Well, you clearly heard wrong.

After seeing the commercials for them at first I got so confused trying to figure out if it was new show, a video-game, or what. It wasn't until I saw something about Lego did I realize it was a toyline. The overall marketing didn't seem well done with it. The animated shorts are a nice way to give the characters life, but it doesn't really advertise the product itself, merely just an animated short.
