Nice. I was thinking about being a lifeguard for the summer, but I can't drive so it would've been a pain

It's actually not my pool. It goes from three feet to nine feet so I'm assuming yard. (Plus feet and yards are both american)

Thanks, awesomerockets.

*sigh* Ok...

What distance did you have to be able to swim in order to pass? (or your best, I'll take either)

Kardonis is asking if how long the pool is in yards or meters not how deep it goes

Congratulations to you for your achievement. Swimming is an important ability to possess and as an exercise and work-out form it is unbelievably efficient, even though I have always found swimming brutal. It is basically people fighting for their survival in a pool of water and the main goal is not to drown. Maybe that is the reason it is so efficient. It is challenge in its most primordial form. But good luck on your profession! smilie

Well.. let us remember that having extra money in this money-based society of mankind is never a bad thing. And I strongly suggest that you keep this vacany at least as a part-time job when you're studying in college etc.

I start my courses next year at 14, and I'll be working at 16, to be a lifeguard.
It pays really well, you start off with 14.20$/hour. And I already do competitive swimming so the courses won't be difficult at all.

Also good luck! ^.^

I'm thinking about using the money to help paye for college. I'm not actually sure when to stop. Somewhere between 18 and 22.
I have June lessons ($70) and July ($70)
So I'll have over a thousand if I save (which I plan to)
