For centuries the world has been inhabited by 'Outcasts', people who were born with awesome powers, however they are dubbed as 'freaks' by everyone who disapproves of their abilities. These Outcasts have been ridiculed and made fun of for centuries, they were tortured and experimented on aswell as exiled from their homes due to their differences from the majority of the world.
But in the early 16th century a camp was built, a monstrous camp that could fit thousands of Outcasts. It was built by a man known as Deidicus Blair, he created the camp as a safe harbor for all Outcasts to live in peace and happiness, Somewhere the Outcasts could go and get an education and learn to control their abilities, a place they could work and live and find joy away from the judging grasp of the outside world. However the new leader of the camp, a mysterious man shrouded in darkness seems to have many secrets.
It's the last few days of Summer vacation and the younger members are trying to fit all the fun in the sun they can before their training lessons start up again.
Rules: No Godmodding
Keep it PG-13
Be descriptive to the best of your ability, as in try to write more than a sentence for each post.
I'll say there's no max on characters but don't go crazy
Try not to have the same powers as someone else, diversify
These are young members so try to keep your age under 25
Remember, this takes place in the real world, albeit somewhat more technologically advance, so be somewhat realistic
This is my fault for not putting a Weakness tab in the Character Sheet, but try not to make your character too OP, try to list a weakness or two.
Try to roleplay in third person, it just makes it easier for everyone else to follow
If you have any major ideas for this roleplay send me a message
HAVE FUN!
Character Sheet:
Name:
Age:
Personality:
Appearance:
History:
Powers:
-----
Name: Shane Digby Blair, though his friends call him Digby.
Age: 20
Personality: Digby can be a bit of a jerk, though not because he's a bully but more because he speaks his mind and a lot of filters others would have he doesn't, that's not to say he's rude, he's actually quite kind to people he feels might need some help. Digby is quite the troublemaker, often interrupting lessons to make a joke, though he most certainly isn't lazy as he always does his best in every field possible, though usually at his own pace. Digby can be seen as having a leader aspect to him, he's not afraid of marching into dangerous territory and he makes sure everyone feels safe. Decisive and sure of himself.
Appearance: Digby wears a gray t-shirt and an unzipped red leather jacket over top. he wears blue jeans and black slip-ons. All of his clothes are made specially to form along with his body when he changes so as not to leave him naked when he changes back. Digby has spiked brown hair and brown eyes, he stands at 5 foot 11 and is Caucasian with a slight tan. He carries white sunglasses with him inside of his jacket pocket.
History: Digby is the great, great, great, great, great...You get it, grandson of Deidicus Blair, he doesn't have much of a history as he didn't come to the camp like many others did, instead he was born there. The teachers at the camp never really cared for him despite his relation to the founder. He isn't exactly fond of running the camp like his ancestors. He never knew his parents.
Powers: Shane is a Shapeshifter, albeit an inexperienced one, he hadn't gained his powers up until a few years ago and he still can't make full transformations. Even so shifting takes a lot out of Digby and can cause him to crash if he tries too many transformations, hence his trying to further his stamina in training.

Name: Aileen Olan
Age: 19 Personality: She's a calm, collected individual. She's open-minded and wants others to speak freely and have a chance to voice their opinions. She tries to help people with their problems, but her monotone, matter-of-fact way of talking often puts people off. Appearance: Very tall, at a staggering eight feet, and very skinny. Most clothes that fit her are too baggy and too short for her, and often has to have clothes tailored to fit her. She likes wearing simple, monotone t-shirts, flip-flops and khakis. Her hair is short, straight, and a very dark brown, nearly black. Her eyes and skin tone are also very dark. History: Aileen was born and raised in the camp by her parents. She has two younger sisters, and grew up alongside Digby, who she's now good friends with. Powers: Her body has an uncanny relation with light. It naturally grew upwards toward the sun as she aged, which made her body as abnormally tall as it is now. Her eyes and visual processing are superior to normal humans', and can see in clear detail from miles away (and her great height helps with that), even working as a living telescope and being able to look into space. Looking directly into the sun doesn't harm her. She can see in more frequencies of light than the "visual spectrum". She can see clearly in the dark and at night, and if underground or otherwise away from light, she can somehow "sense" where a nearby source may be, like a plant would. However, because of her abnormal growth, her bones are weak and frail, and she can be toppled over and injured easily. It's not fun having to bump into doorways and ceilings all the time, either. She can't photosynthesize, but somehow being in pitch darkness for long periods of time make her weak. She has to have at least a night light on when sleeping or she won't get any rest, especially if it's new moon out. |

Name: Viridium "Quake"
Age: 22 Personality: Normally calm and collected, Quake is a caretaker of all, he won't let harm come to those he allies himself with, or anyone innocent in his mind, if harm would ever come to someone he cared about he would consider himself responsible and never let that go. Quake is humble, never wanting to overestimate his abilities in fear of losing his kindness for a large ego. Though calm and kind Quake will argue for everything he believes in, letting anger get to his head if those around him are too stubborn to know what to do. Being raised by women makes him incredibly prone to violent outbursts if ever a female is in harms way. He does not care for being called by his real name. If not careful his anger will control him. Quake also has a silly side, however he rarely has ever shown it due to his serious upbringing. Appearance: Quake stands at six foot five and 300 pounds, though he is not even slightly overweight, instead the weight coming from his armor and muscles, without his armor he weighs about 160 and has a slightly bulky build which doesn't really correlate to his true strength. His armor is like a Knight's, but if it were created in a modern day society, it's made of a strange, resilient and incredibly strong metal. The armor is stained brown, with accents of green and gold, his visor is retractable. Quake carries two Double Edged Long Sword's in hilts on his back, aswell as two short orange swirl-patterned Battle Axe at his sides attached to straps on his back and a large metal heater shield with markings reminiscent to that of a Hylian Shield. When not in his armor Quake wears a long-sleeve green shirt, and a beige long-sleeve denim overcoat with a popped collar, he wears tight blue jeans and brown hiking boots. He wears a scar across his left eye. History: Quake was raised on a small farm far from the Camp, though at this time he was known only as Viridium and he was weak and skin and bones at the time. He was the adopted son of two married women who obviously couldn't have a child of their own, he was adopted along with two other girls, Samantha and Tabitha, he was the eldest and would always be incredibly protective over them, whether it be boys or dangerous activities or whatever. Quake was a quiet child and would tend to the animals and crops, it soothed him and he felt a bond to the animals. One day one of the girls came home in tears, crying to the other sister about her boyfriend abusing her, Quake had overheard and a boiling rage grew inside him, he knew where the boy lived and without hesitation he made his way over to his residence, fueled with a burning and uncontrollable fire inside of him he took the boy in his seemingly weak hands, grabbing him by the collar and lifting him far above his head, the rage inside him continuing to build, he threw the boy against the wall, causing it to break, it was then he saw the horror in the boys eyes and he left, running home as tears strolled down his face, every step he took the ground shaking. He expressed what had happened to his family and they were shocked, though they accepted him for who he was, Quake knew that those with powers were sought out and killed. That night he ran away, leaving a note saying he'd come back one day. Quake eventually met up with a mysterious man who taught him how to harness his powers and control his anger, he gave him a suit of armor which made it impossible to move but after months of training he learned to carry it like a feather. One morning he awoke to find the man gone and the sound of sirens, he ran as far as he could til he stumbled upon the camp, a place only visible by the eyes of those with abilities or those welcomed in by higher authorities. Powers: Quake has the ability of Terrakinesis, he can control the earth and much that comes from it such as metals. He aswell possesses incredible strength and stamina. He is also a skilled Swordsman and fighter. His main weakness is when he believes he isn't good enough, letting someone down, when someone is in trouble, if a female is being attacked he'll take extra caution due to his upbringing. His weapon of choice is a large green battle hammer that he keeps only for special occasions Name: Jarvin "Jet" Justupin Age: 18 Personality: Jarvin is brash, thinking himself better than most and that his time is precious, he cares very little for others though will put on an act for those that he needs something frown. He's hotheaded and has an incredible temper though he's not as strong as he thinks and that's often what causes his downfalls. He never knows when to quit and will go after anything he sets his mind on. Appearance: When Jet isn't shirtless he wears a tight dark grey swim shirt, though it's hard for there to be a time where he is wearing a shirt. which dries incredibly fast in the sun, he also wears pitch black swimming trunks made of the same material and flipper looking shoes that cover his odd paws. A Shark tooth necklace is always around his neck. His hair is jet black and forms back to make a sort of fin looking shape. Jet has Razor sharp teeth and his eyes are small black slits instead of rounded irises. Jet has sharp retractable claws that form from his nails. Instead of feet he has grey webbed paw-like things. Coming out of the back of his clothes is a grey fin. He also contains gills on his neck and stands at a mere 5 foot 7 History: Jet was orphaned, being taken across the sea on a boat to an island where children were bought as workers. During a fierce storm Jet was able to make his way to the top deck, though he was surrounded by the ship's crew, his only option being to jump, and so he did. Left for dead, the waves crashing and the lightning striking in the distance, high winds caused high tides and Jet sunk to the bottom of the ocean. When he awoke he was on a beach, surrounded by large beams that surrounded the entire area, he had been hauled to the Camp, though for what reason it was unclear to him, he had been told by the Camp's Leader that he had been found and brought by a scouter from the Camp. He went into a rage insisting he wasn't a freak though when he saw his reflection he noticed the change, his skin was grayer, the fin protruding from his back, his razor sharp fangs. He decided to learn about his abilities so one day he could take revenge on those that took him. Powers: Jet has the ability to swim at about 70MPH underwater, an incredibly impressive feat, though on land he's incredibly impaired due to his webbed, clawed feet. Jet's sense of smell is heightened and he is able to breathe underwater aswell as on land. He has a huge appetite and an incredibly fast metabolism which means he can't go long without food or he'll be with little to no stamina. Plus he can devour most materials with his razor sharp fangs.

