Leave it to DreamWorks to make another film in the series right after the END of the film series.

It's one thing to make sequels to a franchise that has the potential, like Dragons and Kung Fu Panda. But the Shrek series is over. Shrek and Shrek 2 were excellent, but Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After were horrible and bad, respectively. There's nothing left for them to do after claiming to have released the 'final chapter', releasing tv specials, a Broadway musical, a spin-off film, and theme park attractions and even its own park.

The series is just about over. And it's going to make money regardless of whether or not it gets another film, so there's no point in another film. Just let the series rest before it has to leave on a really, really low point.

Who knows? Maybe this one will be a lot better ^.~

Shrek was the highlight of my early childhood. I'll definitely see this one.

I didnt like the forth one much, the others were fine.

The first two were excellent. 3rd was OK-good, though pretty unmemorable (I have literally never heard anyone explain why it's horrible, it's is if people say it is to be cool - it was unspectacular and unnecessary, but it was far from a terrible film). Have not seen the fourth and have no real plans to.

I'm pretty indifferent to the decision.

I liked the third one, not much for the forth.

The third one is the only one I consider "bad" imo. It wasn't terrible.

They left the story line open with the baby ogres and dronkeys.

Another layer to add to the Shrek collection.

And I don't think it'll be a good one.

Why....? Shrek was one of those movies that was ok with one movie and any sequels just seemed less necessary than the last one. This has the reached the point where any sequel made won't be good at all and will just be getting made in hopes of making money from fans of the original.
