Or you could just tell by the fact they have an American accent? Like generally that gives it away before anything else.

Nope.

In all honesty tho i don't understand the dude or dudette who made this. I mean, in the end nationallity or race doesn't really matter, each human being is different & each of us have our own beautys, where we come from doesn't matter in anything except for the language you might speak, but in the end it doesn't matter, cause as i stated before, each of us is truly different & we all have our own beauties & falses, & thus this chart is meaningless

that whole "america only uses imperial units" thing is kind of inaccurate considering we use the metric system for literally everything professional and formal (excluding road distances because miles but whatever the united kingdom does that too so we get an exemption for that)

they only thing we really use imperial measurements for is our height and weight and that's only when discussing it casually, hospitals and stuff like that use metric for everything. i've only ever learned metric in school

True, but as the picture I posted points out, you haven't "officially adopted" the metric system system. I get that Americans aren't ignorant of the metric system, but there's a difference.

is there really an "official adoption" of the metric system that countries do, or is it just "oop we've started using the metric system now?"

I suppose an "official adaptation" would mean a simple change in law, etc. in this case.

but there really isn't a law to change. the government uses the metric system as well, particularly in the treasury and health departments. there's really nothing 'official' that even uses imperial measurements

There must be something that makes the distinction. Though I'm not sure what that is then.

What's taught in the schools is determined by state governments.

In every science class I've ever been in, we use the metric system. In math classes, we use both.

well typically for math questions, the units used for measurement themselves don't really matter, it's just the number that's important.
