Did anyone else notice the Sonamy Boom tease when Cindy was talking on stage? That made things even more exciting for the Boom series!

I donno about you guys, but I think this anniversary was a big tribute to Classic Sonic and Classic Fans. I mean, even the big 2017 game has Classic Sonic, Classic Sonic in Sonic Dash, the Classic Sonic characters with Hello Kitty, Sonic Mania being a tribute to Classic Sonic Fans, even the logo for the event just had Classic Sonic.

Meh, who am I to blame. If Fire and Ice, and Season 2 of Boom is good, I'm happy.

Spoilered because swear in the title. Whilst the announcements really excite me, the experience kinda got ruined by the stream. I'm definitely getting Mania if its ported to a Nintendo console, otherwise I'll get it on PC as it seems like a good return to form for Sonic in my opinion.

Since nobody posted it yet, I will be the first to say Green Hill Paradise Act 2 is pretty great.



This is a fangame made by the dude who uploaded this and while it needs some polish to feel like a commercial game, it's very close. I spent a lot of time exploring it and unlocked Hyper Sonic. It's free to play on PC. The download link is in the YouTube description.

IMO the 2d sonic games are better than the 3d games. They've just turned out bad, except for a few, and the racing games,

It's a divisive series, to the say the least. The only 3D games I can say I really enjoy are Colors and Generations.

Also I don't care what the bulk of the fanbase says, Roger Craig Smith's smarmy, jerkass Sonic is my favorite and puts him more in line with the way Ian Flynn writes him for the comics and I'mgonnagonowkthnxbai *flees*

I HATED Colors and Generations. They were some of the most boring, bland and generic Sonic games I've ever played. Seeing people praise the **** out of them as "DA PURFEKT SAWNEEK GAYMZ" makes me lose faith in the Sonic community. Oh, and I don't care for Sonic Mania at all.

Pretty much the ones everyone hates. SA1, SA2(which was my first Sonic game), Heroes, Secret Rings, Black Knight, Rush, Rush Adventure and half of Unleashed(I actually like the night stages more than the day stages). I never played the classic games that much, and Shadow the Hedgehog and 06 were actually decent.

It's been 10 years since Sonic 06 graced us with its horrifying imagery like in that film Lord of the Flies when the kids killed a pig, stuck its head on a pike and worshipped it.

I watched at least 4 LPs of this to see the suffering of people playing blind, it should amount for something on the 10th anniversary

Things that never get old

-No autosave
-Mach Speed section, any of them
-"don't get hit by the falling rocks" as one spawns in front of you in Magma Core
-The gif above
-Not the Silver fight in Sonic Story ---- the Shadow version for size

Friendly reminder that Sonic is coming to LEGO Dimensions this Friday. All of the Sonic content is looking really great, so if you have LEGO Dimensions (or you can get it really cheap right now because of Black Friday sales), you should get the Sonic Pack.

Just noting that there's an event happening on Sonic Dash that lets you get Classic Sonic (with Green Hill Zone) for free if you collect 623 cartridges. Good luck. It ends in a little more than 4 days.