Name: Michael Foster
Age: 17 Personality: Michael is mostly an introverted person, though some aspects of him contradict this. He doesn’t express much emotion, his face usually having a solemn, serious expression. While he doesn’t like being around a lot of people, his greatest fear is being left alone. Thus, he tends to stay near someone else, and when he’s on his own, it’s in the Camp where he knows there are other people in the vicinity. Perhaps the most significant aspect of Michael’s personality is his silence. He is an elective mute, meaning that he never talks because he chooses not to. This makes things awkward when someone’s trying to have a conversation with him, but most people who know Michael have learned to have sort of “one sided conversations”. He will listen and acknowledge people who are talking to him, but he will never respond verbally. Appearance: Michael has a pale complexion, as he tends to stay indoors. His eyes are a pale blue while his hair is scruffy and black. He stands at about 5”10 and is a bit skinny in form. As for his apparel, he wears khakis and a black turtleneck with a tan trench coat over top of that. He also tends to wear a black scarf and gloves, regardless of what the weather is like. History: This will be revealed throughout the roleplay. I will say this, however: He doesn’t speak for a reason. Powers: Michael is an empath. He can feel others’ emotions as if they are his own, and can sometimes pick up on people’s intentions.

You caught my interest....I think I'll give role play another try.
Name: Nocto Ombre Age: 15 Personality: Nocto is a shady nervous person he can be nice and kind hearted yet he's also creepy and dark he not the full on silent type but avoids others to "save himself and them" he does not care much for himself and more for others making him quite suicidale. He's passionate about engineering yet locks himself in his own room to preform experiments and creates gadgets and what not he does just cause he feels so useless in the camp compared to everyone else and he wants to contribute and help them yet how he does you can say it's really strange. Appearance: A person like Nocto wants to stay covered up and stay under the radar Nocto is 5,4 wears a fabricated black and silver gas mask that cover his whole face he designed it also so that he can apply night vision goggles to the eye socket area the only know things about his facial area is that he apparently has blue eyes and black hair it's hard to tell cause you never seem the damn mask come off really. He also wears a dark grey jeans and long sleeves jacket, a black vest over the jacket, black knuckle duster gloves and boots. Nocto takes his appearance mostly from the noir genre. History: The whole story of Nocto coming to the camp was tracking him down to a lonly auto repair shop on the outskirts of a city by some mercenaries and a whole chase through the city night he suddenly faint during the whole the chase but instead he got lucky and winded up in the camp he was not really on bored with the idea though and it only caused panic with him he even now he still uncertain if he should leave or stay he does not have a oath to follow. Nocto just started his life living in a auto repair shop not in any use what happened before is unclear but he was abandon to guess. He Lived off of scavenging city scraps of food and material during the night and even though he had his ability and brain Noctom refrain from using any of it to sacavnge even onced he discovered it instead he tried to use it on any thugs crossing the line of law it took time to rise up to the challenge but something in him forced him to do what little he could to contribute to people with his brain and power. But now that he's in camp Nocto finds it difficult to adjust to everything and struggles to get through this place....but he does get a better place for engineering.....but he really hopes sometime soon he can escape the camp and not get dragged back Powers Nocto posses intangible to avoid any physical contact and harm that could even touch him it instead just phases through him this is combine with his more stealthy smart approach to situations using the shadows and environment for simple takedowns on his opponents his gadgets that he makes can also play an advantage sometimes for him or his allies like his night vision googles. On thing that hinders Nocto is that he has poor health that affects him physical and mentally and in a large amount of pain he refuses to get check up so it carries on a lot. Well I hope this is allowed to qualify...

My only suggestion is play light on the suicidal thing, I don't want it to get too dark, but other than that you're accepted. Lemme just clarify, so he can change his form from solid to a sort of thing where physical objects go through him?
Also just a clarification for those wondering, the Camp isn't like a prison, it's a safe haven that welcomes Outcasts and the only reason others can't find it is because it's invisible to those who hold no powers. If someone wants to leave the camp it's up to them but the outside world is incredibly dangerous, surely this will be a plot point in the future. Alright well I'm hoping we can get one more to join but if not we'll start tomorrow~

I'll play it lightly for sure. intangible in this case is the form or state of not being able to use the sense of any touch or have contact with any physical matter in said form yet can been seen and smelled for example. And as for camp stuff let me change something..... Out thanks Lunarz!

ooc: I might add another character later.
Name: Vianne, Lygon (likes to be called Vi) Age: 20 Personality: She is the social and friendly type. She's nice to everyone she meets and likes to help people. She wants to be there for others, even total strangers, but can be rather hard on herself when she fails to help someone or makes matters worse. She's a bit scatterbrained and forgetful, and can be quite a klutz at times. She also tends to like cheering people up with bad jokes and bad puns. Appearance: She has short, chin-length dark brown hair that is all scruffy and messy, with long bangs that come down over her brown eyes. She has tan skin, and is about 5'2 in height. She has a petite, almost child-like figure, barely even looking like a teenager. She is rather skinny, and she appears flat-chested. She normally wears a simple t-shirt, and isn't picky about the color, but green is most common. She also wears blue jeans or denim shorts, with white tennis shoes. History: Vi grew up outside the camp, but never stayed in one town for very long. Her family was always moving around, trying to avoid getting exposed. Usually, Vi would accidentally get caught using her powers, and her mother would use her telepathy to alter people's memories and make them forget about the event. Then she'd insist that the family move just in case she missed something. Vi didn't like having to constantly move around, as she wanted a permanent home. She also hated having to hide her powers, which often led to arguments with her mother. Her mother would purposely force her to live in cities, which she hated, in an attempt to keep her away from nature. Without a reliable nature source, Vi's powers were limited, which is what her mother wanted, but it made Vi miserable. Her father would always try to cheer her up by taking her on camping trips away from people, so that Vi could have fun and freely use her powers. However, her mother hated the trips, because she was afraid of Vi getting caught. She forbid them to go on any more, but when they tried to argue that it was fun and harmless, she used her telepathy to make them forget about the trips completely. When Vi turned 18, she had enough of living with her parents and set out on her own. She took nothing more than a backpack of necessities and just ran away. Vi hoped of one day finding the Outcast Camp. She had heard many nice stories about it from her dad and she had always wanted to see it for herself. Just recently, she moved in, and is still getting used to the place. Powers: She has the ability to mimic any form of matter or energy with physical contact. She can duplicate the properties of anything she touches, gas, liquid, solid, even energy sources. This transformation also extends to her clothing and anything she might be carrying, like a backpack, which is specially made for her. So if she absorbed the properties of water, her whole body, and even her clothes, would become water. Then she has all the abilities of water, until she deactivates her power. She can also camouflage with the matter she absorbs, becoming effectively invisible. She can not absorb a new matter until she has deactivated her powers from the previous matter she absorbed.

