I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. I despise iOS8. It ticks all the boxes for a crappy OS:

Runs worse than previous versions (to the point typing lags when it didn't before and I need to either type very slowly or correct everything I write)
Looks worse
Introduces new "shortcuts"/menus that actually get in the way of things

I feel like it was made for the iPhone because it works a lot better there (that thing actually needs all the swipe shortcuts and Safari would be squished if it used the version from older OS)

Haven't really bothered cleaning the desktop since I upgraded to the Windows 10 Technical Preview - still not exactly used to the new start bar layout, haha. Definitely a huge improvement from Windows 8.1, though.

Background is a random photo I took on one of my school excursions.
