That was the same Tree Rex that was on display at NYCC. It really is a nice build. If you didn't get a chance to go, I'll see if I can find the pics of it next to the Jet-Vac they built.

How do you know about the glitter Sprocket? If an employee told you that, I'd be hesitant to believe them. I go to that store at least twice a week, and have NEVER seen a Skylanders variant there, and I usually go at opening. I definitely think there is some back room shenanigans going on. And if it's not an employee getting to them first, it's definitely one of the many scalpers that start lining up at 9am for the 10am opening. Most of them will buy anything that can be flipped. I knew of one guy who bought every WhamShell he could find every day. They eventually restricted him from buying them.

Certain employees that unpack boxes see them, others don't.

Hello friend! I moderate this topic and can answer your questions.

1. I constantly update the first post with new information. All the sets from 2012, as well as the rumored 2013 sets, are listed.
2. The hat is molded and cannot be removed. This is because they would have to make different sized hats for everybody. Also your Skylanders would all have holes in their heads! Not cool.
3. Brad from Mega Bloks posted a picture last year of some new sets but censored it when he realized his mistake.

The picture seemingly included sets with Thumpback and a battle arcade with Zook/Hot Dog. I think Matteomax saw the picture as well before it was edited.

Let me know if you have anymore questions! Keep your eyes on the first page for new information.

Ah cool, thanks. I'm not too familiar with the game see, but what's the deal with them being Legendary? Are they different characters to the normal versions?

^ Spyro, Chop Chop, Bash, Trigger Happy, Jet-Vac, Ignitor, Slam Bam, Stealth Elf, Bouncer, LightCore Chill, and Stealth Elf all have Legendaries.
The reason is money, but the reason they have a Legendary variant is;
They probably have a Player vs. Player match with two veteran employees at Activision, and sculpt a Legendary out of them.

And they have slightly boosted stats, and one or two attacks may look different.

I spotted these today at a Toy Fair in the UK, no idea when they are due out:

Since Toy Fair NY starts this weekend, hopefully we'll see pics of what to expect for the rest of the year.

Brad, I'm assuming that MB will be launching some Swap Force sets around the Launch Date of the new game? The "swapping" concept would translate nicely into the MB mini figures in my opinion.

The Skylander Swap Force has us excited about Skylanders again so we picked up Dark Spyro and the Arcade pack.

I'm not a fan of the GID Swarm (The only Skylander we don't have), I wonder if a regular version of him will ever become available.

^ Haha I've been trolling the web all day trying to find a site that photographed the MB booth, I haven't found any either. Figures.com has a placeholder in there photo gallery, but haven't uploaded any yet, I refresh it every now and then to see if they've updated.

I caved and finally picked up the GID Swarm set, it's not as bad as I had thought. I also found the Legendary 3 packs at TRU, so I'm caught up on everything that's currently available. My kids love being able to have Skylanders that can move and can play with.

MB have stated that no photos are to be taken at their booth until tomorrow so I don't know how you got them big_matt!
One guy on twitter is even claiming to have been thrown out the MB showroom, and then have his camera taken so that all the pictures were deleted by MB staff D:
