Umbra headed on upstairs herself. Though she wasn't so adept at using magic, she cast a fire rune spell over her doorway. She would have conjured a wolf to keep watch as well, but her conjurations didn't seem to last that long. After treating herself to a cup of ale and a slice of cheese, Umbra fell into the bed and was asleep in no time.

Dar'Jo ate the meat fairly quickly after it warmed up.
Marcurio had an apple and a rabbit leg for supper.
"We must adjourn to our rooms now." Dar'Jo said, standing up.
"Yes, who knows how long we'll rest on the ship." Added Marcurio.
They both went downstairs and into an empty room. Marcurio got a scroll of frost rune out, he opened it and right after he had the knowledge to cast it, he cast it in front of the door. "No one's getting through there." Marcurio said, he looked at Dar'Jo who laid himself down on the bed. The Imperial went over to the bed and laid down with the Khajiit. They cuddled together and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Back outside in Windhelm, Angrenor Once-Honored, a local beggar noticed an Imperial man wearing hood in front of him. "I was one of the best soldiers in the Stormcloak army, until I took a sword through the chest." Angrenor said, begging for money from this stranger.
"Gol Hah!"

Umbra awoke early the next morning; she rolled out of bed and diffused the spell holding the rune on the floor. She headed out of her room and downstairs to fetch herself a bite of breakfast and await her companions.

Dar'Jo and Marcurio woke up, they got out of the bed. "Good morning, my love. How did you sleep?" Marcurio asked.
"This one slept well, he was extremely warm. Being with you makes the harsh conditions of Skyrim all the more bearable." Dar'Jo said, he smiled at his husband.
"Sane." Marcurio said.
Dar'Jo kissed him on the cheek. "Let's go see if the others are awake." He said and walked to the door. He stopped as he saw a frost rune on the floor.
"Oh, sorry. I'll get rid of that." Marcurio said as he dispelled the spell.

Teldryn left his room, he had slept well, even that he had slept on a chair. He walked to Umbra to ask when they would be leaving.

The two mages went out of their room and upstairs. They walked over to Umbra. "Good morning, Dragonborn." Marcurio said.

Dragonborn.
Angrenor, who was sitting nearby them suddenly got up once he heard this particular word.
He walked towards the group, holding a Nordic dagger, his eyes were empty, he had his orders, orders to strike down the Dragonborn and he couldn't fight back to these orders.

Dar'Jo noticed the Nord begger moving towards them. The Khajiit stepped in front of Umbra, facing the Nord. The Khajiit's hands burned with fire as he prepared to shoot the Nord.

Umbra heard the fire crackling in the Khajiit's palms and turned to see why. Dar'Jo was facing an old, greasy-looking Nord who brandished a dagger. Umbra's brow furrowed as she stood up to stand by her feline counterpart's side. Though her tail was lashing, Umbra calmly asked the man, "What do you want?"

Marcurio stood at the Argonian's other side. His finger tips were sparking with electricity as he was on guard as well, though he wasn't in a fighting stance he was ready to unleash a bolt of lightning at the Nord.

His eyes blank, Angrenor took another step closer, rising the dagger as he was about to strike. "Hear his orders..." He spoke, like he was in some sort of trance.
Teldryn shot an arrow, hitting the dagger on Angrenor's hand, making it fall. "Not today, old man."

Marcurio shot electricity at Angrenor.
Dar'Jo shot a few firebolts at Angrenor, knocking him back.

Umbra tensed to fight, but it appeared as if her comrades were taking care of the job. As the man fell, Umbra stepped forward and knelt, thrusting her snout into his face. "Whose orders?" she growled.

Blank look on his face, Angrenor stayed quiet, it was like he didn't understand anything anymore.

Umbra bared her teeth, as if that would help. Grabbing his shirt by the collar, she shook him violently, but to no avail. Letting go of Angrenor, Umbra stood and looked to her companions. "Anyone have a clue what that was about? Seems like he was under a spell of sorts."

Dar'Jo and Marcurio lowered their hands, but they stayed on guard. "A spell you say? This one will have a look." He said as he crouched down and looked at the Nord, paying close attention to his face. "He appears to be disoriented and has a blank expression. I am no illusionist or alteration specialist, but this one has read quite a few books on magic of mind control. It would appear that our Nord begger here was under an illusion spell known as Fury." Dar'Jo said.
"But he had no red aura around him, normally those under the spell of fury have a faint red aura around them. This man looked normal to me, no sign of him being affected by a spell other than what has transpired after he was freed from said spell. This might be the work of either a powerful illusionist that has learned to make his spells no be evident to others, or a new spell altogether." Marcurio said.
"Nord, do you have any recollection of what happen to you, why you're here, why you attacked the Dragonborn?" Dar'Jo asked the Nord begger.

