...wish they could change their username. Most likely because...

1. They were currently obsessed with something when they created their profile.

2. They just thought of something random on a whim.

3. They were being silly and now a couple years later regret their immature choice.

4. Were really young when they created the profile and misspelled something/ chose something childish.

5. Or have just simply grown tired of their old username and wish for something new to spice things up. Which I don't blame you!

1. Obvious Stealth Elf pun.

2. AE are the initials of my username AND Albert Einstien

3. Sexual pun. AssAssinElf

I use this only because I like my usernames to be uniform across sites
But now I've been using something else but it's good that I use more than one username for those sites you can't change your username I might remember this later.

I've had that feeling so many times with previous accounts (on other sites) I've had in the past. Not with the one I have currently, I'm pretty alright with it and probably will be for a long while assuming I come up with something better in the future.

Username is actually very important thing in various Internet communities, especially in places where commitment is usually long-term nature such as forums. It is a symbol of who you are. It is small part of one’s own identity. We are eventually compilations of everything we have gone through in our lives and therefore even the names of most “ridiculous” nature are important. If there was a time that username was chosen based on a trend one liked, it just reminds that the person has/had this part of one’s life.

But if one wants to choose rational username, one must really give it a thought. A very generic and neutral username can be used forever and that is a thing that is most desirable. That’s why I like my own username. It is useful, it is based heavily on the things that I’ve done and it is timeless until I start to actually name my projects (I hope that day will never come).

To make my point clearer without pretentious BS that I said, you picked your own username, it cannot be changed so you just have to deal with it!

I am the number 1, but I'm starting to accept it.

Thanks, and yep. I love Kingdom Hearts and the Halloweentown world.

In my case, I grew up with this username (Using the same again and again since 2006) and I still like it to this day (because of course I still like Umbreon, Pokemon in general and the number I choose is related to something about me). Plus, it does still have meanning to me, even after all those years, those things are all true still and is pure nolstalgia. My 'basic' username in places I cannot change is 'usually' this.

Mine was 1....but I like it now. Woo.

I might change mine if I could but I'm still pretty content with it.

I really love my username, it fits pretty well in my opinion. So none of the above apply to me.

Let's see...
When I started signing up for most of the sites I'm on, I used ShadowMewX. I was obsessed with Shadow the Hedgehog and Mew from Pokemon.
It's still many years later and I love the way the username sounds more than the actual characters used to make it. However, since my main obsession is arguably Kid Icarus, there's gotta be some way of putting my love for it in the username, right?

I'm starting to use ShadméTheAngel for some sites now. Shadmé is my short name for SHADowMEw, so it's pretty much saying ShadowMewTheAngel, efficiently combining all my interests.

In conclusion, I'm somewhat in the middle. I like it, but if there were an option to change I would probably do it. My reason of choice for changing it would be closest to option 1.
