So had a request to add a friend and I accepted it.. took a look and he's at lvl50.. so level cap is not at 45 anymore?

It's still 45, sounds like a hacked game. Someone probably edited their save file on either a jail-broken iPhone or an Android, then the resulting file was uploaded to the cloud. I doubt they validate that value when it is sent, it's just a number.

Either that or it is a developer, but I would bet on it being a hacked file.
