I haven't read the book, but the movie seems worth watching.

I read The Giver in eighth grade. It was a great book, so when I found out it had a movie coming I got pretty hyped smilie
My class even did a creative writing story as to extend on the events taken place after the end of the novel. That's the one assignment I'll never forget.

The movie trailer made it seem like an action movie wtf

And I imagined Jonas as a lot younger ._.