Again the word Dragonborn.
Angrenor tried to reach for the dagger, then suddenly...
"Huh?" The influence he was controlled by disappeared, he looked very very confused.

"He appeared to have been under that spell again, and then it suddenly stops?" Marcurio asked.
"I'm going to ask again, why did you attack Umbra? Do you have any memory of someone casting a spell on you?" Dar'Jo asked.

"A- a spell? I have no idea what you are talking about!" Angrenor looked at the mages in confusion. "I only remember being outside yesterday, seeing stranger. I begged money from him, and then... A shout... I don't remember anything else, I swear!"

"Hmm, a shout?" Asked Marcurio. He looked at Umbra. "Have you heard of a shout that can cause someone to attack someone else?"

Umbra looked at Angrenor, then Marcurio; her expression spoke of her confusion. "No, and that's saying a lot." She looked back to the old beggar. "Can you recall what this said stranger looked like?"

"No, he was wearing a hood, but I do remember seeing him on that boat with some strange cultist." Angrenor explained.

"Cultist?" Dar'Jo asked, he looked at Umbra. "Do you think it's the same one that attacked you?"

Umbra looked grimly at Dar'Jo, then back to Angrenor. "And what was the cultist wearing?"

"A mask, and robes..." Angrenor spoke.

Blunt though it was, the man's description brought to mind the one who had attempted to take Umbra's life. She nodded and looked to Dar'Jo. "I believe it is," she answered his earlier question.

"We probably should be going. It is obvious some freaks are trying to stop our progress to the Solstheim." Teldryn said, looking at the others.

"Agreed. Let us go." Dar'Jo said.

Umbra nodded her agreement. "I'm ready when you are," she said.

"Hold on a moment." Dar'Jo said to Umbra. He turned towards the Nord begger. He cast healing hands on him, slowly healing him of the burns. He stopped after two minutes when he was healed. The Khajiit pulled out a small bag of coins. "Here." Said Dar'Jo, handing the bag to the begger.

"Divines bless your kind heart..." The beggar spoke as he watched them leave.

[-hackhack- My apologies. I was waiting for someone else to say something and I just... totally forgot this existed. ]

"Right then," Umbra muttered. "Let's be on our way." Without another word she turned tail and left the inn, navigating the streets of Windhelm until she and her companions found themselves at the docks. She cast her gaze over the ships there and turned to Teldryn. "Which ship brought you here?" she asked him.

Teldryn pointed the ship which brought him there, ship with Nord captain. "This one."

[Why thank you. ]

Umbra nodded in response. She approached the most well-dressed of the crew, assuming he was the captain. "Greetings, Nord," she said with a slight dip of her nose. "Might I request your service?"

He had not even slept, and still was standing on a stool, on the boat watching the conversation happen, he had thought maybe someone might think it odd he was wearing daedric armor from 200 years ago but then again he saw people walking around with dwarven pure armor

The captain of the ship looked at Umbra, then at Teldryn. "I suppose you want to go back to Solstheim, aye?"

Ignoring the conversation about to take place he called out

"encase your been wondering, I've been on your boat all night...and if you don't take me there I'll take your eyeballs and replace them with cheese!...I hope so I like to juggle them"

Umbra gave a start at the voice, nearly jumping out of her scaly hide. What in the name of Akatosh?

Dar'Jo and Marcurio looked towards the Daedric prince.

"I...." The captain of ship was about to say something, then looked at the party. "We will leave to Solstheim now."

Umbra nodded. "Thank you," she said. She dug a couple septims out of her coin purse and handed them to him.

Marcurio sighed "Time for yet another long voyage through the icy and undoubtably choppy waters."
"Do not fret, my love. Dar'Jo is here." Said Dar'Jo as he put a hand on his shoulder.
Marcurio smiled at his Khajiit husband and put a hand on his hand. "You always know just what to say."

Umbra shook her head. Never understood romance, she thought, taking a seat on a bench built into the ship. Well, this ought to be fun, in any case...
