I think matesd's theory made sence. Rani is only a purple dragon because Cynder laid her not in the year of the dragon and Spyro and Cynder are both purple so she would purely be purple, too.

End of story.

cynder isnt meant to be purple, EL stuffed hers up. smilie also im only angry at EL. the others did an at least fair job.

Cynder was still black in color in DOTD, at last by script...

PAST: Born in the valley of Avalar near some crystals, she is gifted with some of the rarest elements. She has Avalar armoury.

She was born in the ruins of Warfang, but her egg was brang to Avalar, because her sister, Jewel, enjoyed it there when she was young. Gemstone is 4 years younger than Jewel.

Balances: Crystal makes her strong, wind makes her brave, and ice makes her bold.
Birthground: Crystal cave in the ice peaks when Spyro and Cynder visited Cyril there.
Other: Like her sister, Gemstone, Jewel has been gifted, and has armoury of Avalar as well. She is older, however, and after she was born, Spyro and Cynder decded to move to Avalar from the ruins of Warfang from time to time.

During one of their visits, Gemstone was born.
