While I do wish they were closer to the books, I like them for what they are. At least Percy Jackson as a movie.

the characters were like 5 years older than they were supposed to be, and had very little development and the action scenes were poorly executed and edited

and thats only a few problems

All of that is true. For the first movie, it's so inaccurate, I forget I'm watching a Percy Jackson movie. I think that's why I like it. I think the second one is much better and seems to capture the spirit of the book a lot better than the first.

I despised the first one because of all the inaccuracies, and I didn't like the second because of poor filming and weak acting. Some scenes were lit terribly. Though it was considerably better than the first.

The first one is alright, though cliche.

Then again I never read the books.

I liked the first one. I kinda just played it off as "movie versions are always worse"

SPOILERS IN TEH SPOILERS
He faced Kronos in the second. That inaccuracy is unforgivable. The battle scenes weren't that good and the actors were weak.

Ugh. Horrible. They removed all the good scenes, added ones that shouldn't be there (When exactly dd the fight Luke or the Hydra in the first book?), portrayed Hades wrong (imo he should be dark not fiery), the camp looked like ****, just like the Olympus thrones, (they were all the same! NO!). Etc. etc.
