Hmm, cool first chapter. Lots of dialogue, character development and seeing their personalities a little. A good setup for the starting point, great descriptions...Great! You've outdone yourself Gf!

I turned back to her, gently removing Derek's arms from around my waist. "So what poor, deluded soul did you trick into going with us THIS time?" I asked, starting back in on my sushi.
"Ooo! Finally! Okay then! I asked Shaun Smith, and he said yes!" She was suddenly buoncing up and down in her seat. I gaped. The piece of sushi fell off of my chopsticks. Derek stared in disbelief. Shaun Smith was the second hotest guy in the school, with grey, almost white eyes, silver rimmed glasses, silvery hair, white skin, and a height of 6'4". Derek was 6'1". Big difference, but they're both the most wanted boys in all of Avalon High. Shaun is a bit of a book worm, constantly reading a manga or a novel, and yet he somehow manages to ace every single class, perfectly. I need to ask his secret one of these days.
"How in the name of all thing good did you do THAT!?" I managed to ask.
"Well, the only time he isn't reading is when he's walking, so I asked him as he was coming out of his class." she said, practically glowing. "And he said YES!!"
"Obviously." I muttered, and offered her sushi to shut her up before she launched into a speach about it. She waved it away.
"Can't eat that, Cloud. You know it gets seaweed stuck in my braces." She reminded me, and I shrugged, offering the sushi to Derek. He ate it off my chopsticks.
Yet again seemingly out of nowhere, Shaun himself appeard and sat down next to Rebecca. My usual feeling of being stared at enviously quickly turned into the feeling of holes being bored in the back of my head.
"Speak o' the devil and he shall appear, eh?" Derek muttered, and Rebecca blushed a bit.

Anyway... More of the chapter!

"H-Hey Shaun. What's up?" She asked, and Shaun smiled at her.
"We still on for Friday night movie and dinner at The Castle?" He asked, and I almost choked on my soda, then stared at Rebecca.
"Um, excuse me? The Castle!? You're kidding! You have to be kidding!" I cried in disbelief when I'd stopped choking on fizzy, Root Beer-y goodness. The Castle was the most expensive restaurant in 50 miles; and it's very, very high class.
Shaun nodded. "Yeah, didn't Rebecca tell you?" He asked. Then he cleared his throat as Derek and I glared at the two. Rebecca looked on slightly apolagetic.
"Heh-heh... Sorry guys. Well, now you know!" She said, pulling out our two movie tickets. I gave her an 'I'm going to kill you now, so prepare to die a horrible death' look as she handed them to Derek. I tended to, er, 'lose' them every time she gave them to me. Derek looked like he wanted to kill something or rip the tickets up into little pieces of confetti. I agreed with him.
"In any case, I geuss that's it. Seeya all on Friday, 'cause lunch is over in 3...2...1." As Shaun finished his countdown, the bell buzzed at us loudly and lunch ended. Shaun vanished and Rebecca was gone in half a second, out the door.
I blinked at Derek as he pocketed the tickets. "Well, class is calling. See you after school, my little thunder Cloud." He gave me one last kiss and left. I sighed, tossed my trash, drained my soda, and went to my next class.

There. Chapter 1 is done. Just to let you know, it's the shortest chapter, I'm pretty sure. Only 5 and a half written pages.
Then again, I write big, so.......
