I actually just hit level 42 this morning, so was able to take advantage of this for Troll island. But by this point in the game, gold is overly plentiful, so it's more a small thrill at being able to take advantage of the special than actually caring about the cost reduction.

I should be able to get Troll Island by the end of the day. The gold doesn't really matter much to me at this point, but any small victory is a little more enjoyment.

Small rueful smile when at midnight the half price island unlocking ended... I was at 99.3 per cent.

Offer came up 11 hours too late as just made the purchase:-/
Fortunately gold not a major issue, more annoyed with lack of Trolls and over abundance of wishing stone towers.