ooc: Thanks. I just thought of what I want to do for another character.
Name: Kayla Arterbury Age: 18 Personality: While normally very quiet, Kayla is actually quite friendly and enjoys talking to people. You'll rarely see her initiate a conversation as she is an introvert by nature, but she'll happily talk to anyone who approaches her. Her responses may be short, but she generally tries to be polite. While she likes to help others, she won't go out of her way to do so, as she worries she'll only be bothering them and she likes to give people their space. She can be shy or nervous around strangers sometimes, but she still tries to be polite because she hates being rude. Appearance: She's about 5'6 and chubby with a rounded out figure. She has pale skin and sapphire blue eyes. Her hair is shoulder-length and wavy, with bangs that cover her forehead. While normally strawberry blonde, she recently started dyeing her hair a deep violet. She tends to wear big, baggy, loose-fitting clothes, which also often have paint stains on them. She commonly wears an eggplant purple hoodie with a t-shirt underneath, and a pair of blue jeans that are so covered in paint stains that they're hardly blue anymore. She also wears a pair of clogs that are nearly covered in paint spots. History: Kayla was born and raised in the camp. She was always sort of quiet and kept to herself. She hardly ever seemed to socialize with anyone and didn't appear to have any friends. Despite never really initiating conversation, she would politely give simple responses to anyone who talked to her. This kept her on decent terms with most people, but didn't really earn her any close friends. Over the years, she has always spent most of her time drawing. For a long time, she never showed any signs of having powers and people started to believe that she had none. On her 16th birthday, her parents got her a tablet so she could create art on a computer instead of always using paper. She was so excited to try it out that she spent the whole day in her room. She drew a fantasy creature solely from her imagination and had a blast creating it. When she was finished and content with her work, for a moment, she wished it were real. She was surprised when it magically appeared before her. She was so startled that she actually yelped and fell out of her chair. The noise attracted the attention of her parents, who came rushing to the room to see what was wrong. When the situation was explained to them, they wondered if this was her power. To test it, they asked her to destroy the drawing. She didn't want to, but she wanted to know how this happened, and also wasn't sure if she actually wanted a strange creature in her room anymore. So she destroyed it, and the creature disappeared. They were sure then that this had to be her power, and while she's been practicing it ever since, she hasn't made a lot of progress. Powers: She is an artist who has the ability to bring her drawings to life. If she concentrates on her drawing and wishes it to be real, then it will magically appear before her. The drawing isn't real, though, and is more so a solid illusion. She can only create a temporary illusion of something, not alter anything already existing in reality. She can only alter her drawing, which would then alter the illusion. She currently has no ability to actually control the illusion, only what it looks like. She doesn't actually need to draw the illusion for her power to work, she just draws it to see it better, and give herself something to focus on to make it easier to bring it to life. She doesn't know how to do this without drawing it first yet. If there are any imperfections in the drawing, they will show up in the illusion. If she drew a tiger and didn't get the proportions right, they would still be wrong when it comes to life. If the drawing is destroyed, then so is the illusion.

//Accepted. Everyone can start now!//
It was a beautiful summer day, the sky was a beautiful sapphire, sunlight shone through a big white puffy cloud that was drifting in the wind. Children played and adults relaxed, some lying on the beach, others sleeping in their beds. The days were long but seemed so short as training came close, but Summer wasn't over yet and some of the Camp members were making the most out of it. One of those members was Shane, or Digby for those that knew him. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP "Mrr..." Digby moaned, trying to make the noise go away by hiding his head under his blanket. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP This time he hid under the pillow. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP A giant Gorilla fist came smashing down on the alarm clock, smashing it to pieces. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP "FINE!" Digby threw off the covers. "I'll get up!" The alarm conveniently stopped beeping. Digby made his way to his closet, collecting all the clothes he wanted to wear, of course it was pretty much always the same thing, he had a comical amount of grey t-shirts. After he had gotten dressed Digby made his way to a large wall mirror, he eyed himself up and down, fixing his messy hair as much as he could before staring his reflection straight in the eye. "Today's the day, you got this, Champ." Digby resided in a tiny log cabin, it had all he really needed, a small bedroom where he kept his computer and all his clothes plus a minifridge as his nightstand, he also had a couple guitars in the corner and a few glass cabinets with action figures and some comic books, a corner kitchen with a microwave, oven, fridge, dishwasher, and toaster, next to it was a dining table, the main entrance which had a brown leather pull out couch and a medium sized television aswell as a recliner and a bean bag chair snuggled into a small comfortable space, he also had a bathroom with a tub that also functioned as a shower, toiler, and a sink, in a separate closet he had a washer and dryer on top of each other. Every member of the camp had a log cabin, those who lived on their own had smaller models, like Digby, his was probably just a bit bigger than a regular apartment, but it was snug, and for those who had roommates there was an extra bedroom, families got larger cabins. People still had to work jobs for money and to buy things but the cabins were free, aswell as bicycle's for transportation, and everyone got two hundred dollars a month for groceries and whatnot. Digby left the cabin, normally he'd take his bike but where he was going it was only a few cabins down, Digby's cabin wasn't on a road, it was in the middle of a field, which Digby liked, he enjoyed the somewhat isolation as he liked being by himself, though he wasn't so far from people that it scared him. After walking about four minutes Digby happened upon another small cabin, like his, though aesthetically a bit different. It was the home of Aileen, Digby's childhood best friend. It was true Digby enjoyed isolation but he also enjoy the company of Aileen, she made him feel content, Digby didn't really have many other friends as he never really bothered to make any, he had a few admires and acquaintances due to his role as a class clown but other than that he was happy with just Aileen. He didn't bother knocking and walked straight in, something which he should of thought of doing considering he was walking into a females cabin at nine in the morning, but he was so used to coming over that he didn't think to do so. ----- Elsewhere, in a different part of the Camp a young boy was splashing in the water, his yellow arm floaties flying back at forth as he called for his mom. Around the boy, the water rippled, something was underneath, much bigger than the regular tiny fish that would sometimes swim close to the shore, much bigger. The boy started to rock up and down as the waves grew stronger, his legs kicking back and forth. Just then, a grey fin popped out of the ocean and started to circle the child, it started to emerge from behind him, razor sharp jaws opened up to devour it's prey, and then! "JET!" A voice called out from the shore. "Stop scaring the kids!" The man was dressed in a black suit, which was odd considering the hot weather, it was obvious he worked for the Camp. Certain members of the Camp were to be watched, for workers of the Camp to keep tabs on, and Jet was one of them. "Thanks, suit, you really know how to have some fun." The shark-like boy snarled and then dived down into the water, swimming down a fair while until he reached a tube. He swam down the tube, travelling forward for a bit until he swam up and emerged from a hole in what looked like the interior of a cabin, except this one was filled with water up to his knees, the exit was surrounded by a waist length barrier to prevent water from leaking outside. Jet grumbled, ripping off his bathing clothes as he made his way to his bedroom to get dressed for the day. "Damn suits." Once Jet was finished he jumped the barrier and made his way outside, he headed towards the market, something he did every few days considering he was almost always out of food due to his appetite, he craved meat, something which his transformation caused.

If anyone had walked in his cabin at that particular moment, they probably wouldn’t have even seen its resident at first glance. A closer look, however, would have revealed a messy mop of hair peeking just out from under the covers, for the head and body it was attached to were almost completely hidden under the blankets. Aside from his hair sticking out, Michael looked far more like a lump in the bed than a sleeping person, what with his tendency to completely cocoon himself in the blankets and curl up in what was nearly a ball, like a hedgehog.
It was proven not to be a lump in the bed, however, and instead an actual living, breathing person as a tired grumble came from under the covers and that mop of hair was buried beneath the blankets along with the body it was attached to. Michael was not a morning person, by any means. Given the opportunity, he’d probably rather sleep all day and stay up all night as his routine schedule. Unfortunately for him, even an institution as remote from the rest of society and as strange compared to the outside world like the Outcast Camp had standards. Their sanctuary was like a little civilization all by itself, and like any society, some semblance of order must be upheld. And so, for this reason, his unique home was just as ordinary in that there was a need to get up in the morning, however inconvenient it seemed to him. He hadn’t set an alarm, and probably would have woken up much later if he were a normal individual. But Michael was most certainly not a normal individual, and so he woke up now because he possessed a sort of different alarm clock that got him up in the morning every day. As everyone else within the camp awoke from their slumber, their minds became active again. They immediately converted from an uneventful state of unconsciousness into a buzzing, active state of mind. With the external stimuli that came with waking and returning to the physical world from the dream world, their experiences – their feelings – went from static to lively. Their happiness at greeting the morning – or grumpiness from being disturbed from peaceful sleep – poked and prodded at the young empath’s mind until he too finally awoke from his slumber. Some mornings – like this morning – he would try to drown out the emotions he was picking up, similar to anyone else trying to block out the noise of their alarm clock, but just like trying to ignore the blaring sound of an alarm, the intruding sense of wakefulness that he was picking up from others was too much to simply disregard. Resigning to his fate with a small sigh, Michael poked his head out of the covers before reluctantly dragging himself completely out of bed. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he now ran on auto-pilot for a little while as he ate his breakfast and got ready for the day. He wasn’t entirely sure just what he was going to be doing today. Part of him wanted to just stay inside his humble little cabin, for surely it would be bustling with activity outside, what with it being one of the last days of their summer vacation. Still, another part of him wanted to enjoy the warmer weather while it lasted. Decided, the empath shrugged on his coat before tugging on his gloves and wrapping his scarf meticulously around his neck a certain way, then headed out the door with a book in hand. Reading could be done just as easily inside as outside, but he decided that he’d enjoy the warmth of the summer sun while it lasted.

