It's actually rare for a spider to go inside a mouth as they tend to avoid humans.

I've read that you swallow about three a year, then I read somewhere else that you swallow about eight a year, so I guess it ranges around there, depending on how many spiders live in your area and how many get into your house.
My dad woke up in the middle of the night once while he was still chewing on one. He said he found a couple legs or something on his lip and the taste was very bitter and gross and he almost threw up.
I don't doubt that we eat a lot of them, since they like dark, moist areas.

you don't swallow any because spiders won't go near CO2. CO2 is concentrated around your mouth when you brethe out. So no spider swallowing.
