lol i don't usually have trouble asking a girl for their number or anything

but

this chick (hot piece of ass dayyyyyyyuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm) is a coworker of mine and i literally just met started talking to her. she's really really cute.

anyways since i work in a different department than her (i work electronics she works front end as a cashier) i decided my best move to try and speak to her was to wait for my lunch, grab my food and check out at her register and start from small talk.

that went pretty well imo. she looked sick as **** so I asked her if she was okay and she sort of told me that she thinks she's coming down with the flu and that work was stressing her out

so i went ahead and told her I felt her pain lmao i totes worked in her dept. for two years and it was hell and that hopefully she would feel better soon.

randomly, (i don't know why these words came out of my mouth tbh) after i told her to feel better from being sick and work stress i told her that I would have totally gaven her a hug but i feared getting sick lol (all in confidence but i still don't know why i mention that --guess i wanted to give her a hug in general lol)

and she totally got red faced and blushed and said it really meant a lot.

eventually later in the day her and i got to talking more and we were laughing and goofing off.

anyways point of the topic is...: she works tomorrow and so do i, but i work a much shorter shift.

should i just go through her line tomorrow and ask her for her number when she isn't busy...? I think she's interested... trust me i have the confidence to go up and ask its just that she's literally in a spot where a ton of customers can come in and i don't want to bother her with that?

also it would have to be tomorrow because i got 9 ****ing days off after tomorrow (FML)...in other news she really dug my name lmao but so does everyone else

I'm genuinely surprised CAV didn't post here yet, and that I (probably the most aromantic person on dS) am the only one who gave a serious response besides Samius. Then if you're going strong, then slyly just ask her if "Hey I was wondering if you had any plans this (pick a day of the week). If not, would you maybe want to go to grab something to eat somewhere and go to that movie you want to see?"
Trust me, you may be extremely nervous and scared about asking, but believe me, it's not as awkward as it seems. Plenty of guys have asked me out. I blush a lot, yeah, tell them how nice of them that is, and then I say no. But lol that's because I'm already taken. My point being, lots of guys go through what you're going through, and the most important thing is to remember not to be too nervous, you'll make a fool out of yourself. Keep calm and ask her out.

It doesn't matter, it just seems weird. The majority of the userbase here are (at least mildly) socially anxious teenagers. Granted, not everyone is like that, but still.

That doesn't sound too bad. I wouldn't compliment her a lot right away because something like that can certainly seem kinda weird, but once you've talked enough that you feel relaxed around each other I don't see why you couldn't give her some honest compliments.
