I've only recently heard the theme of Hamtaro because of...Ensemble Stars...

I hate to ruin the wholesome roleplay, but could I be enlightened to the knowledge of what the contents of Hamtaro entails? I may put it on my to-watch list

Hamtaro is about a hamster named Hamtaro who sneaks out of his cage when his owner, Laura, is away, and meets up with other hamsters, most of which are also pets who sneak away (although there are a couple of wild ones) in a secret underground clubhouse. They pretty much go there to play, but they almost always get into some kind of trouble. They also help Laura and the other humans with their problems, although they have to do that secretly of course so they don't get caught.

It's overall a cute, fun, and lighthearted show that's easy to enjoy and feel relaxed while watching. If you don't mind watching English subbed anime, there are a lot of episodes that were unfortunately never localized. I like the English dub for the episodes it does cover though.

It was one of my favorite shows when I was little and I still love it.

YesterdayFlemmey pretty much summed it up its pretty adorable only about half of it was ever dubbed and it gets kind of extra silly the later in you get but it handles both the cuteness of hamsters and the slice of life genre really well ...of course its pretty much considered a "kids show" but its super cute and just a fun time for me it was a good calming show to watch and still can be for me like just a good time and nothing much to stress over i loved it if you give it a watch let us know what you think! lol i dont get to talk much about hamtaro