Jet mumbled to himself as he made his way out of his house and towards the path that led to the market. His stomach was roaring and snarling, craving delicious meat, fresh, not cooked, bloody. Jet shook his head. He despised being the way he was, a freak, a freak who ate fresh bloody meat and had to live in a ****ing fish tank, how dare this happen to him. If Jet didn't keep his hunger in check he'd go mental and become dangerous to anyone around him, his primal and carnal instincts would take over and he'd most certainly attack someone and try to devour them, especially if he could smell their blood.
As the boy daydreamed about succulent meat, sizzling in a pan, in between two buns, on a rack, from a fresh animal, or from a cooked one, he had sort of lost control of where he was walking and had bumped into a boy, Michael. Jet tumbled and fell to the grassy ground beneath him, getting a mouth full of dirt which he promptly spat out. Once the boy got back onto his feet his eyes shrunk and he barred his fangs. "Hey, pint-size, why do you watch just where the **** you're walking huh? You might bump into the wrong person!" He snarled, eyeing the boy up and down, he looked delicious...He'd taste amazing with some barbecue sauce, maybe baked into a cake or...Or roasted over an open fire. Jet shook his head once again. "Hey, freak!" He snapped at the boy, quite ironically. "Why don't you apologize and maybe I'll let you off easy, or what, did I scare you so bad you wet your pants and you're too scared to speak? Ahahaha!" He still got no respond. "SPEAK!"

"Huh what gah." Nocto looked at his surroundings in panic clutching his chest, panting mad crazy, and looking around his surroundings before calming downed realizing he's back in reality for Nocto sleep can be problematic he has trouble trying to force himself to sleep or stay awake and he always wakes up at the wrong time it's some times seems to never be in his favour. He looked at the table he fell alseep on....no damage done to his night project project oh relif now to check something else more important.
Getting out of his chair he quickly work his way out of his "Mechanic Room" mumbling to himself nervously and right out to the front he looked straight up at the sky...blue sky bright morning light woke up at the right time today he then proceeded to stare out to the endless waves of the beach. Nocto lives on the outskirts of the camp and near the beach kinda like his old home it's not as big but gets the requirements met and allows it to become his own mechanic shop plus it keeps him unotice he needs it for the morning he tries to to be a complete mess of a person and his joke but refuses to let people see what he does. He takes once glance at his home mumbles something to himself and his morning schedular beings.

Not even having found a suitable spot to sit and read, Michael's nose was already in his book even as he walked away from his cabin and out into the sunlight. It probably wasn't the best habit of his to have, something that was continuously pointed out to him by other people. He always dismissed their remarks, however. Somehow with his attention focused solely on the print within whatever book he held at the time, he still managed to be aware of his surroundings to a certain degree. Granted, he didn't walk very fast when he was reading, but he always managed to keep from bumping into things or loosing his footing on an uneven floor.
As his eyes scanned the words within the book, he started to feel a sense of agitation slowly coming over him. There were times when Michael couldn't differentiate his own emotions from those of others' invading his mind, but with nothing having happened to him to make him feel this way, he knew that this had to be another person's feelings he was experiencing. His normally hunched posture shrunk down even further as he quickened his pace a bit. Distance always seemed to help in lessening the degree of emotions he picked up from other people, and right now, he certainly wasn't in the mood to be an emotional sponge. He'd just woken up and all he wanted to do was read his-- Something crashed into him, or he crashed into something, he couldn't really tell. All he was aware of was his book being knocked from his grip and that his footing had been compromised, causing him to fall into the grass on his side. He was a bit jostled, but otherwise fine. There was probably a grass stain or two on his coat, but he wasn't concerned about that. What was his concern was the book he had dropped, and whatever had caused him to end up on the ground. Crawling over to retrieve his book, he looked up and saw that it wasn't a something, but a someone who had caused him to fall over. This person was currently getting up himself, which immediately made the empath feel bad. For the first time in his life, his habit of reading while walking had actually gotten himself and someone else into a bit of trouble. Rising to his feet, he was about to offer some sort of apology - in whatever nonverbal way he could - when the person suddenly went off on him. Any agitation or anger he might have felt himself from the person opposite of him was immediately overtaken by fear. This boy was not only very angry, but his appearance was very intimidating as well, and the combination was enough to make the normally pale boy go a shade whiter in fear. He took a step or two back in what might have been terror or what might have been self-defense, since it seemed like the fish-like boy might just tear his limbs off. Michael's posture seemed very small and meek now as Jet continued to berate him; his arms were curled rather protectively around his book, which was held tightly to his chest as if it might shield him from the other's wrath; his eyes were averted towards the ground, for he could not bear to see such a person so angry at him. This other boy kept demanding for him to speak, to which Michael merely shook his head frightfully, his eyes squeezed shut as if he was trying to block out the hatred that was emanating from Jet. He couldn't talk, he just couldn't, and yet he couldn't simply not do anything, either. Looking to the other boy frantically, he made a couple of slashing gestures at his own throat, shaking his head all the while, simply praying that he would understand.

Most bullies had been bullied themselves, had their rudeness and sheer terrible natures come from some traumatic event by being berating and downsized themselves by their family members or another bully, Jet was more complicated than that, not entirely different, just more complicated. Jet wasn't raised by a family so he never learned right from wrong, his rudeness came from him living in a boxed cement room with twenty other children, having to fight for food, for warmth, although the other kids would share and be kind to others, Jet would attack others, intimidate to get his way, it was all he knew, and that continued to this day, he wasn't used to not getting what he wanted and when Michael didn't answer him, something that he wanted and demanded, it made him fuming.
Jet snarled once more, this time louder and deeper in register, his knees were scuffed from the fall and pieces of dirt and rock continued to fall out of his glimmering white teeth. Jet had noticed the hand motions the boy had been making. "Oh...Now you're threatening me? Listen here, if ANYONE is going to slice the others neck, IT'S GOING TO BE ME!" Jet was getting closer and closer. He had noticed that Michael had been eyeing the book and he swiftly went for it, grabbing it in his hands and using one of his pointy claws to rip the cover slightly. "So you're a nerd, huh? Like to read? Well here's a story...Ahem, Once upon a time there was this boy, and he made the mistake of crossing someone who was having a very bad day, now the man this boy had bumped into was very generous and offered the boy an out, and when he didn't apologize he ripped his throat out!" Jet bit into the pages of the book and threw it to the ground. "Tell me how the next chapter goes, freak!" Jet lunged at the boy but stopped seemingly in mid-air. "Hey! What the hell is going on? You some kinda psychic or some bull****?" "No..." A deep voice answered. "He's not a psychic, nor a nerd and you aren't going to harm him." The man was Quake, he was so tall, towering over the both of them, he seemed so scary, his muscles were bulging out of his arms, he was incredibly toned, and it looked like he was ready to beat the both of them up. But instead, he spoke, it was soothing really. "Reading is a noble activity, and those who partake should be proud, it broadens the mind, perhaps you should take it up." Quake let the boy down, it was like Jet was weightless to Quake. "Was that a dig, old man!?" Jet snapped. "I think you're smart enough to know which of us would win in a fight, now please, I want no quarrel, now give the boy his book andwander off." Jet stared at Quake for a moment before angrily picking up the book, shoving it into Michael's hands and then taking a bite at the man before walking off, mumbling to himself. Quake approached the boy and offered him his hand. "I am Quake, I apologize for not intervening faster. You are mute, yes? You must remember that words are not weapons, they can hurt but only if you let them."

