It's something similar to Microsoft having to skip Windows 9 because they programed Windows 95 and 98 as the Windows 9 series or something. ^.^;

This. Gem day has gone according to plan every time so far, no reason it won't this time. The amount of users should have no effect on giving out gems. Not every one of those 27000 users is getting gems anyway, assuming what you said is believable in the slightest.
