Let's post our findings from our Blind Bag buys.

Let's let each other know out of what Colored Bag what Chest we get and see if there is a pattern.

Reason: Some friends in Oz got the Chests and told us what they received from what bag, and they are all the same so far.
If this is a true pattern, people who just want to collect the different colored chests will know what bag to buy.

Here are their findings:

Blue Bag = Gold Chest

Purple Bag = Silver Chest

Green Bag = Bronze Chest

If this pattern turns out true, I'll gladly go out and buy 1 of each color so I can display all 3 chests.

Hopefully if true.

Perhaps the blind bag purpose refers to the the Imaginator Pieces unlocked by the chests.

We'll know as more and more people open their Bags and report what's inside.

Since Gold rewards better items than Silver, and Silver rewards better items than Bronze, no one's going to bother with the Green or Purple packs since there's no exclusivity among them.

^ Except for completionists who want the physical toys for their collection.

Q.can the chest be reused on other save files or platforms?

A. Yes. (I just loaded my Wii U version and it worked). I can't confirm this yet but the chest items seem to fixed. I think I got the same items on my PS4 and Wii U from the Same chest.

They are only usable once per save file.

They are only usable once per save file.

It won't. The Imaginite Mystery Chests are static, meaning the data doesn't change, thus they cannot be reset, because they are never altered from their factory state.

The game itself catalogues which chests have been used, saving them to the profile, preventing it from further use. It's just like Magic Items within a level, except it applies to the whole game instead.

Gonna buy 1 of each color at launch now.

Getting gold chest from dark starter, just have to get a green bag and purple bag. Got to remember Green Goblin colors.

Perfect, it just sounds like the items are the "blind" aspect, but the chests are predictable. Makes getting one of each very easy.

My chests were different...

Blue: Bronze
Green: Silver
Purple: Bronze

No gold for me T-T

Mine were also different (or rather mine was).

Reason is so far the people who found Blue Bag = Gold Chest; Purple Bag = Silver Chest; Green Bag = Bronze Chest have been in Australia.

Perhaps thats a factor, perhaps not.

Norway. But it can't be anything consistent here, since I got Bronze in 2 different colors, and no Gold.

So is there anything exclusive about the chest? Can you still unlock items in-game? do you need more than one set to get everything?

Nothing exclusive, just time saver. The rarer the chest the rarer the item spread. You're still getting more bang for your buck buying digital chests as there are some digital-only with a lot of items.

UK- Green bag gold chest i think and purple i got a bronze that or its the other way around. At least they made the packaging RFID blocking.

im not shocked if this is true, they always try to find a way to trick money from your wallets.

Pretty sure Bifrost means there are more kinds of chests in the digital store. It also has a Copper Chest for a little under half the price of a Bronze/Silver/Gold and a Platinum Chest for about twice as much.

Buuut over here digital Bronze/Silver/Gold Chests are $7.55 and the physical ones are $6 (and can be used on multiple saves), so the digital ones are a total ripoff.

Other than the costume pieces tied to the Senseis and the elemental Creation Crystals, you can unlock every other costume piece by playing the game.

UK: Blue Bag=Bronze Chest

Luckily the two blind bags I bought plus the Dark edition gave me the 3 colours with no dupes. Don't have to worry about buying any more now.

In Sweden I got green=silver and purple = bronze.

Oh, this is helpful. Well, I'm buying one of each bag and the Dark Edition, so in an ideal world, I'd get 1 of each plus one spare.
