Maybe it's just in Europe that it's the only way, because Lou Studdert talked so much about it being in wave 1 in limited quantities.

They are really irritating the fans who want to really destroy this game immediately at launch. as long as it's in everyone's stocking at Christmas time, Activision won't be destroyed by the angry moms.

Could be, but then again a few months ago there were still normal elemental gates. It could be a last minute idea of having it being a timed exclusive to the dark edition to make more money.

When we're there normal elemental gates? I don't ever remember seeing regular gates. Only Traptanium gates.

I'm pretty sure it comes in all starter packs, if I'm not mistaken. I mean it would be pointless to only give those to exclusively those who paid for the Dark Starter pack. When it's the plot of the game.

You can still progress without the trap, it just goes to the villain vault. And it is confirmed for first wave single pack and a variant of it for the DSP

Well true, but you get the idea where I was going for. Like the game's focus is to trap villains and capture/trap Kaos.

Though I live in the US and can get it day one, I agree it is really unfair. That what the trap most people are the most excited to get. Especially little kids it seems. Hopefully other countries can get it soon.

They've had 3 games to get this right. If they want to know why sales numbers go down in these respective countries, you have to look no farther than this.

ah thats clever of activision. they want you to spend more money to get the kaos trap on day one (good strategy there well done activision) but i hope a single pack comes out around christmas.

MySkylanders was there too and gathered info on wave one UK, he went to Gamescon too, asked too.

Fact is: Many EUropean retailers have all figures and traps from wave 1 and 2 listed and the Kaos Trap is not one of them.

In Australia the dark is advertised the only way to play as Kaos at Launch.

There, thats my example! You spend more money on a $15 wildfire and a Dark colour and a $5 trap. Cool.


This is what acti wants, more money for things that have a lower value. They make use of peoples inpatient-ness feelings and scalmbe off money.
I'll stick with regular pack. I found a store where the regular starterpack is only €60 which is cheap. I can get €15 Wildfire and later the €6 Kaos Trap later. I save alot of money, as well as the horrible Dark Colours.

Inmy opinion, I see no use in the Dark starter unless you are a diehard collector
