I question though what the original purpose of that Crash poster was. A planned game that was scrapped? Something created just for fun? It was apparently important enough for them to pull it from the internet after publishing it, so....dare I say we could see Crash being included in the lineup for the Core Skylanders in Swap Force?
With about 14 characters left to reveal for the Core figures, anything is possible right? Having Crash included would be something you whip out to generate a ton of hype..something like that would be perfect to show off at E3.
I've heard a couple of times that VV confirmed Crash won't be a Skylander. I don't have the source on me, but I do recall reading about it.
I doubt that said poster was related to anything but a reboot. Vicarious formerly had two multiplatform projects called Project Atlantis and Project Phoenix under construction. There was also a Project Nova which I believe was finished but I don't know which game it actually ended up being. With the similar time the poster was in the building it's more than likely that this was going to be Crash's comeback.
Man, this and Rayman getting delayed to September... February is already killing my mood...
Edit:
Project Atlantis: PS3, XBox 360
Project Nova: PS3, XBox 360, Wii U (Safe to assume that this is Swap Force?)
Project Phoenix: PS3, XBox 360, Wii
I think it's safe to say at least Phoenix is dead(ironically). I don't expect Wii support to continue beyond early, maybe mid next year, especially not for what's presumably a new game, and they can't possibly get it out that soon with literally everything of theirs being devoted to Skylanders now. The only other explanation is that these projects are just on hiatus, which would be odd, because I'd expect them to be planning everything for Skylanders 5 same as Swap Force next year.
