How is he stealing a fan title? How CAN you steal a fan title unless you use it for another fan game? All is said was that he thought it sounded cool, that's not a crime!

A. I think the post was intended with some humour, when was the last time you saw some lecture someone on the internet in that tone...

I've seen that tone a lot.

And, ah, Activision can take that fan title if they want regardless; the fan game was made for the series so they have the right to use anything the fans make without permission. Basic copyright law, if you make fan stuff, the company legally owns it.

Yep, that how it works. The company probably won't see even a fraction of the stuff done under their licence, they only really exercise the law when they want to use a fan idea or they want to block fan content being made/uploaded (eg Archie on fanfiction.net) or stop people selling fan content without their permission (commisions of official characters are technically illegal unless you get the proper legal licences to do it, for example).

At the moment, the title means nothing to me. I'd need a plot and general story outline to make any sort of connection with it.

It's unlikely they would use a fan name.....

But I've seen many cases where companies do take ideas from fans, and just don't credit at all.

I checked his IMDb page and it didn't mention a Spyro Game. I guess if it was mentioned there, it was removed as well.

I also checked all of the previous voice actors in the Spyro Games, and there was no mention of Spyro's Kingdom.
I bet Activision forced them not to bring up any mention of the game..

Exactly. Why bother keeping it to themselves? We know a bit of information now, so why bother hiding it? We're just going to find out more info at least every Month. They need to open that gate already.
