An old religion for old fans or a promise of a thriving new enterprise with Disney?

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

Honestly, I can't tell how it's going to go. It could be great, and Disney could prove that it isn't all just animated kids movies. OR.... It could be a joke.

But it's impossible to tell until I see it.

'Dorky Title' Please, do elaborate, you have no context on this film whatsoever other than the title and some pictures. I think it's brilliant, it's relating to the fact of how long we've been waking.

And everyone here seems to forget that just because Disney owns Marvel doesn't mean they have complete say in everything and are going to make it cheesy.

Just look at Avengers.

JJ Abbrams is brilliant and he'll do a fine job.

"The Force Awakens" just sounds like a dorky cliched title to me, on the same level as "The Force Unleashed" or "The Force Revelations".
Most people haven't been waiting that long. A lot of us just assumed that we weren't going to get any more films after Revenge of the Sith released.

Also JJ Abrams is just ok.

Isn't Disney just producing the movies? You know what else Disney produces?

It has. Maybe it's just me but I figured after the prequel trilogy, the saga was complete and they wouldn't continue it further with Episode VII or Episode -I or anything like that. Just some games, shows, and books about the EU.

When they announced a sequel trilogy I was genuinely surprised.

I rather feel the same. After Episode III, I sorta just figured that was it. Anything else would be questionably canon games, side series, books, etc.

I am excited for the new movie though am a bit hesitant in regards to seeing JJ Abrams and Disney with it. Regardless I will still go see it when it comes out.

Star Wars doesn't need a 7th movie, or a terrible title like "The Force Awakens"
It didn't even need the prequels...
*sighs*

I sure hope they don't over kidd-i-fy it,

I don't like how this is going, but then again, this could be good, and maybe reintroduce people to Star Wars, bring new fans, and maybe give the franchise a little oomph.

I find those movie to be rather overrated. Don't get me wrong, I think they're still good, but not as good as the hype they generate makes them out to be. Which is why I have doubts about the new Star Wars.

Not counting the sequels considering they are a disgrace, it has been thirty.

You guys need to stop ****ting on Disney, they are just producing it, which means they give them the money, they also have choice of casting and such. Disney will not 'kid-i-fy' it

And the title is NOT ****ty, Phantom Menace was a ****ty title, so was Attack of the Clones. And if you look back at the original Trilogy titles they were p cheesy and obvious and straight forward. It could be referring to a new Jedi whose Force has just awakened, it's the beginning of a new trilogy. i just dislike when people **** on something they haven't even seen, especially when they have no real reason to. Sure, the prequels sucked but that was because Lucas is insane. JJ did a great job with Star Trek, and I trust him. Maybe you guys should keep a bit more of an open mind until you see the film.

At least these are my opinions on this whole thing.

I know, I was just worried of what Disney will do,

Ironically, I was actually going to mention how good JJ Abrams did with Star Trek...

Revenge of the Sith is my favorite in the series......uh oh.

@Bold That sounds kinda silly even for Star Wars. It makes the force sound like some sort of puberty metaphor when it's far from it. My best guess is that the title refers to some new discovery of powers related to the force, or an attempt to try and discover what exactly it is. It's still a lackluster title that doesn't make me any more excited for the film than I already was (which I am).

And personally I felt like the Star Trek reboot handled by Abrams was decent but boring, as was Super 8. So I do have some slight concerns of the film turning out looking incredible, but ending up boring.
