Well I thought I would add Barkley that came with Trap Team on 3DS to swap force on PS4 and he appears in the game ok but I cant add him to my collection to get the add a sidekick acolade and the 3 portal master stars that go with it.does anyone know why as I thought he would be compatable to the previous games just like the main characters.

That's odd.
They're meant to function as Side Kicks as they were previously know, any of the Giants sidekicks (Orange bases) will unlock the accolade. So should using a trap team mini but guess it doesn't!

Thats exactly what I thought thats why I was going to get all the minis this time around as all the original sidekicks never got released in the U.K.

There *IS* a slight difference in new vs. old sidekicks. I noticed that when you place any of the orange or green-based sidekicks on the Portal of Power in Trap Team they say "Series 1 Mini Skylander" instead of just "Mini skylander" as with the red bases. Apparently this distinction keeps Swap Force from registering your sidekick in the collection.

Ah ok sorry I was wrong about my last comment the only original mini that was released in the U.K. was trigger snappy and that came in a book

I had the same issue, pretty disappointing. It's also a bummer how you can't switch an S2 chase variant's path on this game.
