The Pokemie FINALLY came around, and boy was it angry. "We had better test this quick, or we'll have it breaking through the bars. Quick, inject it with the elixir!" exclaimed Historius. Conner swiftly injected the wild creature. It then began to change. It was changing from it's wild self to a more calm nature. In a minute or two, it was back to a standard Pokémon, a Buneary to be exact. "What happened? I felt some crazy untamed thing leave me. Can you help me get back to my family?", she asked. Historius and Conner were ecstatic. We did it! We made a perfectly working elixir! Now comes the terribly hard part: How will we cure all of the Pokemies?" Historius exclaimed and questioned. "I don't know, but we are a step ahead of this virus now." Conner said cheerily.

Cameron led the three travelers to the store where they could find the expert belts. A mienshao was standing behind the stall, wearing an expert belt himself. "Excuse me, Alex," Cameron said politely. "We need four expert belts for our journey." The mienshao came around the counter and replied, "Finally taking off, are you? I figured that this day would come soon enough, you always looked like a traveler."

The Group slowly sneaked around the horde of Pokemies, taking each step carefully. any loud sound would attract all of them and they'd be done for.

While Soul and Heart took careful steps, Crystal looked around frantically for anything that could help them out. then she found a basket full of sports balls- basketballs, baseballs, and footballs. without thinking, she did the riskiest thing possible by pushing the cart to the other side.

Soul and Heart froze. they had terrified looks on their faces, as did Crystal. the cart started going across the room before it stopped on a ledge and fell over. all the sports balls fell out all over the other side of the room.

The Pokemies, listening to them, started to horde the area with the balls, thinking they were regular Pokémon.

Heart looked into the area they horded and saw an open door that led outside. their ticket out.

Carefully as possible, they made their way to the door. Each Pokémon took a careful step towards the opening in the wall and climbed up, only for Soul to trip and knock over a bunch of pens on a desk.

All the Pokemies looked in their direction and sneered.

"Crud, RUN!" yelled Heart.

"Yep, time for me to move on." Cameron said. "Do you have the belts?" Alex went back behind the counter and brought out four expert belts. "They're in high demand lately." He explained. He shook Cameron's hand and said, "We'll meet again."

Jackal flew around with anger, "This wasn't suppose to happen," he flew out over the haven wall, "Doesn't seem like any of them are left."

"Well with guards and Pokemon resisting at their front, and pokemie behind them," Bird followed Jack over the wall. Both flew high enough to keep out of range of ground to air attacks, "It's not entirely impossible."

Calia handed out one expert belt to everyone and put on her own. She wasn't used to traveling with so many pokemon yet, but she would get used to it. When she saw that everyone had their belts on, she headed back for the wooden platform.

The Group fantically ran as the Pokemies chased them out of the building. there must have been dozens of Pokemies chasing them. After getting out of the building, the Group could see New Angeles in sight.

"Quick, run to the city!" yelled Soul.

As soon as everyone was on the platform, Calia let go and they zipped through the forest, back to the tree from which they came. "Not again." Pete muttered.

Migx was helping his partner walk. He was still kind of weak after that. "Listen, I know we had a rough moment back there," Migx said. "But right now, I'm here for you. Sorry about what I said before." But as they were reaching the edge of the city, Migx could just barely make something out in the distance. There were Pokemon running towards New Angeles. They were way too fast to be Pokemies. But Migx didn't think much off it, he was still trying to carry Vern into the city. ...But Vern wasn't exactly light, and Migx, despite his lower body support, wasn't exactly strong. Yeah, stronger than most Bibarel, but still not all THAT strong. Migx was struggling to get Vern in the city.

As the four stopped at the tree from which they had come. As Pete stepped off, he laid down on the branch, trying not to be sick. "Next time I'm climbing down the tree." He said.

OOC: MugoUrth, do you mind if my characters meet yours?

OOC: Not only don't I mind, I encourage it.

Calia laughed and helped him up. "Where should we go next?" Pete asked, a little groggily. Calia had a map of the safe havens, and spread it out on the tree. "Let's find out.." She said.

The group kept running when they noticed two Pokémon walking towards the city. Soul noticed they were running in their direction, and one of the Pokémon looked injured.

