That's actually really creative. Looks like it's 4th of July to get Surfer Slam Bam for me now. Hope they have the event then.

Just got him. He's probably my favourite alter ego so far. I also won two B+Bs and an Air Ship.

For some reason, all I'm getting is Surfer Slam Bam in the well.

I got Buttered Pop Thorn after 106 stones. Other than that, I got 3 x 100,000 & a fishery. Strange thing is that I got 100,000 right after a fishery, so it's possible to get a top prize back-to-back. Some may already know that, but I had wondered if they had some code that kept that from happening. I'm sure the chances are still slim.

25 stones. First quest is clear five troll mobs, capture 12 trolls and go to Troll Warehouse three times.

71 stones - 2 cocoa stands and fluff before getting him

It seemed to take a *lot* of stones this time. I'd didn't count how many but I got up to the top tier of the lucky meter. Not that it matters since I have so many wishstones

He looks really cool, anyway.

Took me close to 200 stones - 1 cocoa stand, 1 tavern, 1 top gold.

With my abundance of wish stones, I actually want it to take more so I'll have more of a chance to get B&Bs. I'd like to replace a bunch of my old mabu houses with those. I know I can keep trying for them, but I don't feel like throwing my stones in unless I'm going for a grand prize. At least if there's a grand prize, I feel like I'm working towards something, and the rest is just free stuff on the way. Without a grand prize, I feel like I'm just throwing stones in for nothing, especially as I'm not ever guaranteed a top prize (or, at least, the one I want).

The amount of stones varies, but in almost every case it has taken me until after reaching the top tick mark (not completely full) before I win the alter ego. Only once did I get lucky early. This time I got him on the first spin after reaching that tick.

I also do not mind it taking that many, as mentioned it is more chances to get B&B and some other stuff. It does feel pointless if you aren't trying to get something when doing it. It's similar when they put the old ones into the well for an event. I get to burn a ton of stones under the reason that I'm aiming to get one of them, and the other stuff is a pleasant bonus. It's all psychological, of course - I just get the feeling that if I blow them normally, something might get added later I need - and I can justify it by saying "oh well, I was working to get an alter ego".

I'm with you. I've found the odds of winning other "good" prizes like B&Bs and Taverns goes way down after the alter ego is won and the luck meter is reset, so I rarely bother.

If this one is new, what was the alt-ego from last year? I expected them to either have the old one for sale, in the well as a top-prize, or both. Perhaps they will, later on this month.

1: They have nothing to do with the months that they are released on.

2: I liked the old ones better.

I would say that Buttered Pop Thorn makes sense as summer (in the US) is a big time for blockbuster movies. I will say that he is my favorite, though. I'd like to have him if only as a non-working figure. It gave me the thought that they could release smaller, collectible, non-working figures just for the fun of it, but I'm sure they don't want any confusion or for them to take away from the in-game figures.

I think they'd sell and, if packaged correctly, there would be no confusion. I know that when our local McDonald's had Skylander toys, people flocked there - just for the toys - and there was no expectations that they were anything but non-working figures. In fact most kids were happy that they were just figures - you could physically battle with them and not worry about breaking a game component.
