Pete curled up on the branch and dozed off as Calia watched the clearing and the surrounding area. Calia checked her bag. She had plenty of fresh water, and many berries to cure status problems. She had no berries to cure the virus, but she would do whatever it took to protect her best friend. Sometimes she wished she could give her immunity to Pete, but she knew she couldn't.

OOC: okay, i'm back. shroom boom, I will accept you once you get a location to start in, so notify me when you do so.

also, DAY 2 IS APPROACHING SOON! I will start Day 2 in two days, i'm not sure exactly when, but I WILL POST A NOTIFICATION OF WHEN DAY 2 COMES. so, remember that your stories must progress to night soon. If not, you'll have to make some sort of jump in your story to keep up.

Crystal decided to wait outside of the cemetery for Soul and Heart. she thought that this was their business, and she shouldn't interfere. plus, she didn't need a reminder of what had happened to her mother.

Crystal looked up at the sky. the sunset was out, so she could tell night was falling.

With nothing to do, she wondered what life must've been like before the apocalypse. she had read stories by scribes in the Pocket that the world used to be a thriving planet, with Pokémon not having to worry about BR-97. Everyone lived a happy life. Pokémon had families, jobs, government, economy, trade, and many other things that had either been long forgotten by society now or implemented in another way. Heart once told Crystal that as a kid, He saw Pokémon just being normal.

Must've been nice, thought Crystal.

Migx was following Vern out to New Angeles, trying to apologize for his comment. "Vern, please. I'm sorry. I know I should not have gone there, but... but I... uhhh..." Vern was kind of pissed. "That's right, you had no reason to!" he shouted. "You just said the first thing that popped inside your head, and now it cost you! Why don't you go back to that stupid plantation? I don't want to talk with you right now!" Vern stormed off, hoping to get as far away from Migx as possible. "But I... I'M SORRY!" Migx called out to no avail. Vern was intent on leaving him behind. "Fine. Be that way. I don't need him. I'll go back to the plantation and find someone else to be my friend. And maybe that person would be more intent on referring to Migx his pawfulness." Migx decided to go back to the Plantation and rest where he left his water overnight.

Vern struggled to get to New Angeles, wandering all night. He may or may not get there soon. And regardless, he was fodder for bandits without Migx by his side. But Vern was still angry, and that was his only drive.

Calia was starting to drift off as the sun slowly began to set behind the trees. She had just closed her eyes when a loud rustling snapped her back to her senses. She looked down and saw Pete hadn't moved. She looked up and saw a poochyena standing on a rather flimsy looking branch, clinging on for dear life. She knew it wasn't a pokemie, as it didn't have "that awful pokemie stench" that Pete kept complaining about. "S..s..sorry," the poochyena said. "I fell off of a bigger branch." Calia smiled and said, "Here, let me help you down." She climbed up onto the branch below where the poochyena was clutching, trembling in fear. "Can you jump?" Calia whispered. The poochyena shook her head and gestured to where the branch was cracking. Calia made a daring decision and leaped up on the branch. She grabbed the poochyena by the scruff of her neck and leaped down to the branch where she had been resting above Pete. Pete woke up, startled by the noise, and hit his head on the trunk. He rubbed his head and muttered, "I wasn't ready for a wake up call, Calia." He turned around and saw the poochyena dangling in front of him. He jumped in surprise and hit his head on another branch. The poochyena chuckled as she was slowly lowered onto another branch. Pete grumbled as he got up again and said, "Calia, next time we're having company, wake me up before hand."

Night was approaching, and Conner was exhausted. He was dashing all the way home, and did not get there in time before nightfall. He decided to sleep for the night. He started no fire, and only slept in his sleeping bag, clutching the ingredients tight

Calia jumped down and said to Pete, "Sorry, I probably should have woken you up before hand." She then looked at the poochyena. "You never told us your name." Calia said. "Oh yes," the poochyena replied. "My name is Emily."