"Heart, Crystal, those Pokémon need help!" yelled Soul.
Crystal noticed the two Pokémon. "How do we know if they're travelers and not Outskirters or Bandits?"
"Bandits wouldn't walk out in the open like that, and if they were Outskirters, they don't know about your imunity yet. We can't just leave them while the Pokemie horde is chasing us!"

Then Soul grabbed a lead pipe from the ground and started banging on the ground. "HEY, SKUNKBREATHS!" he yelled. then all the Pokemies turned towards him.

"...oh crud." Soul started running towards the entrance of the city. "Go help those Pokémon! The SEP can help me with this!" Soul yelled to his friends.

"Be careful, Soul!" yelled Heart, as Soul ran as fast as he could over the cliffs and towards the entrance.

"C'mon, Crystal, let's help those two." said Heart, as the two ran towards the other Pokémon. as they got closer, they could make out a Bibarel carrying a Drowzee to the city.

Migx saw the other Pokemon coming towards them. A Dewott and an Eevee. Migx didn't think they looked very strong either, but any help was better than none. "Uhhh yes? Hello?" He asked. "I'm trying to get my friend to safety, but I'm kind of struggling to carry him by myself. You..." Then he realized something. "You're a dewott, right? Do you have any Water type moves? Maybe you could help hydrate my friend, Vern." Migx held his friend in front of the group. "Just don't spray too hard." Vern started to look around. He was regaining consciousness, but not quickly enough. "Who... who are they?" he asked.

"Heart, try to suppress your Hydro Pump! quick!" said Crystal.
"Right!" Heart quickly used a suppressed Hydro Pump on the injured Drowzee, apparently named Vern. The Drowzee started gaining conseousness.

"Bleugh! Hack! Cough! What was THAT for!?" Vern cried out. Migx wrapped his arms around Vern, happy he had regained his senses. "Vern! Thank goodness you're alright!" he said happily. ...But it wasn't all happiness. "Get your hideous oversized paws off of me, Migx!" Vern cried, breaking free from his grip. "You think I'm not still mad at you?" Migx put a paw to his face, kind of embarassed to be around Vern. "Vern, would I be here if I didn't care about you as a friend? I came to help regardless of what happened. Plus, maybe you should show some respect to those two, they helped save your life too." Vern shook his head, still kind of peeved. "I'm Vern, and he is "Emperor Migx his Pawfulness," as if anyone gives a cent." Migx walked forward toward Vern. "I said I was sorry, what do I have to do?" Vern just turned around and started toward the city. "Hmmmm... Whatever," he said. "Just don't make another comment about my friends again, okay?" Migx shrugged at his comment. "I'm sorry," he said before turning back to Heart and Crystal. "By the way, my name is Migx. Me and Vern got into a fight earlier, and he's still kind of cross right now."

"I see." said Heart to Migx. "My name is Heart. this is Crystal. look, we can't talk right now, there's a horde of Pokemies moving towards New Angeles and they're chasing after our friend Soul! we need help to save him!"

Migx looked over to Vern. "Hey! Maybe we could help!" Vern stops in his tracks. He started to scratch his chin. Even though his friends died to the Pokemies, it was his father that caused him to die. He then turned around and walked to the group. "Yeah, I suppose we can," he said.

"Quick, they went this way!" said Crystal. then the Pokémon ran to the entrance.

Meanwhile...

Soul was starting to lose his breath. he wasn't sure how much he could keep this up. why hadn't the SEP done anything yet? surely they would've helped him by now.

Then Soul realized. New Angeles's main way of protection was its steel 10 story walls. no Pokemie could possibly get through that. the SEP didn't have to worry about Pokemies anywhere except near the entrance.

Soul kept running towards the entrance, slowing down with every step.

Please get here, guys, he thought.

Migx eventually saw another Pokemon near the entrance, a Pikachu. "I have a feeling you know that Pokemon," Migx said. Vern shook his head. "Yeah, I think that's a redundant question. But where are the Pokemies?" Vern looked in another direction, and there they were, heading toward the city. "If we can get inside the city, we should be safe," Vern said. "We have to protect Soul as well."

