Oh look, TRU found a way to get rid of a bunch of clearance merchandise that won't even move on their "Green" 70% off clearance. I guess they figure it's better to give out merchandise they can't move now, rather than give a pre-order bonus they won't be able to get rid of next year (LC Hex). That's forward looking thinking there, I tell you.

I'd love that life-sized Skylander though, he'd fit in well with my Skylander room. I just hope it doesn't end up in the hands of an adult who's more interested in cash than a spectacular item for their collection.

That was my first thought, if these are being handed out the day you pickup your preorder it's going to just be random items off the shelves of the current store I feel, which is a good way of them to get rid of leftover items. I think i am going to go with target this time around so far, preorder that gives you an item and i get 5% with my redcard.

A boomer, rare variant or darklight would be amazing, but I seriously see this being leftover series 1 and series 2 (none swap) and SSA Triples/Giants Triples.

I haven't seen a reason to go with anything other than Best Buy yet, with my 20% Gamer's Club discount. A grab bag of clearance crap from TRU isn't gonna do it for me for full price.

I'll wait until mid September to see if anyone drops a big time pre-order bonus or has a really good launch sale planned.

The exact wording on the Target pre-order card says you get "Outlaw Brawl and Chain". This makes me wonder if he's some sort of alternate form or costume. Like maybe Brawl and Chain can be captured in the game, but the Target pre-order is the only way to get the "outlaw" version?

If this is true, it makes an interesting opportunity for the games, adding in variant villains in addition to the already existing variant figures and characters.

I agree. It's worded as "Outlaw Brawl and Chain Villian", so it sounds like Outlaw is a variant prefix.
Plus i don't think they'd unique create art, animation, and a moveset for a villian that's only available from one retailer as a preorder. A unique palette swap seems more likely.

They may sound similar, but they don't rhyme. In order for that to happen, it would have to be "braw" to rhyme with "law". The "L" sound at the end of Brawl causes them to not rhyme.
