Just updated. New building available Windmill for 700 gems 12h collect for 5000 Xp & 1200 gold iirc.
Also toy link quests for Nitro FB and Pop Thorn for 175 gems reward I think (could be wrong about amounts and which skylanders are involved though cos they both skipped through quickly when I wasn't paying attention!)

And the first Windmill quest :

Collect 5 gears, 5 bricks and 5 pipe stacks, all from the windmill which pays out every 12 hrs.

That's quite a long task at a cost of 700 gems per windmill!

So just over a week for an air sculpture if you get 1 per collection!

Not much return for 700 gems if there's not another quest.

Not so excited about a new building that costs gems. Hopefully, they'll have them in the well, like the B&Bs.

I'm hoping so for my son. I'm in the lucky place of being maxed out on most things in this game. My boy plays infrequently and misses most timed quests. He's playing on android so is late to the party.

I'm just happy to have new quests tbh! If they take a week then so be it cos I need something to keep me playing. Got 141 skylanders at level 15 now so am only playing for timed quests or quests that need elusive those trees or trolls!

bah... there is a limit of 15 total windmills you can purchase. :-\

Bummer. I was gonna replace all my fisheries with them. Less space (2x2 vs 3x2) and more XP (5000 vs 2850) in less time (12hr vs 14 hr).

oh well.

You had 10500 gems lying around to be able to immediately buy 15 windmills?! Wow. I believe I would completely lose interest in the game if I had that many gems just waiting to be spent.

Yea... I got a lot of them still from my old "original" iPad days. I have been conserving them for special buys like this that advance my Kingdom XP gathering abilities. You can friend me and check out my islands if you want. ;-)

I had almost 13,000 gems when I bought my windmill. I only bought one. I'm at the point in the game where I earn maybe 1000 gems a week... give or take a few days.

I have over 350,000,000 gold and over 10,000,000 energy. The game definitely is not as exciting once you get to those levels, but still worth playing.

Even though I hate spending gems on mabu or community buildings, I will admit that the windmill does seem to have a decent kingdom xp payout. Normally, I wouldn't mind, as why would I get in a hurry, but the last levels are painstakingly slow. I wonder how much they jump your percentage? For those who've bought a few, have you seen a significant change? Do we know an estimated amount it takes for each level? I know people have talked about it before, but I didn't pay close attention.

After a few weeks, it really had seemed that my xp production had went up quite a bit since getting the windmill. So much so that I broke down and bought another one, surrounding it with sheep topiaries for even more xp.

It seems a bit sad that you are at such a high level that its the kingdom XP goodies that you find most exciting .

If they came with better xp then who am I to refuse. I just aim to have at least one of everything out there. I am a collector. And I am in no hurry.

Is it possible to collect everything ? This game will keep on making new content buildings indefinitely but space is limited .

They may also create even more islands or do things like make smaller sanctums to give us more space. More space = more spending...

Space is not an issue. I think it's a matter of how you arrange them in your island. Besides we already witness devs shrinking sanctums and adding isles. Who knows what could be next? Anything is possible, and I find that exciting. Plus with the new content/building/alter ego that they keep adding, having them in your collection is most exciting to me.