The empath's eyes widened in horror when Jet mistook his gestures for hostile ones instead of the explanation they had meant to be. He would never threaten anyone or anything, but the other boy had no way of knowing this, and he himself had no way of telling him. Michael glanced around him almost frantically. He wasn't quite sure what he was looking for - a means of escape? The answer to properly communicate with this boy? He didn't know. All he knew was that if he didn't do something, in either pacification or retreat, he was going to be broken in a hundred pieces like a china doll.
When the boy made a grab for his book, he tried to reach for it for a split second, but immediately retracted his hands back. While he loved his book - wouldn't tolerate someone so much as dog-earing a page - he loved his arms being unbroken more, so he could only watch helplessly as he watched what would soon almost certainly be his book in tatters. As Jet gave him his own little version of story-time, the empath looked at him desperately, gesturing with his hands frantically as if trying to convey something, but to no avail. Part of him was deciding whether he should bolt as fast as he could and pray that this boy didn't catch him. If he was thinking rationally, he would know that he wasn't very fast, and that he'd probably get tackled to the ground before he got two feet in any direction. He wasn't thinking rationally, but his reaction was still the same: he was frozen, not because he knew that running was a futile effort, but because he was scared out of his mind and his limbs were frozen. He couldn't react as his book was reduced to a pitiful state. He couldn't react when Jet suddenly lunged at him. All he could register was fear, and that he was probably going to end up dead, or at the very least hospitalized. So it came as a shock when the boy's attack suddenly halted, seemingly against Jet's own will. Michael was confused for a moment, but his fear immediately returned when he saw yet another very intimidating-looking man standing there. He wasn't sure whether to feel grateful or scared out of his wits, but he wasn't given very long to decide, for the man spoke up. He was... defending him. The empath relaxed just a hair, though he was still very much on edge. He remained on edge until his poor book was thrown back into his hands and Jet had walked a good enough distance off. Looking timidly at Quake, he nodded shakily at his inquiry, hesitating a moment before taking his hand to shake it. He wasn't very fond of handshakes, but this man had probably just saved his life, so he was willing to go out of his comfort zone for him. Michael frowned almost imperceptibly at the man's last words, but as always, he said nothing in return. Instead, he merely put one hand to his chest, bowing his head a little bit, trying to show his gratitude.

Quake watched as the fish-boy trailed off into the distance, he definitely took his time, perhaps due to his footing situation, Quake made a mental note of that, that was something he did quite a bit, make mental notes on strengths, weaknesses, etc if he ever had to fight them or fight beside them. Quake also noted Michael's weakness, immobilization by fear, he'd yet to find a fighting strength but knowledge was definitely a valiant occupation. "Hmm.."
Quaked had noticed the slight frown, curious as to why he'd done that, perhaps from being bullied so much in the past that the boy did see words as weapons, which, could have been entirely possible, one man's truth was not always another's. When the boy bowed Quake put a hand to his chest and gave out a hearty chuckle that seemed to echo across the camp. "No need for such gratitude, I was only doing was I believed to be right and if that's something rewarding then I'd have a pot of gold by now!" Quake wasn't in his armor, he only wore his armor if he was out training, and though it was the summer and many were relaxing and taking breaks from learning Quake found enjoyment in broadening his skills, often setting up obstacle courses or wrestling with others of strength, aswell as training with a Master to better further his skills as a warrior in terms of using his weapons. "If you'd like I could keep an eye on you, make sure no one else messes with you, I don't want to babysit and make you feel less of a man, merely I'm offering assistance until you feel safe, surely you are shaken after that encounter with big bad Jaws, aha!" Quake was a loner but he enjoyed company, he would often go out to the bar with acquaintances for a laugh and a good time but he didn't keep contact with anyone in particular. He felt his purpose as a bodyguard could be meaningful and perhaps bring him close to others but if the boy didn't want his protection he would be perfectly fine with that aswell.

The empath saw Quake stare off in the direction Jet had gone, but instead of following the man's gaze to see what he was looking at - for he knew what his eyes were trained on already - Michael looked instead at the expression on the man's face. The silent boy was a very keen observer. When one doesn't partake in conversation, one is left instead to watch the world around them, unhindered by keeping up their part of the dialogue. It had become a habit of his to watch, and from the constant surveying of his surroundings, Michael had become quite adept at watching, learning what he could by merely keeping an eye and an ear open.
What he saw now from looking at Quake's face - more accurately, by seeing the look in his eye - he knew he was in the presence of another individual who was very perceptive and observing. It was a little intimidating learning this bit of information, in a sense. While he was very content in taking in all the little details around him, Michael wasn't too sure how he felt about being watched. It was far more comfortable being the predator than the prey, and while the empath didn't view what he did as necessarily harmful, he knew that information was a weapon all on its own. Used properly, it could destroy what guns or tanks could not. He didn't assume that Quake had any ill intentions. He merely recognized that the man was very good at watching, and that was something to be taken into heavy consideration. When the man reacted to his rather excessive gesture of thanks, Michael's lip quirked up slightly in amusement. When one is mute, one often has to rely on extreme facial expressions or gestures to convey what they want to say, very much like a mime. The empath wasn't very big on making facial expressions, however, so he often relied on gestures to get his point across. As Quake went on, the silent boy's earlier trepidation was replaced by a sense of calm and safety. Being an empath, Michael was a very good judge of character. He liked Quake - he was a powerful, yet kind creature, like a gentle giant. Though he had been surprised by the man's skills in observation, he supposed now that, instead of being rather wary of it, he would take it as a sort of challenge. Just how observant was this man? How much could he distinguish from tiny subtleties? Since communicating with a mute boy surely involved a great deal of perception, Michael supposed he may have found a new friend who may be able to understand him better than anyone else. Intrigued and made rather happy by this idea, the quiet boy merely made his way to stand next to Quake. It was rather obvious what he was trying to say - he liked being around the man. ((OOC: I feel like Quake and Michael are going to be constantly testing each other's observation skills. ))

Vianne was already up and wide awake. She didn't need an alarm clock to get up early, as she was actually an early riser herself. She was used to getting up early to either go fishing with her dad or do whatever chores that needed to be done. Vi didn't really have any responsibilities to take care of right now, so she was free to do whatever she wanted.
She wasn't really sure what she wanted to do yet, so she was just walking through camp with her backpack on and her hands resting behind her head. Even though she had a cabin to keep her bag in, she still had a habit of carrying it around with her. All that time spent traveling and camping on her own made her feel almost naked without her backpack. She just liked having it with her, in case she needed it for anything. Vi didn't really think she would need it anytime soon, but she had learned that it was always good to be prepared for the unexpected.

OOC: Ah, sorry! Busy weekend!
The difference in Aileen's house to Digby's was that its walls were much taller, and its ceiling much higher. Over time, alterations were specifically made to accommodate her towering height, as her parents were accomplished builders who enjoyed augmenting their own homestead as well as their job, building new structures for the camp as needed. One of their favorite installations was a glass dome placed, years ago, over the living room that let in natural light. It had quickly became Aileen's favorite, as well; she used to sneak out of her room every night to lay down on the couch and look at the stars, staring deep into the night. Shortly after Digby knocked, he could hear long, paced strides grow louder before his friend opened the door. "Hey," she said bluntly, promptly shutting the door behind her and standing in silence. She would have seemed like a shut-in and hostile to strangers, but he's known her long enough to know how she is. |

Digby backed up a bit as she opened the door, he knew she needed some room due to her increased height. It was normally shock someone, even most of the Camp members who had incredibly strange and unbelievable powers that a girl at her age could be so tall but Digby had gotten used to it, it was sometimes a strain on his neck, and it did make it easy for Digby to defend Aileen, especially considering he could tell when they were looking where they shouldn't. Digby felt like a bodyguard, a big brother of Aileen's, though she probably didn't need the help considering she could just stand up and intimidate anyone who tried to harm her.
Digby walked down the steps that lead up towards her front door, scraping off several pieces of his now obliterated alarm clock from his arm "You've always had a way with words....So do we have any special plans for today, could always hustle some dudes at the basketball court, that's always fun, although I'm up for pretty much anything, considering that we've only got a few days before booooring classes begin again." Digby was incredibly expressive in the way he spoke, he spoke with his eyebrows a lot, moving them about bunch. ----- Quake gave a slight grin to the boy that he towered over, he seemed quite loose with his hands in his pockets, if he'd been in battle he would've been menacing and calm, hands by his side and ready to strike when needed. "Well, I'm actually headed to my cabin to get my armor so I can train, even the greatest of those in their fields need to train, there is no such thing as being the best. But if you don't want to watch a strange man attack metal dummies you could always drag me to wherever it is you feel your most calm." Quake wasn't indecisive but he liked giving others options, he didn't want to bore the boy but since Michael enjoyed Quake's company he thought he'd extend some options.

As the much larger man told him of his plans, Michael listened thoughtfully. Quake was very kind to offer going wherever the empath felt like going, but all the same, the quiet boy merely shook his head in negation. He was comfortable nearly anywhere so long as there weren't too many people, so he was more than willing to follow his new companion wherever he wanted to go. Besides, he wouldn't feel right monopolizing someone's time when they could instead be spending their day doing something they either wanted or needed to do.
So instead of leading Quake of somewhere else within the camp, the empath remained stubbornly by his side, implying that he would be the one doing the following and not vice versa.

