Searching for stuff.

WC jerseys too expensive at $90 a pop (USD ofc)

Huzzah I think I found something.

Shipping from Canada. $13 shipping. Fine. Have $20 coupon.

Compare to real thing.

E is slightly shifted above other letters.

Otherwise looks practically identical. Could it be????

Ask about official tags and ****.

They said it has tags.

Ask for extra photos to verify realness.

Nothing.

After days of debate, I go ahead and buy it last night. $35 final price.

Contact seller.

Only then does he tell me that it's a "replica" (in other words fake) of "Thailand quality".

Shipping from China.

No returns accepted.

What the hell is "Thailand quality" even supposed to mean? Does Thailand make good fake jerseys? That's all Google is implying.

I would be more fine with a fake if I had the ability to return it should it turn out ****ty.

Not sure, but when buying anime stuff, usually on amazon if it says Chinese version or Thailand version, it means it's a bootleg. I'm thinking it means it's fake, but still good quality.

At least you haven't shopped on Aliexpress.com.

You can find fake toothbrushes there, for God's Sake.

I've seen a good share of fakes on eBay that seem to get close to being good enough but then have one fatal flaw to it.

I suppose I should count my blessings in that I found a fake that looked so close to the real thing (most fakes wouldn't dare have the Nike swoosh), but it becomes harder to swallow when you remember that $13 shipping bumps up the price significantly and I have no way of returning it.

Also it's wrong to say that you're shipping from Canada, and then tell me in messages you're getting it from China.

I heard of that site. Almost bought from there except it all looked so badly fake.

Yeah, I've bought from there. Had no problems with the order. Got about 25 nonworking Skylanders and 5 "prototype" Skylanders for about $90, so it was a win-win situation.

I've read lots of nasty reviews about it, though.

The seller was kind enough to send me a link with more photos.

It really does look like a convincing fake.

I don't have too much knowledge about fake jerseys, but that does look pretty cheesy.

The few bits I can find online claim that Thailand jerseys are typically the best quality fakes you can get hold of (makes sense since Nike in particular has many sweatshops in Thailand), with them holding onto or copying the real thing and then using the best materials they can to copy it.

Everywhere I've looked so far shows that Thailand quality have usually very small differences with the real thing that many people can't notice until they feel the fabric (which is also still close to real).

Still though..............$35? I shouldn't be buggered because a local store has replica Germany for $40 but still.

Update: The jersey came in today and it looks surprisingly a lot like what the actual thing looks like. Numbering, patch, Nike swoosh, and so forth.

Material feels good, though it does feel different from the real thing (from what I recall).

I don't really regret the purchase. However, on the shipping label the value is listed as $10. Did I get ripped off or did they overestimate the value of USD?

EDIT: Upon reflection, I shouldn't complain TOO much about the cost. I had an ebay coupon that took $20 off the original price (meaning I paid $22 for the jersey itself). Shipping was $15, but I shouldn't complain about that either considering how quickly it came here from China (if shipping were free it would probably take a month).