Jackal shot down to the river before Bird could get low enough to search the area, "You do not have a say in what I am thinking," a pokemie zoobat charged in after Jackal who was tackled by the quick creature. The both dropped into into the water bellow, with a soft splash. Bird angerly looked down before grunting to himself and diving down toward the water.

Bird's wings gave off a light gray glow as he wash charging in with a wing attack at the ready. Quickly taking the sash off and dropping it to the bank as he burst into the water at what he saw was a thin winged Pokemon, small on form, but was accompanied by a larger figure next to it. Slashing through the water, he attack was on target. The attack forced the two apart, and Bird used his talons to grab Jackal's leg. Flapping the water, he managed to surface for a breath. Pulling himself onto the bank, he heaved the unconscious farfetch'd onto the shoreline. The sky seemed darker from here, the sun must be setting.

Bird picked Jackal off the dirt and carried him to a cliff like rock close enough to a tree he could climb into with the un-moving form on his back. Retrieving his sash of items, he returned to the tree to bring Jackal higher, but was un able to get very high since he had tired himself out.

@shroom boom- I know I told you about where to start, but you still have to put it at your post with your characters so people know where you started. and no offense, but please use better grammar when posting your story.

Soul looked over his deceased parents. Tears were streaming down his eyes.

I'm sorry i couldn't be here, Soul thought.

With one last look, he watched as the funeral home owners closed the coffins and put them in the ground.

Heart went up next to his friend. "They're in a better place now, Soul."
"I know, Heart, I know..."

Soul looked up at the sky. he hadn't realized how late it had gotten. the sun was setting in the distance.

"We should sleep here for the night," said Soul. "Let's get Crystal and head over to my parents' old house."

Later, at Soul's childhood home....

Soul was sleeping in his parents' old bed that night. Heart had volunteered to sleep on the couch and let Crystal sleep in Soul's old bed.

Soul had wondered how the SEP was doing against the Pokemie horde. He had to talk to Platinum and ask about what was going on.

I'll save that for morning, Soul thought, realizing how exhausted he was.

with his vision getting blurry, he fell asleep.

History: When Emily was very little, her parents took her far away from her home to be safe from the virus. They lived a happy life in the wilderness for many years until a group of bandits moved to the area. They killed her father, and she and her mother fled. Not long after, her mother was turned into a pokemie, as she was not immune to the virus. For the past few days, she has been living on pure instinct, hiding from others, and hoping that someone will find and help her.

Pete watched as the sun dipped below the trees. "We need to get some sleep." He said, curling back up on the branch. Calia looked at Emily. "Don't you have a place to stay where it's safe?" She asked. Emily shook her head. Calia laid down on the branch and said, "Well, you can stay with us, I'm sure Pete won't mind." Emily smiled and laid next to Calia. "Thank you," she said. "I won't be a bother, I promise." "I'm sure you won't be." Calia said. She looked over and saw that Emily had fallen asleep. She laid her head on her paws and drifted off to sleep.

DAY TWO

Heart woke up. It took a moment, but he suddenly remembered everything that had happened yesterday. He got up from the couch and looked around.

It was just the same as ever. Soul's old home. The beds were sprawled next to each other in the corner, with the living room just across from it, where Heart laid in one of the couches. there was a small archway that had the kitchen, bathroom, and dining room, along with the entrance to the house. it wasn't much, but it was something.

Heart got up. he saw that Soul and Crystal were still sleeping, so he decided to go outside and see what had happened after the Pokemie horde. they were still here, so they must have been able to fend them off, but Heart wanted to see how Platinum was doing.

And when Heart looked outside, he gasped as he saw Platinum collapsed at the porch.

We now need to get out of this abandoned protection pocket we need more supplies lets go!

Pete woke up and stretched as the sun rose above the trees. He looked over and saw Calia still sleeping next to Emily, so he decided to wait for them to wake up when they were ready. He looked through Calia's bag and got out a bottle of fresh water. He sat down to drink his water and to wait for them to wake up so they could continue their travels.