Quake nodded at the boy contently and began to walk towards his cabin, it wasn't too far so that was nice but Quake enjoyed walking, he would often go for afternoon walks just to wherever sparked his interest. Quake lived a lone, however a lot of the younger camp members would have roommates or cabins that had an extra bedroom in case they wanted the company, like Digby who lived alone but had an extra room, Quake aswell had that, though he never thought about having a roommate as he was content the way he those, although he would never oppose the idea. In the center of every sector of the camp, which were all easily accessible by bus or subway, was a large bulletin board where members who wanted help with something or wanted work or wanted a roommate would put up announcements for such things and Quake would often complete tasks posted on the board as he enjoyed helping out.
On the way to his cabin Quake thought of something. "I don't believe I caught your name....Hmm..." Quake stopped on the path and began to sign with his hands, something he picked up during his travels before the camp. My name is Quake, as I am sure you already know, do you understand sign? What is your name? It was worth a shot, if the boy understood sign it would be easier, but if not he would easily just use his keen observation skills to determine how the boy felt.

As Quake started to walk off, the mute boy readily followed behind. As they walked, he took the time to examine his damaged book. Jet had really left some deep scratches in it, to the point where the cover was nearly in tatters. The pages had been spared the worst of the damage, but there were several holes that went about halfway through the book where Jet had decided to take a bite.
Michael sighed quietly. He was definitely upset about his book. His reading material was one of the few things that the boy managed to find peace and comfort in. For him, it was upsetting for a book to be defaced like this. In all honesty, however, it was probably the encounter with Jet himself that had the empath so put on edge. The boy didn't like having people so angry with him, as he was a gentle creature who just wanted to live in peace with the people around him. His empathy only made the encounter seem worse. Being able to feel another person's emotions is more often than not an unpleasant thing. Though he'd been overcome by his own fear in the actual confrontation, Michael could still feel the hum of Jet's anger in his mind. It was a lingering feeling, like the warmth that was left behind by the sun when it went behind the clouds; the source was no longer there, but its effects remained behind. He was brought out of his thoughts by Quake's remark. As the man lapsed into silence, the empath knew that he was probably trying to come up with a way to get his name out of him when he couldn't talk. Gloved fingers were already fumbling with his scarf as he reached for the solution to this problem when the movement of hands caught his eye. Looking back up at Quake, Michael saw that his hands were moving in a quick, yet organized fashion. The silent boy recognized it instantly, but instead of replying, he averted his eyes with a somewhat guilty expression on his solemn face. He always felt terrible when people made such an effort to communicate with him when he could not return the favor. Saying nothing, nor shaking his head in either an affirmative or a negative in regards to whether he understood the unspoken language, Michael simply continued to dig underneath his scarf and his coat until he eventually pulled something out. Pulling it over his head, he offered the locket to Quake. On the back of this little item was inscribed his name: Michael.

Only recently shes come out and been interacting and occasionally playfully pulling pranks on others. Powers: Latis changes colors in her normal state depending upon her mood. She can change appearance to look like anyone though, but this is limited to people she has seen before and she cannot hold it for very long. Absorbing liquid she can grow in size and in danger she can drop liquid to shrink in size. She can also change into intimate objects, animals and camouflage herself. She has recently discovered she can freeze small segments of herself if needed but they either break off or turn back.

After Nocto finished tidying up his table from all lose parts last night and anything else in his shop while getting something to eat he had to decide what he do now he started to yawn and to be honest he never really gets that much sleep to begin with and it today lucky it would not be a problem to wake up late. So he decide to walk and grab a blanket go to the front of the house near a large window he installed to observe the crashing waves and endless water there was a chair already at the window he jump right into it and threw the blanket over finally some well needed rest after feeling like a mess for so long it's nice to stop for a while...he took off his mask and threw his blacket over him "good thing I don't have to wear the mask now." He sigh in relief.
Mins. later Nocto got up and was busy prepared himself he had to make a trip to restock on some bolts and nails though to be quite honest he was not looking forward he never is other than his own shop everywhere else in the camp he feels uncomfortable same goes for the people but no time to fear he reassured himself and made way for the market hoping he bumps into no one.

Kayla was already awake, as she had gotten up early for a change. Usually, she was more of a heavy sleeper who preferred sleeping in until around noon. Even her alarm clock had a hard time actually getting her up. However, this morning was different. She got up at the first buzz of the alarm with an insatiable appetite to draw something.
Motivation and inspiration were not always present, but always more than welcome when they were. With time off from training and fair weather, it was hard not to be in a good mood. The summer was the perfect time to be drawing, but the means to create didn't always come at a convenient time. So with only a few days left of summer, Kayla welcomed the opportunity to draw. Normally, she would stay in the peaceful serenity of her room, where no one was likely to bother her. However, with the weather being so nice, she wanted to take advantage of it while she still could. Even though she normally wasn't a very active person, she still enjoyed embracing the beauty of the outdoors every once in awhile. So with sketchbook in hand, Kayla headed out of her cabin to find a relaxing place to draw. She figured a spot under a shade tree would be perfect, hopefully with some beautiful scenery to sketch. ~ ~ ~ Vianne still wasn't sure of what she actually wanted to do today. She usually had a hard time deciding on things, but she wanted to take advantage of the summer vacation while she still could. She just needed a fun idea, or someone to hang out with. The problem was, Vianne was still new, and didn't really know anyone in camp yet. She also hadn't learned her way around yet either. When she came across a tall tree, Vi got an idea. Maybe a bird's eye view of the place could help her decide or find something fun to do. So with a grin, she rushed over to the tree and quickly placed a hand on the trunk. To an onlooker, it would appear as if the bark of the tree stretched its way onto Vianne's hand and began spreading over her entire body. Her whole form, even her clothes and backpack, had become solid wood in moments. With a smile, Vi phased into the bark of the tree, seemingly disappearing into it. If one looked closely, a sort of ripple effect could be seen, as if the pattern on the bark was changing direction or moving across the surface. The movement stopped when Vi simply stepped out of the trunk and onto one of the higher branches. She was still wooden and still connected to the tree. From her standing position on the branch, she looked down at the camp below to find anything of interest.

Name: Rhin "Shadow" Fallen
Age: NA- Looks very young Gender: Male Physical Appearance: At a glance he seems nothing more than a reflection or an illusion of a person. This may be because he has no body, but despite all observations, he is in fact physical. He is tall and built like an athelete, with long raven black hair, tied with a ribbon of scarlet and emerald. His eyes are deep midnight blue and are calming, soothing, but distant. Dressed in a tattered shirt and jeans, he has the look of someone who survived something terrible. Powers: Storms + Gravity. Can summon/create storms, manipulate and transform them, as well as control them. Able to form and control singularities. He is immune to his abilities, rather they are him. Weaknesses: Possesing no actual body has no effect on his ability to feel pain, bleed, and all in all be hurt. His singularities very and once unleashed do not discern friend from foe and will remain until they burn out. His storms vary and just like the singularities will remain until they burn out. His greatest weakness is making friend as people tend to avoid him or be afraid of his wraith-like appearance. Personality: He is a compassionate, generous and loyal individual. Not much more is known about him due to how distant others are with him. History: He is the unidentified victim of an unknown explosion, actually several small to medium ones to trigger one massive one, that injured more than one hundred people, but killed only one. Unknown by all but a few this was because of the selfless sacrifice, Rhin, made. Unable to escape after having his leg pinned by debris, he sealed the door, just seconds before the massive explosion occured, sealing his fate but saving the others. |

//I provided a character sheet up above but it seems you made your own, for any time in the future you should use the provided one as you're missing the History tab and the sheet is formatted in a way that just makes it easier for me, I strongly suggest you make a history for him as everyone above has already done so. For his healing ability I hope it's not overpowered, that's my main concern, like if he can heal cuts and whatnot that's alright but not like, severed body parts or fatal wounds. Other than that youre accepted. //
Quake held the locket in his large hands, rubbing his fingers across the indentations that spelled out the name "Michael". "Michael...So you're mute in all forms other than expression I can see, I suppose this fares well for myself as I enjoy both the silence and ability to speak aloud. Let us not make any more haste, if we do the sun may not be so kind and could leave without warning." With that Quake continued his trek towards his cabin, it was different from most in that it had all sorts of hanging memorabilia outside and in, most likely from Quake's journeys before the camp. Hanging on the door was a golden circle with a hole in the middle, inside the hole was a silver knocker shaped like that of a Dragon's head. Quake opened the door and welcomed Michael in. "You may come in if you so wish though I understand the want of staying out here due to me being a somewhat complete and total stranger."

