That's $85 Canadian dollars (~$77 USD). That's about the same price.

PANIC!!!!!!!!

Let's be honest. People are actually looking for stuff to gripe about somewhat. Better to make excuses as to why keep going.

Honestly, I don't see why I wouldn't get at least the starter and a couple more "trappers". The more mileage I can get on my existing collection the better. Haven't even touched the 2nd half of the figures I've bought for this last game. Would be nice to bust them out in the starting team.

Hoping they contract out the IP to some other dev teams and give us a few variable games using out figures

Glad heroic challenges are gone. Imagine doing 165 per skylander. That's 27225 challenges. No thank you.

If I were you, I'd change the topic's title to reflect the USD price, or denote it as canadian currency. (You can change topic names, right?)

So... who is down to wait for that 35$ price drop it will hit 6 months later?

With stupid wave releases you can not even explore most of the skylander games new features or areas/levels on release date!

It's no different then downloadable content.

It's just packaged differently. TFB are just more upfront that they have more to come and you can see glimpses of much of that content.

And that's not "stupid" wave planning, it's the only intelligent way to do it. You can't flood stores with all the figures immediately. It doesn't work logistically. Nearly impossible to pull of a release of 60+ toys and expect stores to have shelf/warehouse space for that. Holding back on certain "elements" or "abilities" or "fan favorites" is the best way to get people to go back to get those ones, as you have to break it up anyway.

Some of you guys need to learn a bit more about business and logistical difficulties when you make these criticisms.

I don't feel like I wasted my money. Two extra characters, all variants, plus a giant posters was worth the extra $25 for me.

I am not asking for ALL figures to come out on release day. Keep the reposes, light cores, variants for future waves and release the basic figures needed to explore the storyline. For example with swapforce how long after the games release did we get all the diffferent swap abilities like stealth.

If prices go up this year, then I will counter with avoiding purchases until there's a sale.

Looking at the pre-orders so far it looks like the price is creeping down to what we saw SSF going for.

I don't expect to may more than £5 over what I paid for SSF if not the same. So I guess I am happy at that.

Wasn't sure at first, but I will get this, the kids love the idea and it looks fun. Getting excited now.

I expect if I buy it I'll wait a few months, or even till the next game (which we all know is coming), so I'm not worried about high prices too much.

The games always go on sale on Black Friday, and to a lesser extent later in the holiday season. The pre-order price seems to fall in line with the regular price of Swap Force. If you don't want to pay full price for it, then wait about a month and 1/2 and get it for about half the price. There is no reason to buy it at full price unless you really, really, want to have it on release day.

Well prices for video games are getting readjusted in Canada due to the canadian dollar value changing.
