I was at school once, and there was a tornado at least a hundred miles away

There was a tornado in my neighborhood four years ago. It wrecked my old elementary school and a lot of houses in the neighborhood. But it only took like two shingles from our roof so yay

I once saw a tornado at the other side of the movie theaters parking lot, I was inside the theater and it was getting ever so closer to it. I had to drive past it to get home.

No. Australia doesn't really get tornadoes, and just the occasional cyclone up north.

There was a freak tornado a few blocks from me and I didn't even know about it until after it left (we don't get tornadoes around here). I don't think anybody got killed; just collateral damage.

We had a tornado drill once at school when I was in 7th grade, though one didn't hit us. I can think of two major tornadoes my state has had in the last few years, though they haven't affected me personally. My state doesn't get them often I don't think.

There was one about six miles from my house back in 2012.

In all seriousness, a tornado once tore up a neighborhood only a few miles from my house. It obliterated the power lines and we had no electricity for 4 days.


Also, in 9th grade, a tornado was literally right down the road from my school. It was in the evening, so school wasn't in session, but I was there for drama practice. We were all pretty scared, hugging and holding each other.