Michael listened as Quake spoke, but of course, he didn't say anything in return, as usual. Though his face didn't really do much to express it, he was really happy in the inside that the man didn't seem to mind his silence. Normally people were warded away by his quietness, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as the mute boy preferred being alone. But even someone who preferred solitude got lonely, and so Michael was very happy to have found someone who didn't seem to care in the slightest that he could not respond to any of his questions or comments.
Carefully taking his locket back and stuffing it under his scarf and coat where it belonged, Michael trailed after Quake like a sheep following its shepherd until they came to the man's cabin. For a moment his eyes flicked over the establishment's unique details before settling back on the home's owner. At Quake's offer, Michael politely declined with a small shake of his head. It wasn't that he was afraid of going into the house of someone he hardly knew, but rather, his hesitance was due to two other reasons. The first, simply being that he didn't want to intrude in someone's personal space, even though the man had just given his permission to come on inside. The second reason was a bit more complicated. As an empath, Michael was prone to picking up the emotions of the people around him. This was common knowledge. What wasn't common knowledge was that certain objects and environments were imprinted with different emotions. Homes especially radiated with their owner's overall emotional mood, as these small, confined spaces were frequently lived in by their owners and trapped in all of the emotion that they felt. This was why Michael tended to avoid certain areas. Graveyards and hospitals, for example, were literally drenched in grief and sorrow, the emotion seemingly part of the very foundations themselves. These places were like being trapped in an oven, only instead of suffocating from the heat, it was emotion instead. Quake's house certainly wouldn't have been anywhere near the intensity of a graveyard or a hospital, but it was still a concentrated area where the man's deepest feelings and emotions would be ingrained into the very walls. Michael preferred to avoid such emotional "hot spots" when he could, but he also didn't like the feeling of intruding in the man's house in an emotional sense. He wouldn't just be treading on the man's property in a physical sense, but also almost a mental sense. He would be able to feel the aura of the house, a place that was supposed to be safe and private for its owner. And so, for this multitude of reasons, Michael simply stayed where he was, not wanting to encroach on Quake's house and the emotional imprint he left in it, nor wanting to subject himself to outside emotions that he always tried so hard to keep out of his head.

"Mm."
As Digby continued talking, Aileen took in her surroundings, looking around, before her eyes set on the debris that fell on her porch. She thought of it for a moment before deciding to answer his question. "I don't have anything planned," she said, staring back into the distance and falling silent again. It was hard for her to focus on on things immediately in front of her when there was so much going on around her. The sight of birds fluttering from twig to twig and squirrels scampering up trunks in the distant trees distracted her. Instead of straining her ears to try to listen to them, she focused on Digby's words. |

"Well I've been thinking..." Digby said as he shoved his hands in his pockets. "About maybe putting up a notice on the bulletin board, about getting a roommate, it gets kinda boring, don't get me wrong being alone is awesome but it's not always very fun, especially when all I do is eat and sleep." He shrugged, he just didn't want to go to the trouble of designing a big flashy ad. "Obviously there would be some restrictions; Non-smoker, gotta be a girl, must be super hot and have low standards." He joked, although whenever Digby joked it was said to seem serious, something that irked a lot of people. "I thought about asking you but with the whole roof situation there'd have to be a ton of renovations, I dunno...What do you think?" Digby noticed her distraction. "Hey, Aily, you listening?"
----- Quake nodded at the boy and then entered his home, it was like Digby's except the furnishing was completely different, more simple, less technological. Growing up on a farm and living in the woods for so long made Quake less partial to technology than most in the Camp, especially considering he was always out training so he didn't really have the need for it. For recreation he wrote stories and a journal, aswell as daydreaming, he enjoyed to make scenarios in his head that he knew would never happen. Inside there were dozens of cool items, ranging from armor to weapons and just random objects, although they were all in casings, the entire place was very tidy. Quake finally reached his room and began to switch into his armor, growing slightly in height and very much so in weight. He made his way to the kitchen once he was done, filling a plastic cup with some milk and then leaving the house. "Here." He offered the cup to Michael. "Makes your bones strong, and tastes pretty good too." He bent over and whispered to him. "Sometimes I like to have milk of the chocolate variety, but that's our little secret, hm?" Quake then stood up straight, less loose than he was before, when the armor was put on he began a seemingly new person in terms of posture and somewhat seriousness. "The training area is over there, by that rock." He pointed to a large mossy boulder stuck in the ground, around it were metal soldiers and various workout equipment including a punching bag.

As Quake disappeared through the door and into his house, the empath just stared blankly at the ground. He wasn't really focusing on the blades of grass that shifted in the slight breeze. To any onlooker that might have seen him just then, they might have been inclined to think that Michael was simply staring off into space. In actuality, however, the silent boy was trying very hard to not do just that.
In every moment of his life, wisps of emotion from outside sources swam around him like a giant cloud, poking and prodding at his mind, trying to gain entrance. If he allowed his mind to wander, the walls he set up around his mind might waver, allowing a current of feeling to flow into him and consume him. Emotions are always managing to trickle into his head, but if he let his mind wander, at the very worst, Michael could possibly slip into a catatonic state - he has before. At that time, he had been so caught up in the tide of emotions - which were so precise and distinct that they were almost more like memories - that he had been completely unresponsive to his surrounding environment. This is why, at times, the empath might seem very detached from his surroundings. He is either lost in the foreign emotions that invade his mind, or he is concentrating very hard to not let that happen. So when Quake came out of the house, Michael didn't immediately react to his presence. Instead, it took the man's voice to snap him out of his trance-like state. He blinked up at Quake, seeming surprised at his presence there for a moment, before looking at the glass of milk he held inquisitively. He accepted the milk as it was offered to him, and felt a bit of merriment well inside him as the man shared his little secret with him. It was a silly little piece of information, and anyone else might have offered a chuckle in return, but Michael's face was almost always as though he was wearing a mask in place, so his expression conveyed very little - if any - humor. Looking toward the rock Quake had pointed to, the empath set about heading towards their destination, occasionally tossing a glance behind him to see if he was being followed.

OOC: Forget the healing so we avoid that.
Beneath the shade of a tall tree, on the path toward the training grounds, I watch the two. It is nice to see someone has friends. My wraith-like appearance frightens people away, even though I am far from it. My deep, dark midnight blue eyes sparkle in the darkness. Having no actual body of my own, I seem no more than a reflection or illusion to the eye, but I am in fact real. No one knows why I have been given this chance to live forever as a wraith-like being to protect the world from evil. All I remember is a series of small explosions in the facility that I was working in and people running for their lives, me included. Then I remember something falling and crushing my legs, trapping me in the room. As I see signs of the final explosion about to happen, I seal the doors of room using the still functioning door control panel, and then seconds after the doors close, all goes dark. Next thing, I know, I am alone in the remains of a room in a facility with the main doors sealed, but the ceiling and walls are completely destroyed. Stepping out of the destroyed place that was my life's work for so long, I wander the world, until I find the one place that I feel I may at least be able to call home, The Camp. Other than that I don't remember anything else. People say that unknowingly I caused much destruction during my travels, but I have recollection of any of it. All I know is people avoid me, either out of fear or something else. If I ever returned to the outside world, I would most likely be imprisoned in a special chamber made by the government to house something like me, and live there until, someone freed me from their clutches. No, I would never return there unless, I had no choice, no this is my home now. I just want to make some friends here, perhaps something more if that is possible for someone like me. |

While standing on the tree branch, Vianne took a good long look at the camp. She enjoyed being up so high and taking in the sights from a new perspective. It was moments like this that made her feel taller than she really was. Even though she was only standing on a tree branch, she felt like she was on top of the world, and she loved every minute of it.
From her vantage point, she could see a large, armored fellow conversing with another while heading towards what appeared to be a workout area. She figured that they were getting ready to train, or at least one of them was, and she grinned in excitement. "Aw, man, I wish I had some popcorn to go with the show." She muttered to herself, even though it would be awkward to eat food in her wood form. Vi sat down on the branch, eager to watch the show. She wondered what sort of powers these two had, hopefully something fun to watch. She was tempted to join them and test out her own abilities, but wondered whether or not she would be intruding. Vianne didn't know them, and they may not appreciate a total stranger inviting themselves to hang out with them. So out of respect and consideration for one's personal space, she decided to simply watch from the treetop.

Nocto made his way to the market yet he was taken back and more frighten by the crowd that was infront of him crowded and probably being watched...how embassing but he had no other options at the moment he never does. To get through the crowd was quite simple enough Nocto decide to focus and tap into his power his body became a translucent shades of grey to simply describe "intangibility...thank you" he whispered to himself he began to reassure himself that everything is fine and he's being idiotic then proceeded to quite litterly go through the crowed.
After wrapping up picking up supplies and reaching the edge of the market and subsiding his intangibility there was only one thing he needed to do "Please no more attention I can't stand it..." Get back to his shop and work and praising no one will watch him or he draws attention bass icky like anyone other day when he needs to get out.

