"no pony try hurt you?"Gary Sparkle said and his magic start appear growing."ugh,my horns start sparking".he kneel down slow.

I join my big sises, sitting beside them. Yawning I lay my head on my big sis, Luna's shoulder. I have spent hours translating and am tired. Perhaps a nap might be a good idea.

Gulaven put the blade away as he turned to Gary, "Gary, sir. Are you alright?" He then turned to Austin, "Looks like I'm short on time, Green Wings," he proceeded to administer the needle's contents into both limbs, "You should be mission ready in a few minutes depending on the severity of your injuries," he turned back to Gary, "If you'll excuse me for a minute please," he stepped over to Gary's side, "What ails you, Gary?"

"I am alright"Gary Sparkle said.

"Thanks sir" I said "Twilight, can I meet the princesses? Maybe they will be as nice to me like you have"

Lightfoot's fellow guards are a little intimidated by the Doctor. It is true, it takes a lot to become a member of the Royal Guard and each one had proven themselves, a formidable foe, but the Doctor was, well the Doctor. Lightfoot, their captain and leader, steps forward. He is not Captain of the Guard for nothing. His amber eyes stare into the Doctor's. His golden mane and tail, waving in the wind. His eyes tell Gulaven everything he needs to know.

After meeting finish,Gary Sparkle and Princess Celestia,Luna come out.

Gulaven holds his emotionless stare he had mastered with the parameters of his job, "The royal guard. I usually joke about you guys with my own co-workers," the lancet and mechanics of his foreleg close up to look like his other limbs, normal, "You all, seem familiar. I ask you to please state your name, squad or team, and you current objective," It was not known by intelligence that a squad was even roaming around today. he somewhat questioned their presence on the main road. Even more he questioned the changeling that appears be over looked by everypony.

I got up and slowly walked to the princesses "Hello, my name is Austin, I wish to live in this town" I said

"nice to meet you,Austin"Princess Celestia and Luna.

The Captain of the Guard does not even hesitate.

"Lightfoot, Captain of the Royal Guard. Our current objective is protection of the royalty. As for the changling, he does not seem a threat, but we are ready for action if necessary."

"please ecsort Gary Sparkls to his room"Princess Luna said to Lightfoot.

"Nice to meet you too" I said, maybe everything was going to be ok "Don't worry about me, I wouldn't want to do anything to endanger my stay here"

Lightfoot nods and leads Gary Sparkle to his room, while the others remain beside Luna, Celestia, Twilight and me.

"have you see corporal Starlight around here and she is first of royal guards"Princess Cadance said.

Gulaven watched the guard walk away with Gary, then turned to the Princesses, "Your majesties," he made a bow, slow and steady, "How does the day treat you both?"

I hugged Luna "Thanks again for letting me stay, I'm sorry I can't hug you all" I laughed

With my head, laying on my big sis, Luna's shoulder, I just smile and yawn tiredly. My deep, dark midnight blue eyes glisten in the light. The royal guards remain alert, watching the windows and any other entrances. Little do any of the others know that just earlier today I was ambushed by strangers, but Lightfoot and the others where on patrol, when they ran into me. They then drove them off before any harm could be done to me.

Starlight heard noise from another room."Halt,who goes there?"she said.

In his room,Gary Sparkle write scroll.

A group of eight masked ponies appear out of the shadows. Each one has a red raven on their suits of armor. The tallest of the, steps forward.

"Hand Astrello over and no one will get hurt," he says.

I stepped in front of Astrello "Too bad, this guy has been incredibly nice to me and I need to repay the kindness" I said, ready to fight

Lightfoot returns and pushes both Austin back as well as the Princesses. His amber eyes glisten in the light. He motions for his friends to join him, before speaking.

"Get everyone out. This group is only the beginning. Soon they..." He is interrupted as a great boulder engulfed in flames flies toward the window, where everyone is. He dives and knocks them to the ground before they can get hurt. Outside the city burns and screams echo throughout the darkness.

"there fallen debris in Gary's room windows"Princess Luna said.

