Today when I woke up I had a supercomputer, But then a storm rolled by when I was playing the Sims, which led to a 10 second power outage. So when I turm it on again, it becomes basically unuseable. Everything either crashes or loads in 10 minutes. I dunno what I should do.

That could be a hardware problem, most likely. If it wasn't, the maybe the typical reinstalling windows would work. But I just don't see how a storm can in any way corrupt the contents of an HDD and not damage it physically. All it would do is turn it off like a normal power outage.

You have the warranty, right?

Back yo data, love. Before is too late!
Also, what I would do is, after backing up, format it and install my OS again. If it keeps being slow. You get a PC that's like new.

my regular dumb pc has survived some power outages.

key word here is "some".

it might be that some hardware is damaged from the outage.

Do you have a surge protector on your house? If you do, your computer should be protected from sudden changes in voltage. If you don't, I think that's your problem.

It could also be software, when most computers don't have the time to shut down, they don't store new changes or settings properly and become misplaced on start up which can cause your computer to run ridiculously slow.

hmmm, i do have a surge protector so it probably was something i was running at the time.
i'm alright now though, my computer went into a restart for repairs, and now its running normally.