Quake followed behind, keeping pace but not rushing, he didn't want to waste any energy before he started his training. Those in the camp were encouraged to train i case of ever there being an emergency, whether it be natural disaster, rogue members, or the camp being discovered, however that was unlikely considering those who didn't have abilities couldn't see the camp, however, some families did consist of those who didn't have powers, in which case they would still be able to go in and see everything inside, there was always someone keeping watch at the doors making sure the people coming in with the Outcasts were safe aswell, which was furthered along due to the excessive data banks that the Camp collected.
Quake finally made it to the rock, around the area were tiny little bumps in the ground that created a perfect circle, they were meant to keep i shock waves. "Michael, this is my training area. I must warn you, things can get a bit....Ahem, bumpy, I suppose you could say." He gave a swift smirk before turning around and pulling out a sword from his back. "Michael, please stay sitting on that rock, it's a viewing platform, those little bumps surrounding this area are the same as those surrounding that rock, it protects you from shock waves and if projectiles are flown towards you I can assure you with a one hundred and one percent certainty that those bumps will block them, seeing as once the training begins they will create a forcefield." Quake made sure that Michael understood everything he was saying. "Do you understand?"

"You mean no standards," Aileen replied with a snort, looking back down at him. "My parents need help with keeping the kids in line, so that's not possible," she added seriously. It was busy trying to keep two rambunctious little girls from burning down the house (literally, in one case), and her parents' job was physically tasking. They often came home only to collapse on the bed, still in their sweaty work clothes, and lay there for an hour before attending to household duties. They needed her during those kind of days.
"You should get a girlfriend or something." She said this in a serious tone, but at a lower volume, which Digby had learned meant that she was joking. |

When Michael made it to the rock first, he waited the few moments it took for Quake to come stand by his side. While he had been making his way to the rock, the empath had been wondering just what abilities the man possessed that he was about to practice. He assumed that the name "Quake" was an alias, which might be synonymous to "Earthquake". If so, the empath could only assume that the other man's abilities had something to do with the Earth, though this was merely speculation.
This theory seemed more solidified when Quake began to warn him of the "bumpiness" that would no doubt ensue from his training. To be sure, Michael was a bit intimidated by the thought of just what the man's abilities were capable of in their possibly destructive capacity - for the empath was rather easily frightened by others' powers, which tended to be more dangerous than his own - but he was calmed down considerably as Quake explained to him that he would be perfectly safe in spectating. Feeling rather relieved at this, Michael gave his new companion a nod of understanding before moving to sit comfortably in a cross-legged position in the center of the smooth rock. Though he didn't pretend to fully understand just how the little bumps that surrounded the rock he sat upon would serve to protect him from something as powerful as shock waves or projectiles, he trusted that Quake knew what he was talking about. So the empath merely sat there as quietly as he always was, a hint of curiosity in his eyes on his otherwise solemn features.

I silenty slip in the training ring, no more that a specter of a human. My form brushes against Michael, as I wander over to a group of trees and sit down. My eyes glisten as I watch the two. My long raven black hair flows down past my shoulders. I am far too shy to make the first move.

"I resent that!" He snapped at her, obviously in a joking matter. "It's true, but I resent it." Shane looked over the horizon and into the distance, the camp was large, like it's own little planet, but everything was easily accessible for convenience, and the camp was always being developed further and built larger as more Outcasts piled in. "I would..." He said. "But I don't know any girls." He teased at her and ran off towards a large cluster of trees, hoping she'd give chase. "C'mon!"
----- As Quake pulled out his sword and explained how the process worked, once he had finished training he stared intently at the metal figure. The training area was fairly large, as Quake needed a lot of room, which didn't really make sense at first glance, all there was were metal figures and punching bags and a few other workout materials. "Viridium." The tiny bumps shot up blue lights, creating a domed forcefield around the area and Michael. The Metal training statue perked up and from its hand shot out two glimmering swords, incredibly sharp looking and dangerous. It seemed that Quake would just destroy the statue with one blow but it pulled out of the ground, revealing two legs, It jumped at Quake who stopped the blade from hitting him, the statue, or robot, or whatever it was, was clearly programmed to match Quake's strength to a certain extent, obviously he wanted to push the limits of his abilities. "Nice try." Quake pulled back his sword and side-rolled around the robot as the robots blade came slicing down into the fresh grass, the robot spun around but Quake had disappeared, disoriented the robot began to look around before it noticed that Quake has been quietly sneaking behind him the entire time before raising his blade to slice and just before he could he was kicked to the ground. He grunted loudly as he saw another robot joining the fray, "Clever girl..." Quake brought out his second sword. "Play time ends now." They attacked in unison, Quake dual wielding his swords to fight off the two robots, it was like a blur, a flash of lightning, almost impossible to follow, the robots had forced quake back, and knocked him down, preparing to take the final blow when the ground started to rumble, the robots raised into the air, the ground below them rising with them on top. Quake jumped at the two, sending them flying, Quake commanded large rocks to fly at the robots as he took steps closer and closer. Quakes eyes glowed green, they were radiating. A third robot came in for a gank but Quake had hilted one of his swords and carefully and with great precision threw one of his axes at the metallic enemy, his chest pierced by the sharped head. Just then four more robots attacked, all six jumping into the air simultaneously and they piled onto him, to anyone watching it would've seemed that Quake had been killed. But after a few seconds the robots went flying as Quake had blocked the attack with his Shield, the robots aligned, almost perfectly like bowling pins and Quake rammed at them with his shield, knocking them every which way. Just then another four appeared. "So this is what I get for amping up the difficulty setting..." Four in front, four in back, one on each side. "This is my favorite part." Quake stood straight from his previously hunched position, hilting his swords and cracking his knuckles. "Last chance to surrender, boys." The robots ran at him. "I was just waiting for the hammer to fall!" With the, Quake reached at his back and grabbed a large hammer, more like a giant mallet, as wide as two watermelons fused together. He screamed and swung the mallet around, raised it into the air, jumped a good two feet upwards and came crashing down, the hammer pelting the earth and creating a giant shock wave that sent robot parts flying everywhere. "Game Over." The forcefields lowered and Quake stood, placing his hammer onto his back and retrieving his axe.

((OOC: Hey Wyrstel, maybe you could have your character interact with one of Cynder's characters. That would give you both something to do. Just a suggestion. :3))
For a moment, Michael thought he felt something brush up against him. It was almost like an incorporeal presence that passed by him, like a breeze or a shift in the wind. Along with it came a sense of... was it timidity? He shivered slightly as if chilled, wrapping his arms around himself a bit protectively. The empath was used to feeling unusual things. He understood what it was to feel a heaviness in the air that signified feelings such as dread or hopelessness. Though he was accustomed to sensing others' feelings, he was also accustomed to feeling the mood of his environment, and sometimes these feelings even manifested themselves as physical sensations. But this was somehow different. It was like a ghost had passed by him, and was unlike anything he had ever felt before. He looked around his surroundings for a moment, though he really didn't expect to see anything out of the ordinary. The problem with being an empath was that you often couldn't see or hear what was troubling you; you simply felt it, not necessarily with one of your five basic senses, but with another entirely different means of perceiving the world. It was disorienting to be able to sense something without being able to see it with your eyes. A small, quiet sigh escaped him. He did not know what he had just sensed, but it was gone now, so he tried his best to simply ignore it. It was probably better for his sanity that way. Returning his attention to the matter at hand, Michael saw as the force field went up around him, and he immediately understood now how he was being protected. He felt safe behind this impenetrable wall - if only there was such a wall that blocked out emotion - though he was a bit concerned about how dangerous this training area was. Just what was about to happen that warranted the use of force fields to keep spectators safe? His unasked question was immediately answered when the robot-like golems appeared out of the earth. He watched, both in awe and with a speck of concern for his companion's safety, as Quake devastated these opponents with both skill and sheer strength. It was apparent, then, that Quake's abilities enhanced his physical prowess. For a moment the empath wondered if this was the extent of the man's unique abilities, but he soon witnessed his eyes flash green and the demonstration of his earth-moving powers. It was clearly evident that Quake was skilled in both the use of weapons as well as his own unique abilities. Michael watched, cringing slightly every now and then when things looked bad, but he always breathed a sigh of relief when it turned out that Quake was just fine. When the man finished his training session, effectively decimating his targets with an enormous shock wave that sent bits of robot in all directions, the empath stood from his spot as the force field went down. Looking to Quake, who was in the process of retrieving his weapons, he clapped his hands in polite applause, though the sound was muted by the material of his gloves.

Aileen laughed, and followed Digby's gaze towards the camp absentmindedly. At his teasing and inclination to give chase, she gave a single "ha" and ran towards him. Although she wasn't exactly running, as her legs were so long and her strides were so wide. It looked more like she was lightly jogging, but she approached him very quickly. She almost grabbed his hoodie before she had to duck under tree branches, now having to calculate the distances between obstacles and maneuver around them.
