"I...t-thought....you....hated...m-me." Sachi said, struggling to get the words out. "B-but...I...s-still...couldn't...not...h-help...you."

"Sachi... I don't hate you... I was jealous. I thought you liked Kayden" Jake said, pulling Sachi close to him

"I...d-don't...love...anyone...m-more...than...y-you...Jake." Sachi cries. "I...would...d-die...to...save...y-you. You're...the...only...one...I...w-want...to...be...with."

"R-really?" Jake said, tears welling in his eyes as he held Sachi. "I'm so sorry..."

Sachi leaned weakly against Jake, tears in her eyes, holding her broken arm to her chest.
"I-it's...okay. I...d-don't...judge...r-remember? I...just...k-know...that...I...l-love...you." she cries. "That's...all...I-i...need...to...know."

"I love you too, Sachi" Jake said as tears rolled down his face

Sachi rested against Jake, sobbing lightly, feeling her consciousness ebb away.
"Jake...g-get...Kayden. He...is...the...o-only...one...who...can...h-help."

Jake's clenched his jaw once he heard Sachi "Fine... As long as it'll help you..." Jake said, anger evident in his voice

Sachi nodded and let her eyes close slowly.

Kayden yawned softly and stretched, leaning back against the couch the he lay out on in the living room. He closed his sly, yellow eyes and layed back comfortably.

Jake set Sachi down gently on the floor and stepped outside of the room. He walked out into the living room. "Hey, you. Sachi needs your help"

Kayden's yellow eyes blinked slowly open as he heard Jake speak to him.
"Hmm? What's the problem?" his British voice murmured sleepily.

"Your little shadow cobra thing attacked her. She saved my life" Jake said

"Bloody hell." Kayden curses, shooting to his feet, eyes wide. He takes off towards the room.

"That woke him up" Jake scoffed as he began walking back to the room

Kayden ignored Jake's snarky remark and made his way to Sachi's side.
"The venom already took you over..." he murmurs. "What can I do..." he trails off.

OOC: forever will be a sassy-ass with kayden

"Not send shadow cobras after me" Jake muttered under his breath

OOC: But of course

"Shut up." Kayden snarled. "You deserved it." His gentle yellow eyes were furious, but immediately settled as Sachi took his hand.

"You can take the venom, can't you?" she whispered hoarsely.

Kayden nodded.
"...But it's a lot. I could lose at least two lives." he said softly.

"Look where it got us... Just saying" Jake shrugged slightly

Kayden decided he would beat Jake up later.
"I got nine lives. I'll do it for you Sachi."

Jake leaned up against a wall and waited

Kayden grew a small finger nail into a sharp cat claw a made a small cut on Sachi's wrist. He then placed his hand on top and silently murmured incantations of descent that would never be traced. They sounded odd, like an old code.

Sachi winced at the pain of the cut.

Jake looked away, not wanting to see the ritual

As soon as the last word was murmured, Kayden's knees buckled, his skin sickly green in color. His body was unmoving for the longest time, not even a heartbeat thudding in his chest.

Sachi knelt beside Kayden, resting her small hands on his chest, whispering soft words to him.

"Will he be alright?" Jake asks

Sachi smiles at Jake.
"You do care about him." she says softly, her eyes bright with appreciation. "I think he'll be fine in a few seconds."

Jake chuckles and rolls his eyes "Don't tell him nothing"

Sachi smiles.

Kayden coughs suddenly, eyes fluttering, his skin turning back to its pale tone.

Sachi mouths "thank you" to Jake and turns to Kayden.

Jake nods to Sachi with a small grin

Kayden looks at Sachi as he calms down.
"You're okay." he coughs. "That was horrifying. Losing lives is scary." he shudders.

Sachi hugs Kayden close.
"You're okay now. And you saved my life. Thank you Kayden." Sachi smiles.

"Thanks for saving her" Jake says, looking to Kayden

Kayden smiles.
"Hey. She's your girl, and my best friend. I won't let her go that quickly." he says.

Sachi smiles softly, blushing.

"Appreciate it" Jake nods

Kayden sat up slowly, wincing in slight pain from the effort, nodding to Jake.

Sachi helped Kayden sit up, resting her hand gently on his back to help support him.

"You okay down there?" Jake asks

Kayden smiles a soft smile.
"Sure. As good as any cat who just lost two lives at once."

"Good luck. Sounds bad" Jake says, looking at Kayden

"I'm a black cat. Got to make my own luck." Kayden laughs, standing up finally.

"Guess so" Jake chuckles

Sachi grins at how well Jake was getting along with Kayden. The two boys got along so well. She smiled at Jake, showing him that she had taken notice of his kindness.

Jake smiles back at Sachi
"How many lives you got left there, black cat?"

Kayden hesitated. He was told to never share how many lives he had left in case someone tried to take them from him. He decided that it would be safe to reply, but answered slowly.
"Seven." he said suspiciously, yellow cat eyes narrowed in hostility.

"Oh, wow. These were the first ones you lost? I'd have lost all mine by now, or been on my last one. I'm kind of a klutz" Jake chuckled

Kayden relaxed at Jake's words, laughing.
"They're hard to keep let me tell ya."

"Props to you for keeping them, then" Jake laughed, becoming more comfortable with Kayden

Kayden laughs and smiles.

A loud knocking echoes throughout the house and a booming voice rumbles in.
"Is Kayden here?"

"Oooooh that is 100% terrifying" Jake said, jumping at the voice

Kayden became solemn suddenly at the sound of the voice.
"That's Markus. He's a bit of a bully. He orders us around and makes sure we're always on the move. I hate him." Kayden growls.

"He's terrifying" Jake whispers, trembling in fear

"He is." Kayden says, shuddering. He looks towards the room's doorway, as if half expecting Markus to bust the front door down and appear in front of them. He thought Markus would do it too.

"I-is he here?" Jake asks, trying to calm himself down.