Conner woke up, finding he was tied up by bandits. They were about to open the bag with the ingredients, when suddenly Historius jumped out and attacked them, just enough time for Conner to release his bonds. Conner chased them off. Conner asked Historius, "Where did you come from?". Historius answered, "You were only a few yards away from the haven. They were planning on invading it, so they brought you closer to the haven after they made you unconscious. I decided to attack after you came around. Good thing you got all of the ingredients, or else we wouldn't be able to make the rest of the elixir. Now come, let's go inside and finish that cure.". They went inside the doors, feeling new hope to stop the madness of the Virus.

Emily slowly opened her eyes and looked around. She saw Pete sitting on the branch with his water bottle, so she got up, stretched, and walked over. She sat next to Pete and asked, "Where'd you get that water?" "I'm parched." Pete smiled and replied, "Over there, in Calia's bag." "Thanks." Emily replied. She went over to Calia's bag and pulled out a water. She sat next to Pete once again and asked, "Is it okay if I come with you guys?" "Calia said it was okay, but..." Pete put a hand on her shoulder and said, "Of course you can, the more the merrier, right?"

Jackal had awoken to the sun in his eyes, "What?" he said softly, clearing his throat, "Where are we?" he sat up feeling a sharp pain in his head and wincing under it.

"Sorry, it was either a slight blow or turn," Bird turned to his re-awoken partner, "You are lucky it didn't night you right away."

"It was a zoobat, it probably didn't see me," Jackal looked up a little dazed from the hits of the night before, "My staff?"

"Lost in the water, if you took it in when you fell," Bird looked around the grassy ground below, "Eh don't see it near by. Could have gone down river, and if it did, it's gone then."

Jackal laid back down against the wood, "Great, absolutely perfect..."

Pete looked over at Emily and said, "We'd better wake Calia up," "Chances are, she'll want to get moving as soon as possible." Emily nodded and shook Calia to wake her up. Calia slowly opened her eyes and said, "Are you guys ready to go?" Pete chuckled and replied, "Right to business as usual, I see."

OOC: I just realized I had been spelling Labrynth wrong. It should be Labyrinth. don't correct it if you made that mistake, just call it by the right spelling from now on.

Heart got Soul and Crystal awake and brought Platinum inside. Apparently there had been another bandit attack and Platinum got hit. he tried to get to safety, as the other SEP soldiers were busy trying to hold the front line. In the end, the SEP won, but barely.

After Platinum was healed up, Soul asked the question that had been numbing away at his and Heart's chests. "Platinum, why did that group of Pokemies attack? it's not like them to go outside their nests that far."

"I think I may have an answer to that." said Platinum. "a while back, there were some Outskirters that lived in Everest, who thought they came up with a cure. When they came to Labyrinth, they requested they have protection while testing it. we did, but somehow the cure mutated the Pokemies, allowing them to go out of the nest. the 'cure is believed to give Pokemies all they need to stay alive, as fungus was used as a cure ingredient. Later that day, some Outlaws broke into Labyrinth and took the mutated 'cure'. We think these Outlaws have been using it on the Pokemies so they can distract us while they steal from the stockpiles. We hope to find them soon, considering they clearly don't know what they're doing."

Crystal spoke up. "Well we gotta go get them if we want to stop this from becoming a big problem!"

"Yeah!" Soul agreed, "Let us help out!"

Platinum was silent for a moment. "... Alright, I think you've proven your survival skills enough. You may do so, but please, be VERY careful. these Outlaws could change the way we look at Pokemies."

"Alright!" said Soul and Crystal. both of them grabbed their backpacks and headed out the door.

"C'mon Heart, let's go kick some Outlaw butt!" yelled Soul.

Heart got up and grabbed his backpack, when Platinum stopped him.

