Eh. That's a pretty minor paint mistake. After all, there's bound to be some. One of my Dark Spyro figures has his eyes spread apart in a very derpy look.

I guess what would constitute more of a variant is something physically different, like missing a part of the sculpt, something put on wrong or missing, or being in the wrong box.

If he's still there, i might get him.


He's really dark.

I wouldn't buy it. The Stump Smash's where I live are painted mostly light green, so this one looks fine too me.

My Camo has a mispainted eye.

i am also very picky about paint jobs, if you ask me i could do better then anyone who paints these.

Sure, go for it. It's not like it's a HUGE investment or something. And it's not like Skylanders are large and you're going to have a lot of trouble storing it. A simple nail in the wall and it's easily hung up and out of the way. If it's not going to be a financial set back, why not? Just don't expect to sell it for big profits, get it because it's cool and different.

some guy found a bash with his eye on his cheek. ive seen a drill sergeant with eye all the way on his drills, eye walked away, no way are the really bad quality ones even meeting dollar tree criteria.

I've had a Zap with some unpainted right scales since Wave 3, from the Triple. Still sealed. I doubt it'll go for much though with all the mistakes popping up lately...

My has a big blotch of green paint on his neck

Just thought I should post this; kind of cool.

I went to Target today and spotted a Stumpy who had a very bright green coloring on him. It looks to me like the places the paint..machine or whatever was supposed to give him a quick spray for effect (like a real light covering), it instead messed up and made bright green spots on him.

Kinda cool but I passed it up in favor of the Kyurem box set lawl

EDIT: Oh! Looks like the pic I took came out alright.

My Lightning Rod has a big splodge of yellow near his lightning bolt on his arm.

That's a very minor paint error compared to what I've seen. I have a Wrecking Ball (from the Frito-Lay game-line) that has white from his eye splattered all around its face and its teeth are only painted at the very tips with smudge marks. I don't mind these flaws because I already have a Wrecking Ball and I decided to re-paint and customize this one.

Wow is all I have to say.

that would've been a cool variant.

^ Maybe you're right, I probably should have taken a picture of it before I started repainting it but it's too late, unfortunately. Its eyes looked like they were drooping or melting because of the green paint ( I meant to say green and not 'white' paint in my last post) but the teeth just looked like a really poorly done paint job.

huh. still sounds cool . from how you just described it makes it seem like one of those gitd ones, how they look like they are melting. maybe it was supposed to be gitd.

^ No it wasn't gitd but you gave me an idea =). I'm going to find a creative way to repaint some parts with gitd paint (not the whole body but maybe just its eyes, mouth and the things on its head). Thanks for inspiring my idea; I think I'll have fun painting him =).

Kind of interesting and still slightly related but I went to a Walmart in a different city than the one I found the Stumpy in Target at....and to my surprise I found a bunch of them with that exact same heavy green color.

Wonder if it was a large batch mistake or what.

maybe they wanted variety and wanted people to buy more stumpies (its possible they have unpainted stumpies that werent sold and were like "eh, what the heck")

The worst painted Skylander I ever saw was a Dino-Rang with an extra pupil in his eye, and the black paint in between his scales was overflowing.. Ugh...

yes cause another stumpy hording session where stump smash is scarce in the stores

Every single store I go to now has these badly painted Stump Smashes. Hardly ever do I see a regular one except for the 3-packs. Must be a new way they are producing them.

i'd say no, these arent really variants. remember, no two shades are EXACTLY alike, so my logic is if you're gonna buy a
"bps" might as well buy every single stump smash you come across, or buy two boomers and scratch off the gunpowder on one.

well, i just think its such a CRAZY different shade of green, like bright green to dark green. i think it looks kinda cool.

my point is, you should just buy variants. not so called "variants" that were made probably because they ran out of the exact green in the factory OR its cheaper, you know activision.
