disney Wikia.com
Gameplay
Disney Magical World 2 is a life simulation game following the player throughout Disney-themed worlds. It retains some features from its predecessor including building furniture, clothing, and using ingredients. There are new features such as riding a boat and Disney characters who never appeared in the first game will be featured in the game as well.

Disney Art Academey is yet another 3Ds game that was released in North America on May 13,2016.

Quote: Wikipedia
Disney Art Academy is a 2016 educational Disney-themed drawing video game in the Art Academy series, developed by Headstrong Games and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS handheld game console.
---------

The player is taught how to draw various characters from Disney and Pixar films in various lessons. The game also utilizes the wireless communication function of the Nintendo 3DS by allowing players to send a demo of the game to each other.

Neither games are platforming action-adventure rpg games that teach you the history of forgotten toons, but they are disney video game merch regardless. If you want a game that is similar to Epic Mickey, then I..... don't know what to tell you.

Yeah, DMW is obviously very far from Epic Mickey, but I wouldn't hestitate to say it's my favourite Disney game of all time and even my favourite 3DS game. It was such a blast befriending all the Disney characters I love, helping them with all of their requests, crafting all the clothes and furniture, exploring all the worlds, defeating all the bosses and everything else. That game has so much to offer, and also has wonderful music and doesn't mess up almost every character with a terrible artstyle (looking at you, Infinity). :P

Also, the writing in the game is top-notch. You can clearly tell that the writers and translators are probably just as huge Disney geeks as the players.