"Y'know, Heart, that invitation to the SEP is still out there"

"I'm not going to accept, Platinum, as much as I appreciate it. My place is with Soul and Crystal. they're too energetic to stay in one place, and I can't let them go on their own."

"Alright," said Platinum, "I don't know how much skill they have, but I know you can handle yourself. Please take care of them."

"Heart!" yelled Crystal outside, "Let's go!"

"Coming!" said Heart. He looked at Platinum.

"Don't worry, I always do."

Platinum shook Heart's hand. "Then good luck, my fellow Pokémon."

Conner and Historius were working hard to create the cure for the Virus. They combined a Rawst Berry, Chesto Berry, Cheri Berry, Aspear Berry, Pecha Berry, all ground up into a pulp. They mixed in a portion of Berry Juice, with the powders of a Revive and a Dusk Stone. Last but not least, they added the Sacred Ash with the fibers of a Reaper Cloth. They put the elixir in a bottle. Historius said, "Finished. Now we need one thing.". Conner questioned Historius, "What is that?". He answered, "Well, we need a specimen to test it out: a Pokemie.".

After a good nights sleep, Migx woke up, and right away was thinking about his friend Vern. Was he still angry at him. And for that matter, was he still alive? And deep down, Migx was lonely. He was the only one living in the plantation as of current. "Hello? Anybody?" Migx called out.

In fact, Vern was alive, but he was wandering all night trying to make it to New Angeles. Right now he was literally crawling there, using every strength he had. "Help! Someone!" Vern cried out. "I cannot go on... much longer." Eventually, he plopped onto the ground. "I wish Migx was here. He could make a glass of water for me."

(I sure hope my characters get to interact with others, soon.)

Calia smiled and got to her feet. Pete went over to Calia's bag, closed it, and gave it back to her. The three of them climbed down from the tree and started on their journey yet again.

Soul looked at his map. He managed to get his hands on one in Labyrinth for only 2,500P. Quite a good price, considering how expensive maps could be.

"So, where to next?" asked Crystal.

"Well, we're low on supplies. Labyrinth isn't getting a new shipment of goods until next week, and we can't wait that long." said Heart.

"Well," said Soul, "How about New Angeles? that's the closest Pocket, and it holds the most rations of any Pocket. They have agriculture, economy, and a government system is in development. heck, it may be just like a city before the apocalypse. They even have a casino and theater to keep people entertained."

"I guess that's our next stop!" said Crystal.

Conner has gone to the field where Pokemies were last sighted. He was charged by Historius to catch a Pokemie to test their new elixir. It is a stealth operation, as he did not want Conner injured by a horde of Pokemies. Conner was silently going towards one, being wary of the others. He reaches for his sleep powder. He sprays the Pokemie's face with it, and It is knocked out.

He drags it slowly to Haven Everest, and puts it in the cage for testing. "Oh!! I nearly forgot the last ingredient. Conner, let me see your arm please.", Historius exclaimed. Conner willingly put his arm towards him, and Historius drawn a little blood from a syringe. "I have figured out what makes you immune to the BR-92 virus. There is a special chemical that in no way harms you, but protects from the disease. If I mix it in, we can inject the elixir into the Pokemie, and it should work. We will wait until it becomes conscious again before we test.".

Conner was excited. He was because he was positive that they found the cure to their nightmare. He hopes it will work.

"Where are we going next?" asked Pete. Emily looked up at Calia and said, "There's a secret market somewhere in this area," "I could find it so we can stock up on supplies." Calia looked at Pete and replied, "I guess we're going to the secret market, then."

The Pokemie was still knocked out. Conner was wondering what would happen if the elixir worked. Would they be able to stop the Virus. Would they help the ex-Pokemies get back to their families? Would Conner himself be able to find his family again?

He enjoyed those thoughts. But what if it didn't work? How long would it be until they found the cure? Would the virus evolve so much that the immunized would no longer be immune?

He cringed at those thoughts. He hopes that this Virus can be cured before anything worse happens.

