I was so excited for the makeup reveal and then earlier today I saw this...He shouldn't have tattoos and gangster silver teeth. It's fine to change your characters, but you can never stray too far from the source material and that's what they've done now.

But in all honesty, I know they were trying to distance themselves from Nicholson's and Ledger's Jokers, and they certainly did that, but we can only hope his acting will make up for the terrible look.

They're basically butchering it.

Nicholson was weird wacky world, Ledger was ultra real world. They could've made Leto's Joker like the cartoons and games where it's real world but not too serious.

I've seen him before, he's just about the greatest Joker cosplayer I've ever seen.

They could have gone with the Arkham or Injustice styles too, those are both realistic yet cartoony.

it's funny because if he had a natural haircolour you literally could not tell that it's the Joker.

It's........................not good.

I try to tell people that the DCCU won't suck and Man of Steel didn't suck but that's not a very good impression. If they were trying to make a more realistic and modern Joker, they had it right with Ledger's design and makeup.

Maybe they're trying to work this as a sort of origin story for The Joker, where he starts small with his little band of goons, but slowly becomes a very serious and legitimate threat as he goes up against Batman. It's grasping for straws I know, but I want to believe there's more to this than what we see here. For one I doubt he's shirtless the whole time.

When's he supposed to be showing up anyway to where they reveal this stuff? Don't tell me he's going to be yet another cameo in BvS.

I wished they went with New 52 Joker and his sewed on face to show how insane he is but I guess having a "damaged" tattoo is close enough apparently.