I was scared "Guys... We should hide somewhere safe" I said

Starlight look at Austin."don't scared"Starlight said.

He bolder headed for Gary's room was suddenly blasted to bits of burned up dust. Gulaven had flown up to intercept it and fired upon it with his plasma rifle built into his right foreleg, "Get the civilians to shelters, anypony able to fly or light enough to b carried, evacuate to Cloudsdale," he seemed to make commands to no one, let alone the microphone also built into the limb of technology.

"Trust me, I'm trying not to be scared" I said, my legs shaking

Princess twilight Sparkle trot to Gary Sparkle's room."are you alright,my brother?"Princess Twilight Sparkle said to her brother Gary."yeah,I am alright"Gary Sparkle said.

The doctor turned to the window, "I suggest you all either move underground, or escape to Cloudsdale if you have the chance. Tell Princess Celestia that the Factory will fight at her side," he flew in closer, "You, guards," he called to the armored ponies, "You know your job well enough, don't let myself catch you slipping," he then turned to fly away out of sight.

"Factory? What is he talking about Gary?" I asked

"Clouddales?"Gary Sparkle said.

OOC: sorry, Gulaven had already flown off, and I was waiting for some time to elapse before I introduced him again... But I could have him come back if you want?

((What should I do?))

Grappling hooks appear through the broken windows and more of the armored ponies fill the palace. Lightfoot and his comrade do what they can to hold the intruders back but are quickly becoming overwelmed. The main doors of the palace shake as even more of the invaders try to force their way in.

"Run, get out of here, Lightfoot says to the others, as he engages in aerial combat with another pegasus.

During all the chaos that follows, I get separated from the others. Hiding under a table, I hope the invaders do not see me. However a group of eight notice me alone and move toward me, smiling as they do. I tremble with fear, hoping for help to come soon.

Meanwhile Midnight and her comrades gather the others, leading them away from the fight and defending them as they make their way toward one of the palace's secret passages, used for escape. Her horn locks with another unicorns and soon she is separated from the others. Her comrades wish to join her, but know that the safety of the others is the number one priority. As it grows more and more chaotic in the palace, more of the guards are separated from the main group. Soon they reach the passage and only four members of Midnight's comrades in arms remain with them. The rest, along with their leader, Midnight are swept up in battle.

"I got trap between behind walls"Gary Sparkle said.

Gulaven had followed through the broken walls as he was trailed by some dark armored pegasi, "Torch, get to Lightfoot anyway you can," he commanded the light tan Pegasus on his left, who followed the order, "Cauldron, take to the hidden passages and help defend entrance points," the dark blue Pegasus nodded and followed suit, "Alex, come with me," this last soldier didn't seem like the others. His helmet had a shaded glass covering his eyes, and a thick plate of metal covering his jaw and nose. A shell-like neck guard protected the back side of his head and neck. A long shield was placed on his back, a sword dangling below him, and his armor had no openings in it except the face and wings. The sound of machines, rotors, gears where light as he moved, but could be noticed if quiet and close. The mech. style armored pegasus walked unmoved by the commotion, even long shot arrows did not make him budge as he followed his leader.

Gulaven took a second to look off on the sideline like locations, vacant of battle. He spotted Astrello in just a second, "Black Knight, defend the prince, do not let him receive harm."

The dark blue suited soldier's glad gleamed as he turned to the prince. Gears clanked once, and the hips began lifting the pony up onto his hind legs. With a grappling link on his right hoof cuff, the machin gripped the sword tight, drawing it quickly as the Pegasus leaped up and glided over. Landing hard between Astrello and the attackers, "Stay behind me your majesty," Alex said as he used his left wing to latch the shield off of his back and took a sturdy stance that meant business.

I looked around "Where should I go sir?" I asked the dark blue soldier

Cauldron assisted in ending the lives of a few attackers, "If you can get outside," he paused as he kicked away one of the ponies, "R.F. Guards will see to it that you're escorted to safety."

"Are you there,Lightfoot?"Starlight said.