Soul could see the entrance opening up. the SEP had seen Soul and the other Pokémon after all!

"SOUL!" yelled Crystal. Soul quickly glanced over and saw Heart, Crystal, and the two Pokémon they went to help.

"QUICK! THE GATE IS OPEN!" Soul screamed. He jumped into the entrance, with the Pokemies close behind them.

"We have to get there, quick!" Heart said to the other Pokémon.

"Yeah, don't trip over your big feet, Migx," Vern said as he ran inside. Migx groaned at the dive. He was kind of insulted. "Let's not make a theme out of that," Migx replied as he ran in as well.

The Pokemies were gaining on the entrance. the Pokémon jumped as far as they could as the door closed right before everyone was inside.

"You alright?" asked an SEP soldier.
"Yeah, we're good." said Soul. The SEP then went back to their posts.

"Soul!" Crystal shouted as she tackled Soul. "Thank Arceus you're okay!"
"Heart walked to his friend. "Don't ever do something stupid like that again."
"Hey, I wouldn't be me if I wasn't doing things like that," Soul said. Heart smiled.

Soul then looked over to the two Pokémon he sent his friends to help. "Who are you guys?" he asked nicely.

Migx stuttered a bit. "Well... Long story short, I am Migx and he's Vern. We became friends shortly after the infestation, and used to reside at the plantation, but Vern wanted to come here because... What was it again?" Vern tilted his head. "We came here to get away from the Pokemies, Migx," he said. "And why are you so nervous right now? People are going to think you're hiding something." Migx put his fingers together. "Well actually, I'm kind of nervous about you, Vern. We got in a fight earlier and you still seem to be mad about it. Making me a bit jumpy to be honest."

"Don't worry about it. seems to me like you guys are travelers." said Soul to Migx and Vern. "My name's Soul. you probably already know Heart and Crystal. We came up to New Angeles to get more supplies. Heart and I have been friends since the infestation, but we got to know Crystal not too long ago. we still rely on each other every day as if we were family though."

Crystal was looking at the map of New Angeles. "Anybody up for some food? there's a restaurant nearby."

"Okay, but..." Migx started. 'We... don't have any money." Migx didn't have much else to say, but Vern started walking to the restaurant anyway.

OOC: Gonna be gone for a few days.

"Don't worry, we got plenty of cash right now." said Heart. "It's on us."

OOC: alright.

After Conner and Historius calmed down the Buneary, they started strategizing. "Okay, we have enough for few more elixirs, but we need a way to easily distribute it. What should we do?", Conner asked. "Well, I was thinking we could make this potion a spray.", Historius answered. Conner asked, "How can we make a spray out of this?". "Simple, we get a spray bottle, a huge one, but small enough to hold, and we stick our elixir in there. Simple, yes?", Historius answered again. So, they found the biggest spray bottle they could find, mixed up all of the elixirs, and poured it into the bottle. "Perfect! We are ready to combat the disease! But we need plenty of supplies. We can get the berries, but I am not sure about the others..." Historius exclaimed. "Don't worry. While I am out combating the disease, I can gather more ingredients. It will be fine. Oh, I can also bring the Pokémon I transformed back to Survival Pockets! Isn't that a smart idea?", Conner said excitedly. Historius answered wisely, "Very smart indeed. I will send you out tomorrow. And remember: That elixir will be useless in a month, so come back every so often to mix up another batch. I will prepare you a pack with food and money. Do well Conner.". He left to get supplies.

"Well, it's decided." Emily said cheerfully. "We're off to New Angeles!"

"Oh," Migx smiled. "Well that's good. I didn't think you'd treat someone you just met to dinner." Migx walked to the restaurant with the others.

Cameron helped Emily down from the tree and waited for the others to climb down.

Soul grabbed Heart just as Migx, Vern, and Crystal went inside the restaurant. "Heart, are you sure we should do this?" He said quietly to him. "We just met these Pokémon, and we need most of our money for supplies."

"I'm sure," said Heart, "I want to make sure that Vern is ok after what had happened to him. besides, if we couldn't trust them, they'd do something by now, and if they did, we could easily take them on. there isn't much good left in the world, Soul. we have to try to keep what good is left and use it the most we can."

