Best to switch to a unplugged laptop during a storm.

Geez, my house has gotten struck like a 100 times, I mean it's one thing if it strikes my place once or twice, but a 100 times?! I mean come on!

If you don't have a surge protector AND you have exposed wires AND your house gets a direct hit from lightning... Yes.

You can see it's still a rare occurrence.