Bird looked out to the rising sun, "We need to move soon, the haven is still a bit away. Not even half way yet."

Jackal sat up again, "When did you become so smart?" he asked as if he's only seen him as a tool, or distraction.

"You've never noticed it, but I've always been intelligent," Bird looked over with a smirk, "And I'd really appreciate it if you didn't act like I'm some child along for protection. Who saved who last night?" he gave a smart remark with a hint of retortion.

"Doesn't matter, I've had to save your features on multiple occasions," Jackal stood up on the branch. He stretched his wings out and yawned, "Well, we should be there by mid day if we leave now. Possibly before dusk," he brought his wings all the way in on his body.

Deep down, Migx was lonely. VERY lonely. No one there for him to slip his tongue to, or something. Migx eventually realized the worst part of it. Vern had no way of getting water. And if he was exhausted, he would die of dehydration. With this in mind, Migx bolted out of the plantation to look for his friend, hoping he would make it in time.

Emily led the others through the forest for a while, then started randomly climbing a rather tall tree. Calia looked at Pete, shrugged, and started climbing also. Emily waited at a sturdy branch, and after they got high enough, she walked along the branch to a small wooden platform. She held it in place until Calia and Pete boarded. She then let go of the tree branch, and the platform acted as some sort of zipline, carrying the three toward the secret market. The platform stopped at another tree branch, and Emily walked off, waiting for the others to follow. Calia looked back at Pete and asked, "Are you okay?" Pete took wobbly steps off of the platform and warned, "I might throw up on you." Calia chuckled and followed Emily onto yet another branch.

Meekup was picking Berries and Blu was getting fresh water. Meekup heard a strange noise over where Blu was and went to check on him. He saw a Pokemie Attacking him and he was fending it off pretty well except there was another pokemie sneaking up behind him. (Dramatically.) Meekup jumped into the pokemies path, shielding his brother, but getting bitten. He fainted the pokemie, holding his wound. (Not so dramatically) "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'M GONNA BE A POKEMIE!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" He screamed running in frantic circles. Blu looked at his brother. "Meekup, don't you think the virus should've taken effect?" Meekup stopped running in circles and looked at him. "Your right!!!! I'm Not gonna be a pokemie!!!" Meekup said jumping up and down.

Emily pushed away some leaves to let Calia and Pete through, and a wonderful sight met their eyes. In one tree, shielded by branches, vines, and leaves, was the market. All sorts of tree dwelling pokemon had stalls that sold everything from pecha berries to dusk stones. "This place is amazing!" Pete said, his wooziness forgotten. "Yep," Emily replied. "Welcome to the secret market."

Heart was looking over the map as Soul and Crystal took the lead through an abandoned building. Heart couldn't wait to see New Angeles. none of the group had ever been there before. it would feel nice for him to finally be in a place that was like a city before the apocalypse.

Still, he was worried. he knew that the Outskirters that nearly got their hands on Crystal were nuts, so he was afraid of running into any on the way here. He hadn't known much about Outskirters, but his first impressions of them weren't that nice, considering a group nearly killed them trying to get Crystal. This was why Heart felt he needed to watch both Crystal and Soul. combine Crystal's vulnerability as a target, and Soul's recklessness, you have a recipe for disaster to happen.

Then suddenly he stopped. he listened to his surroundings, and he heard the faint click of a Pokemie.

"Guys," Heart whispered to Soul and Crystal, "get down and be quiet!"

Soul and Crystal got down as told. "Why?" Soul asked.

he didn't have to answer. right above him, through a big hole in the wall, he saw a group of Pokemies.

Emily led the way through the market, stopping only to show Calia and Pete what was for sale in each of the stalls. When they got to the end of the rows, she stopped at a Pokemon food and drink store and said, "Hello, Cameron." The Pokemon turned around, saw Emily, and exclaimed, "Emily!" Calia and Pete gave each other looks of bewilderment and asked, "Emily, who is this person?" Emily turned around and replied, "This is my friend, Cameron the grovyle."