Soul thought for a moment. "Alright," he said, "You're the smart one. But this better not backfire later. We only have 10,000P left, and things are seriously expensive nowadays." He headed inside the restaurant with Heart.

As the four left the forest, many flying and tree dwelling pokemon waved goodbye. Calia took the lead, with the other three following behind. Pete pulled Cameron and Emily over and said, "I thought that I'd let you know that Calia's immune to the virus." He said.

Vern kept eyeballing Migx as he was looking through a menu. "Order small," Vern said in a disgruntled tone. Vern had a feeling that Migx would order a huge meal for himself. He didn't have an easy time realizing when he was being selfish, so Vern tried to help. "Order small," Vern grunted once more, hoping Migx would take a hint without drawing too much attention. ...But it was no use. Eventually, Migx put his menu down and blurted out "Three house burgers and a large order of fries!" Vern slammed his head into the table. "Noooooooo..." he said in an even more disgruntled tone. The "House Burger" was the most expensive burger on the menu, and he ordered THREE of them. After the slam, Migx looked down at Vern. "Are you okay?" he asked. Vern slowly tilted his head up at Migx. "Do you care about anyone other than yourself? And in very rare cases, me?"

"She's immune!" Emily whispered with surprise. "Yep." Pete replied. "I don't know how it happened, but it's true."

OOC: well crap, sorry guys, been off too often... Ok, but I'm back nows.

Jackal groaned, "Yeah, I guess... We should still check the city itself," he looked back, "Could be something useful."

Bird nodded, "Yeah," he felt his stomach sink a bit, Another raid, without back up...

Emily said nothing after that and walked a little bit ahead of Pete. Cameron walked beside Pete and whispered, gesturing to Calia. "Now, I'm no expert on these kind of things, but I think you like her." Pete went beat red and replied, "W..well, maybe a little." Then he paused before adding, "And don't you dare tell her." Cameron quickly replied, "No, I won't, but you should."

Jackal and Bird flew lower and away from the attacked area of the haven, "We'll try somewhere that isn't so crowded," the two flew to the right around to find a less concentrated area to get in quietly or quieter. They found one area that had few Pokemon within its vicinity, "Looks like a good spot, just give it a quick run by. Look panicked, make anyone there think you're running."

Bird gulped quietly to himself, "Yeah, ok." he flew back off toward the fight a little. With a good distance from the desired area, he zoomed back by, close to the wall, view any Pokemon in the area. With a frantic cry of disarray, he flew by and continued for a few seconds afterward before diving into the trees. Another moment or so, he popped back up by Jackal, "Just a few families, I think, but no guards."

OOC: I may have an update later this week, im not sure yet. also, I may get rid of the option of being an SEP soldier since no one seems to choose it and I need more room on the first post.

Heart came in just as Migx ordered those five burgers. "Woah, it's alright." he said, "we'll just cancel the order. it's not to big a deal." Heart looked over the menu. "I'd like 5 medium burger meals please. if you guys are alright with that."

"I'm game." said Soul.
"Sounds good to me." said Crystal.
"You guys cool with that?" Heart asked Migx and Vern.

"Yes, one Medium burger for each of us," Vern said. "That should be enough to satisfy all of us. Right, Migx!?" Migx looked down at his tummy as it growled. "Can I have one more?" he asked. Vern facepalmed himself. "Migx, need I remind you that no one is made of money these days. Show a little respect!" Migx shrugged. "Fine, ONE Medium burger it is."

The group bought the meals for everyone. It cost them 2,000P to get it.

"Heart, you sure we'll still have enough for supplies?" asked Soul, "I mean, we've never been here before. we have no clue what the prices are here. we could be spending all our money on only a few things for all we know."

"Soul, just quit worrying" said Heart, "We'll be fine." The Pokémon sat down at one of the booths.

"So, where do you guys come from?" Crystal asked Migx and Vern.

Vern just turned his head, not wanting to say anything, so Migx started first.

"Well, if you hadn't noticed, I was born with abnormally large paws, and a really small tail, which turned me into a pretty lousy swimmer. I guess I managed to avoid the virus cause I avoided the water. And Vern here, he... ummm... He doesn't like to mention his past."