As Alex, the mech pegasus lands beside me and tells me to stay behind him, I cling to his back leg, trembling with fear. I flinch as one of the attackers removes a sword from his sheath. My wings remain folded at my sides, but my entire body trembles. The others draw their own weapons as well, one wielding a long spear and another a nasty looking halberd. Then the group all attack.

"I'm scared," I say as I look up at my defender.

Meanwhile Torch is going to have some major difficulty getting to Lightfoot. Badly bloodied, with his now useless wings, slashed from the unicorns surrounding him, the Captain of the Guard, battles on. His blood drips onto the ground, but still he fights on. More and more ponies with the insignia continue to pour through the breach. The main doors are smashed down and a massive steel pony enters with a vanguard of fierceom warriors. Behind them are more soldiers ready to do battle. An officer rushes over to the giant steel pony and the great beast speaks. It's voice, a blade being sharpened with a whetstone.

"What is it, captain, the pony asks. Where is Prince Astrello? I know he is here," he says.

"That's the thing sir, he is being protected by a mech pegasus. The others are fighting him but, even with their numbers they cannot get to him. We need help sir."

The giant steel pony smiles and pats the officer on the head.

"Do not worry captain, return to battle. I'll deal with this defender myself. I'll take the prince from his cold dead hooves."

I ran to Alex's side "I'm not much of a fighter, but I'll help you guys however I can" I said as I joined the fight, attacking the enemies that wanted to hurt Astrello

The visor, from the inside, coordinated all possible movements all the attackers could take, as soon as one was triggered, a solution was presented. Swiftly following the instructions, he brought the shield around, still attached to his wing, guarding his right side, as he leaned toward it to kick one pony while shield bashing another. The sword spun on the link, stopping just on the other side of another attacker's body. Bringing the kicked leg in, rotating the shield about the wing link to stop a sword slash, while continuing to rotate to hit their open side. Leaning way back to avoid a horizontal swing, he lurched forward to skull bash the pony's face with his helmet. Just as the pony staggered back, the mech night's sword was cast through the pony's chest. Pulling the blade out, he turned to Austin, "Changeling, can you morph?"

Torch was pretty much flying over the fight by bounding off the enemies' heads which distracted them ij combat. He lunged forward, turning his body sideways to widen his effective range, and slammed through some of the ponies around the royal guard, "Excuse me if I'm late, sir," he rolled and used a wing to flip back up to his hooves, "Looks like the royal guard trained you well eh, Lightfoot?" He smirked as he pulled his own sword out.

"No... I was never thought how..." I said

Lightfoot smiles at Torch. His wings lay useless at his side and his entire body is covered in slashes. Despite all this however, he continues to fight.

"Torch, my dear friend, long time no see, how have things been? I heard that after all these years, The Rainbow Factory has been destroyed and that our mutual friend, Dr. Gulaven has created a new facility specializing in various forms of scientific enhancements. How are things going there, Lightfoot asks as he parries an ax swing before thrusting his sword into the enemy's neck. Still despite The Captain of the Guards, bravery and constitution, his wounds are beginning to take their tool on the pegasus stallion. The enemy seeing this intensify their assault. Before Lightfoot can defend himself a spear is driven deep into his side. The Captain pushes forward, ignoring the pain as the spear cuts even deeper into him, as he drive his sword through his opponent's chest. Falling on his knees, Lightfoot struggles with a soldier as their weapons lock. Even with them cutting down soldiers, the numbers of the enemy seem endless. Pushing his enemy away and knocking him to the ground he speaks to his comrade. It's no use, there are just too many, we must fall back. We must push carve a way through this mass and back to our charges. Astrello, was separated from us, any idea where he is," he asks Torch, as he blocks an incoming sword strike.

Meanwhile back with Alex, Austin and I, the attackers continue to push, despite their fallen comrades. Then a massive form can be seen wading through the battle. A body entirely of steel with eyes of pale flame, it is headed straight for us. The soldiers laugh and make way as the giant beast strides forward.

"Where are we going to?"Gary Sparkle said to Lightfoot.

"What do we do guys?" I asked, afraid of what was coming next
