@dark52: I petition to flag "skyro" and "skyros" as derogatory slurs towards the Skylanders sub-section of darkSpyro forums user community based solely on the context with which the terms have been used. There shouldn't be a need to refer to members of the community here as such just as reasonable users would not be allowed to use pejoratives in referencing the race or ethnicity of users here. The use of the terms signal that the specific sub-section, namely the Skylanders community, is unwanted or unwelcome here at darkSpyro forums, and that sort of discrimination by other members of the community should not be allowed or accepted. Thank you.

I suggest releasing all the Giants smilies whenever they are finished. It would be annoying to wait for them.

sykotek, I would actually take it as a compliment, no other section of the Forum has gotten a nickname before! smilie Skyros are just general fans, and I will proclaim myself one, in fact. I do see why you are upset though as the general section seems to confuse the terms.

Skyronoobs are another matter... They react... Differently to posts...

However, if the community thinks it is an issue, I will, personally, stop. But this term has been popular for a while now...

What? Are you serious? Skyro isn't used in offence, it's not even used to define the part of the community that are Skylanders fans. It's simply used to identify Skylanders Spyro; Skyro. Like, there's original Spyro, Legend Spyro and Skyro. It's a term that has been used since the game was announced. Further more, if the term was being used to define the part of the community that are Skylanders fans, that doesn't mean it's offensive. The word Skyro has no offensive meaning so calling someone a Skyro or Skyro's would just mean a fan of the series, saying "I hate Skyro's" or "Skyro's are stupid" or something along those lines, is an opinion and not any kind of discriminating slur.

Certainly "Skyro" itself in reference to the Skylanders version of Spyro is non-offensive, but a quick Google search will reveal it being used almost entirely in a derogatory manner recently to reference the Skylanders community here at darkSpyro forums. "Skyro" as Skylanders Spyro is perfectly fine and not in dispute, "skyro" and "skyros" in reference to grouping Skylanders forum users as it has been recently is offensive and unwelcoming. I think we should be able to report users for using it in a pejorative manner, if users aren't purposefully using it in a denigrating manner, they shouldn't be opposed to that.

@Sykotek, Skyro is something different to everyone! It is not offensive. I think you are just overreacting, Skyro can be good. Just get over it! It is not a big deal! It is just one word in the world! And you are just one person! What is Dark gonna do, huh? Every time Skyro is used are you gonna report it for Offensive Language? Do you already do that? There is no point, it won't change anything! Another word will be made. Like "I am not allowed to say Skyro, so I will say Skoob!" It just won't change anything! It is just not a good idea. Are you really that sensitive, that you will let just one word affect you, in any way? Sounds bratty to me.

If by forum, you mean topic, here's how.
1: Go to the section you want to make the topic in.
2: Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and press to button that says "Create New Topic".
3: Enter the topic's name, add a message and press "Post Topic"
Anyways, I suggest that in the activation email, you add something along these lines:
"Be sure to read the help files and forum rules before posting!" This could decrease the amount of infractions of the rules by new users.

Option to copy image URLs and set them as avatars.

Eg.
Found image- http://imageshack.spyro.jpg

Go into Settings
New Option under setting Avatar:
Avatar Link- [copy image URL here]

For example, with the above URL, it would be:
Avatar Link- [http://imageshack.spyro.jpg]

There's already a birthday limit however... You can only change it five times. Fifty Gems isn't that much and not worth the abuse I would think.

It's a small touch, but I'd like to see Guests being able to see pictures directly on posts. They can already see videos, so why not?

Since many people here seem OK with swearing, maybe you could add an optional swear filter, with a strict mode that filters out all language, a moderate mode that only censors the "real" swear words while allowing all the not as strong swears, similar to what we have now and an off mode that doesn't censor anything.

It happens in all the forums as well, not just here and Video Gaming, it happens at least weekly in the Skylanders Forum, and even a lot of anti-Skylanders topics in the Legend Forums. The worst part is that the topics are abandoned right afterwards most of the time.

It's not a breaking thing but it gets on my nerves when I see so many Pokemon or MLP topics.

I'd like to suggest that we have a small subsection of the Skylanders forum for "Fandom". Right now, the Giants forum is overrun with "Avatar" threads and while they're cool, they really should be somewhere else. Right now it's almost near a pain to even try and find any info there, since it seems to be strewn all throughout with people making avatars. I think this area should be were people make their showdown and polls and other general fan related things (like ideas for episodes, I guess fanfiction or whatever) that I don't think necessarily need to be in the regular discussion area and makes the whole thing look cluttered.
