Is this trilogy worth it? [CLOSED]

I'm a huge old fan of the original three Insomniac Spyro games who got badly burnt out back in 2002 when I bought on Day1 EntertheDragonfly. It was such a disappointment... all those glitches, freezes, loading times, few locations and somewhat a janky Spryo turned me off from the game completely (even tough I managed to finish it once)

Since then I began to care less about Spyro and his subsequent games until I got the chance to replay Spyro2 some time ago.

So, I've re-tried to get into EntertheDragonfly first and Hero's Tail after, but with little success.
Now I'm wondering if this trilogy, altough different from the first three Spyros, is still worth getting...

I'd like to hear opinions from people who loved the PS1 ones and how, if it is possibile, they compare them with this series.
Sorry for my english, Italian here. smilie

The whole LoS series in itself is a flop, A New Beginning is the better one of the three though.
I should imagine that at least the first two would be quite cheap now, so it's probably worth trying it out.

The Legend trilogy isn't a very good trilogy. It's not the worst set of games out there, but they're nothing that amazing. That said, I had a fair amount of fun with A New Beginning, I was indifferent about The Eternal Night, but I thought Dawn of the Dragon was very bad and it's my second least-favorite game of all time (behind Sonic '06). <.<;

Congrats! You wasted five seconds reading this.

This trilogy has very connected storyline, but between 2nd and 3rd parts there are some inconsistencies, I can't recall any at the moment. But for me, these are great games as whole and individually

Ok guys, thanks for all your answer. I've made up my mind and I'm gonna give A new Beginning (which I found at 4 pounds) a shot first. Hope the Spyro fan in me will like this series

You should tell price at the beginning - it is totally worth it. I hope you'll get rest of trilogy for as good price as this one. You won't regret smilie

Wow I'm so glad you bought the first game. Legend of Spyro A New Beginning is probably one of my favorite games on PS2. Dawn of the dragon was my least favorite out of the three however. :3 I need to buy Eternal Night on PS2, because I bought it on Wii and it no longer works. :'c