OOC: can I bring Cameron in as a character also?

"Well, we should find shelter before more pokemies come." said Mekup "and we should make a fire so we can keep warm"

Jackal smirked to himself, "Haven't done that for a while," he shook his expression away, "Never-mind that, we need to go, now," he lunged forward and flew off toward the haven they had previously set their eyes on from the start. Bird rolled his eyes and took off after Jackal, "So we know we arent alone in the skies anymore, the virus has caught a few flying ones then. Keep an eye out for any other flying Pokemon, any of them would be our enemies."

"Cameron, we need supplies." Emily said. Cameron smiled and replied, "Sure, what do you need?"
Calia stepped closer and replied, "We need fresh water, sitrus berries, moomoo milk, and three expert belts."

Heart looked around him. he had to think fast. if the Pokemies saw them, they'd have to make a run for it. and the building was tight. they wouldn't be able to get away in time.

"Go around the hole very slowly," whispered Heart, "These Pokemies are attracted to sound."
"How can you tell?" asked Soul, quietly as possible.
"The specks around their eyes. it means they have no eyesight and can be attracted to sound. I learned that the hard way."

Migx eventually caught up to his friend. "Vern!?" He called out before seeing him passed out on the sand. "VERN!!!" Migx ran up to him an turned him on his back. He was lucky to have made it in time. Migx tried his hardest to pry Vern's mouth open, but his big fingers made it harder that it should me. Migx always had a feeling that having abnormal sized hands would come back to bite him. Eventually, though, he pried it open, and then started to pour small chunks of ice through his mouth to hydrate his friend. Since Migx didn't know any water based moves, he had to use a suppressed Ice Beam to provide water. But, eventually, the ice melted shortly before touchdown and landed in Vern's mouth. Eventually, Vern came through. "Vern? Vern, are you alright?" he asked? Vern opened his eyes, kind of groggy from heat exhaustion. "Huh? Where am I?" he asked. Migx helped Vern get up, eventually trying to dust him off. "I know you didn't want me here, but I got worried about you, so I came to help," he said. Vern was still half-conscious, so Migx decided to carry him to New Angeles.

Instead of giving the three the supplies that they needed, Cameron began to take all of his goods off the shelves and started putting them in a leather backpack. Calia watched all of this in confusion until Cameron said, "I'm coming with you." Emily stepped forward and asked, "Why? Don't you live here?" Cameron slung his backpack over his shoulders and replied, "I'm coming because I know that if you're traveling with these guys, it means that your parents are either dead or turned into pokemies." Emily stared at him open mouthed until he added, "Kid, I've known you since you were born. I know you better than you think I do." Cameron then turned to Calia and said, "I have everything you need except the moomoo milk and the expert belts, and I know where you can get them."

it took awhile to start a fire but eventuality they got one started. "I'm still hungry" said meekup "me too" said blu.

Cameron led Emily, Pete, and Calia to the store where they could get the moomoo milk, and said, "This is my friend, Allison the Snivy." Allison turned around and said, "Ooh, customers! What can I get for you today?" Calia stepped forward and said, "We need a half dozen moomoo milks, please."

so they went to pick more berries. they found some more and they went back to the fire and ate the rest of the berries and went to sleep

"Of course!" Allison said, handing them six moomoo milks. "Thank you." Calia said. "Now, where can we find the expert belts?" She asked Cameron.

With a long morning flight, the war for Labyrinth, "Here we are. You sure you know how to use your weapons?" Jackal looked back to Bird, "Wait," he looked back quickly, "Where are the other bandits, all I see are pokemies," he stopped.

"Did they get attacked in their raid?" Bird questioned looking over the break in.

"I can show you where to get the belts, but you'll have to get four instead of three." Cameron said, grinning. "Of course we will." Calia replied.
