Close, but the S2 figures are supposed to relate to their Wow-Pow not Soul Gem. S2 Trigger Happy has his mini-gun because his Wow-Pow is the fire upgrade for his mini-gun, S2 Spyro has red wings because his wow-pow changes his appearance to give him the red wings, S2 Drobot has a gear on his tail because his wow-pow is an upgraded version of his gear attack.
But, this doesn't mean that S3 Sproket won't be in a tank - if her wow-pow is to do with her tank then I see no reason why not to put her in her tank. |

Chop Chop's wow-pow was an upgrade for his shield, which is why he's holding it in front of him in his S2 pose. |

...It's difficult to represent Ignitor's wow-pow, I'll give you that - but the common theme in the S2 poses have something to do with their wow-pow. All of them also represent the design changes when they reach this upgrade; and since the wow-pow is the final upgrade that also includes the design change included with their soul gem.

Her series 2 pose? I don't have S2 Stealth Elf myself but I always thought that her wow-pow changed her blades and her figures includes these new blades.
Edit: NM, I think this is just another example of an upgrade that was difficult to capture in the form of a figure. |

Whirlwind's Figure's horn is Gold then fades into Magenta. Her Wow Pow gives her a rainbow horn.

Yes, it's not exactly identical, but the intention is still there. Her horn only changes colour because of the wow-pow, it was probably cheaper and easier to use 2 colours rather than 7 - especially since the size of each section of colour would have probably been very small and therefore a higher level of precision would be required.

Yep. They can't fit yellow and green and magenta and blue, etc. onto her horn without it looking splatter-painted!

But they couldn't exactly have the fire upgrade for the S2 pose. The S2 pose is meant to represent or have a link to their wow-pow - not be exactly identical to their wow-pow. |

S2 Zap has the red tanks from his wowpow, the rest I think the goal was to have the skylanders figures represent the characters overall possible end look. Thats why s2 prism break has the crystal armor, gill grunt has both the upgraded water pack and harpoon, terrafin the hand knuckles, slam bam armor, bash armor, lightning rod has his wowpow hand bracers, etc
