okay it was a bad start for the new makers and stuff but why is it consirdered the worst? Its pretty cool, only the name could be something else and not something bad! the only bad pointsb are that the loading takes a while and its a bit glitchy. I like the game so whys it so bad?

Slow gameplay, terrible framerate, glitchy, boring, annoying controls, too less levels, ugly characters, lame storyline (how the HECK did Ripto survive Spyro 2?) and the WORST LOADING TIMES EVER in a game. Seriously. I feel like I could smash the game to pieces sometimes! When I beat it I might sell it and buy AHT.

too glitchy, takes forever to load... you name a problem this games got it.

Glichty, the loading takes forever! and it needs a better storyline.

I don't mind the glitches and slow loading. Its not a bad game. but i know everyone has their own opinions but sometimes the things ppl say about it
just upsets me abit.

it wasn't horrible! it just took forever to load,was glitchy, and the story was dull, but i still played it! it wasn't the worst game in the world! just slow and boring! it wasn't terrible 100%! i liked some parts of it!

well its like when he glides its so slow and theres only like one boss and things are slow moving it takes a while to load umm the fire flys move ver fast. it was glicthy and yea thats pretty much it

I like ALL spyro games no matter what!

i don't hate it and i don't think it's a bad game. when i played it (MONTHS ago) i thought it was pretty fun, just extremelyyyyy glitchy and slow. but i'd play it again!

simple.it sucks.

Its glitchy, the loading it TERABLE, and has a bad story line. When I first bought the game, I though "Thats it this game sucks!" I was about to take it back but I thought I might as well finish it...

slow loading,too many glitches,slow gameplay,only 9 levels and only one boss.but its a very good game.

Everything I hate about this game was inspired by the game itself. After playing AHT, I thought "Oh, surely EtD can't be THAT bad..." I was wrong. So very wrong.

Where do I start?

Lackluster music, unenthusiastic voice acting (not that I blame them), hideous character design mauling, horrible level design, glitches out the wazoo, unfair and illogical boss fight, slow loading times, inconsistent "plot", bad graphics, an obviously rushed development...

I could just go on and on about what made this game horrible. I think there was one song I liked and a single level I found fun until I had to repeat it twenty too many times and those are the only good things about the whole game.

I absolutely can't stand AHT, but ever since I finished EtD, I've been wanting to replay it. At last, I understand why so many people like AHT: because it isn't EtD!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all of the Spyro games, it's just....he's slower than a sloth with a stomach ache in this game!

I liked it just fine even with the glitches.

Hating a game so much because of just glitches is a stupid excuse for a stupid person. I've never experienced glitches like everyone claims.

Calling someone stupid for having a good reason to dislike something is a stupid response from a stupid person.

A glitch is something that messes with the elements of gameplay. Since a game is there to be played, it's no fun if some internal program error stops you from playing. Ergo, it is actually a logical and good reason to dislike a game if it is so choked with glitches that it is nigh unplayable, as is the case with most copies of EtD.

Now, how can I agree with that when I experience very few glitches? In the PS2 version.

I don't know what magical version of EtD you have, but my PS2 version was as slow and glitchy as any other. But that's not the only reason why I hate it (see my earlier post in this thread; the reasons are almost endless).

How can I enjoy this game when half of Jurrasic Jungle, (my favourite level) is missing!

The only time I get glitches is when I'm reckless and doing stupid stuff. Only in DotD have I ever experienced random glitches in any game. Except for the one and only glitch I got in both Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Next Gen where Sonic died after randomly coming off a platform and into some water.

me neather i think this games fun i only get the giches if i do the swimming one but thats about it

The sounds aren't in time

The voices screw up

The graphics are rubbish

The camera is jiggly

You can jump through freaking lava waterfalls and not get hurt

The boulders are defying the laws of phsics, they are floating and seem to be unaware that the force of G R A V I T Y is among us.

Jurassic Jungle dissapears

Spyro runs like he's wading through treacle

Sparx is really creepy *looks feareful*

You climb freakyish, like you aren't on the wall

When you splash in a lake the water looks like plastic

Moneybags is wearing a cloud suit (What the hell possesed them to do that)

The Whirlwind sound gets stuck in the background wherever you go

Spyro jumps in slow motion like he's a feather

The music was a big let down

There isn't enought levels

The dragonflies are as big as Spyro's head

The plot seriously SUCKS

The loading times BURN ME!

Agreed with all of the above.

The only things I didn't like about this game were the loading screens, loading screens to load the loading screens, and the slowness. I'm just impatient.

That game give me the biggest headache because of the framerate. I play a lot of third person games, and usually non gamers would complain about how dizzy it made them feel to watch it. I never understood it, until now.

The graphics are TERRIBLE. I might let that slide since it was an early ps2 release. Even the glitches were glitched. Spyro is so slow and his jumps are terrible. You can definitely tell they released an unfinished game Despite bad reviews, I bought this game....WHY? I just thought I'd like it.

No beef on people who did like it though. If they could have fixed a few things, I would have enjoyed it.

i agree with you. spyro does move too slow, but why does he run like that!?

This isn't the worst game. TEN on the DS is by far worst. This is just pretty low down.

Yeah.

The only good things about this game are Jurassic Jungle's mini levels and the fact that when you kill some fodder, meat bounces in its place.

I like this game so mush the graphics are okay but I don't mind if it slow it still a good game and I don't mind what you say about this game it good

it doesnt even have a storyboard and only 1 boss and 9 level. worst spyro game ever

it's one of the very few games I've played, so I think it's pretty good. =/

I really liked it. and the only reason you ppl are calling it bad, is because universal interactive RUSHED the other companies to make the game. If they had a bit more time to do it, it would be amazing! (but I think it's cool, especially when you go to a new land you travel on something!)

I agree with all the reasons it sucks, but I mean, I give them credit for trying. It was the first Spyro game on ps2, right? And it was rushed.
It was just way too glitchy, but honestly the only reason I play it is for the glitches, which were really glitchy. All of the characters are creepy looking, the sound is off by a lot, Spyro runs wierd... it was wayyyyy way wayyy too short, the plot just....sucked. And Long Loading. That's pretty much it. I think it would've done better off on PS1, graphic-wise. I mean, I did enjoy it when I was younger, but I recently played it and realized how bad it is in comparison to the other games. Some people do enjoy it, but in comparison to the others not really.

Go buy the GameCube version. At least RENT it. It's better than the PS2 version. Like the fact it's not as bad as a lot of people say.