Vern stayed silent for a while but eventually spoke up. "My father was a vicious serial killer," he started. "My father put all my friends to sleep and fed them to zombies. I wanted to get away from that crazy baku, as far away as I could. And for all I know, he could still be out there. And he may just come for me, next."

"We'd better find New Angeles quick." Cameron said. "My supplies won't last us forever."

Conner set out, spraying any Pokemie that got in his way. He told the Pokemon to follow, and dropped them off at the nearest survival pocket. He set out, getting more supplies.

Well, I was also here before the virus, but I was very young." said Heart. "I lived with my brother in a Survival Pocket until it got overrun with bandits, and he got killed. I found Soul's family living in Labyrinth."

"I was born the year the virus spread," said Soul, "My family took care of me in Labyrinth, and soon found Heart. My parents died only yesterday." Soul wasn't in the mood for talking. he didn't want to mention his recently deceased parents. Plus, he was thinking of something that he feared might put something together.

"As for Cryst---" Heart immediately stopped. he remembered she was immune, and had to think of some lie quick. before they suspected something. he didn't want anyone to know Crystal was immune.

"...As for Crystal, we found her in Labyrinth as well." Heart fibbed. "She was born with a disorder, so she has to wear that brace on her leg. her parents died a while after she was born, so we took care of her. isn't that right, Crystal?"

Crystal knew immediately. "Yep, been like a family ever since." said Crystal.

Migx and Vern both looked at Heart during the pause, but thought little of it. Eventually, their meals came. Migx wasted no time eating his burger, but Vern took it slow. "So what do you guys plan on doing next after we're done eating?" he asked them.

OOC: I want to bring in Varmy soon, for some reason. Do I need to make another sign-up for him?

OOC: as in character sheet for him? yes, so that everyone knows exactly what he can do.

"Well, we were going to the market to buy some supplies, then maybe stay in town for a while, see what's here since we haven't been here before." said Heart, eating his burger. "What about..." Heart noticed Soul wasn't eating. "Soul, what's wrong?"

Soulwas zoning out, his ears shaking. he wasn't sure what it was, but he could hear a faint beeping. he was trying to figure out where it was coming from. in the area, he also heard faint footsteps. He was trying to see if both connected in any way. when he heard Heart, he got out of zoning out and came back to his senses. "Oh, nothing." said Soul. "it's just... nothing." Soul started eating.

Heart looked at him funny. Something's wrong, I guarantee it. He didn't want to freak out Crystal, Migx, or Vern, so he kept cool for the moment. "Anyways, as I was saying, what are you guys doing afterward?"

history: Who is this strange Hypno? At first, he was Vern's father, but eventually Vern wanted nothing do with him. Know why? Varmy was never right in the head. Varmy always had a fetish to watch things die. As well, Varmy never liked being a Hypno, so he always dressed up like a Drowzee. In short, his mind cracked somewhere down the road. Nothing is known of this except it's possible he is infected with the virus, but not entirely. However, this theory has no proof, and makes it hard to explain how he helped birth a normal son like Vern. Maybe he was just born slightly coo-coo.
personality: Let's see... Likes to watch things die, didn't enjoy growing up, no moral compass, anti-social, etc. Just a few of the things that describe Varmy. And yet, he's not evil. Evil would imply that he KNOWS he's doing wrong, when in reality he doesn't, and possibly never will even if told by someone.
(optional) appearance: Varmy is one oddball Hypno. You can see almost none of the things that distinguish Hypnos except he holds a pendulum. He ALSO wears a large cloak that conceals his eyes and his back. He wears a mask with a spring-loaded trunk that looks like a Drowzee's nose. As well, he wears a relatively fat drowzee suit that sure as heck doesn't look natural.

Vern shrugged. "Actually, we only came to find other survivors," Vern said. "Migx and I both. We got lonely by ourselves at the plantation so I decided to come here. Migx wanted to say so he stayed put until he got worried about me and one thing lead to another, here we are."

Calia had no way to know how long it would take for them to get to New Angeles, but she knew that while they were still in the forest,Moshe could find a decent campsite in ones of these big trees.
