Week 1: Let the Games Begin
Shibuya, Scramble Crossing
Day 0
The normally busy streets of Shibuya are eerily quiet and void of life. A few papers blow across the street in the light wind. 14 individuals slowly wake up, lying in the middle of Scramble Crossing and look around.
"Where are we?" Cynderluv asks, confused and a little scared.
"In a city, duh." Bash says naively.
"Woah! It looks like we're in Japan!" Ninpire shouts out excitedly.
"I don't know!!! One moment I was at home asleep in bed, then I wake up here!!!" weebbby cries out franticly.
Angel stands up and looks around, a look of almost terror upon her face. "It... It can't be..."
"What is it?" Sky asks, concerned by Angel's look.
"We're in Shibuya." Angel replies.
"Are you sure?" Ash asks.
"Yes, I've been here before. In a situation just like this. It wasn't good."
"What happened?" BrutalBash asks.
"I had to participate in a horrible event called 'The Reaper's Game', where it was a battle just to live. The premise is that those on the verge of death have to give up what they hold most dear to play then have to compete for 7 days. If they survive to the end, they get to come back to life." Angel explained.
The others stand around, unable to imagine the horrors that would go on in such event.
"Though things are different this time. I know I was perfectly fine before coming here. Something's off."
"Hey! Look what I found!" Bash says, gleefully holding up an envelope labeled as "Dear Players".
"Give me that." Kardonis snatches the envelope and opens it up; reading it aloud.
"You may be wondering what is happening, well, you are currently in Shibuya's Underground, home to The Reaper's Game in which you will be participating in. However, I have altered the rules a little.
-Though a game partner is not required, it is still advised.
-Challenges will be timed with the marker appearing on your hand.
-Unlike normal, your entry fee was your lives.
-Challenges will be messeged to you each day on your phones.
-Otherwise, things are the same. Survive for the duration of the game and your ability to live will be returned allowing you to go home and return to your normal, every day lives.
Signed,
The Game Master"
"Mommy says I can't have a phone until I get older." Bash says.
"Then we can read ours to you." Kardonis rolls his eyes.
"But why are we here?" ShadowMew wonders.
"I don't know, but it seems we don't have a choice. Play to win back our lives." Angel says.
The 14 of them pair among into teams of two, taking the advice of the letter and await their first challenge as Players in The Reaper's Game.
